Fabulous selection of chinese herbs and liniments. Often used by local acupuncturists as their source of bulk herbs and patent formulas. Prices used to be the best in town but they have crept up slowly over time so it may be cheaper to acquire elsewhere depending on the quantity you need.
It is a great store full of surprises if you spend some time to look around.

If you’re Chinese or your mom, dad, in-​laws, or aunt is Chinese in Portland, Wing Ming Herbs rings of comfort food, herbs, snacks, medicines, and more. It’s a dingy and dinky store (with matching small parking lot), but I’m glad Wing Ming is here to fill a large void in our lives for traditional Chinese items.
Wing Ming is also a good place to get a phone card for calling back to China or Taiwan. If you speak Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), you’ll probably get a little better deal, too. So, invite your mom, dad, in-​laws, or aunt to join you. They’ll find the little things they’ve missed for years while you get a good deal on a few hard to find Chinese goods.

Just most of the staff does not speak english, so gesture is needed.

This is the place where you can Chinese Herbs and teas at very good price. Don’t buy them at those so called «Natural» stores, they will rip you right off. The only problem with this place is the parking. Man, how can a person cramped 8 stores in a tiny space and offer 20 parking spaces.

No store in Portland has a greater variety of herbs than this store. I’ve gone to several Oriental and Asian markets to see what kinds of tea they have, and this is the only place that has multiple varieties of loose leaf tea in canisters; everyone else has packaged tea. The women here help me every time. My two favorite herbs here are gynostemma and ku ding. You have to go in here and check out their supply. They have so many herbs here your ego will deflate!

These folks are really set up to help. Plus their prices are unbeatable and I always enjoy their presence as they energeticly maintain their store and presence. And on top of that when I arrive there I experience a wellness from within as the body breaths all of the healthy air. A real treat… for free!
Also, one time as I purchase some Yee Tin Tong they let me know if I purchased one more bottle I would get Two more free. VERY HONEST business and I am so thankfull for all they do and that they are here to help. Thank you Wing Ming.

My mom bought some herbs here that I didn’t asked for. I only wanted some San She Dan Chuan Bei Ye for my toddler because he was coughing his lungs out and FDA pulled all the children cough medication due to misuse. At times like this, I’m glad I’m a little fob. Little guy’s cough has improved a lot.
Anyway, back to Wing Ming. The lady was very nice and helpful. I didn’t expect her to accept the returns since I’ve never had any luck with returning or exchanging stuff at an Asian store, but she took them back and let me exchange them for more SSDCBY. She gave me the wrong change though and didn’t give me back my four pennies but that was ok.

First, I am chinese, I grew up going to this area.
This place doesnt change much. The owners are stingy. You cant bargain with them at all.
I am not trying to be like stingy, but the bargaining is part of the Chinese culture. When you go to other places nearby, if you spend 100 dollars, they give you so sauce, at wings market, you get free drinks, this place you dont get anything not even a thank you.
I honestly dont think their price is the best.
You can buy as good of ginseng at Tin Seng Trading Co!!! and the people are more friendly, and it makes you feel like home.
Yin Wall, dont buy from this place. I would go to Tai Yen Chinese Herbs (across from ABC seafood) Much better quality and prices.
If you are chinese, you know this place has a so-​so reputation.
This place has pushy and unhelpful people. Last time one of the supplements was expired :/

Finally stepped into Wing Ming to get some things to help my pains.
LOVE this place.
If you’re needing Yin Chiao or maybe the patches I’ve been wearing to help with muscular pain called simply ‘701’ then you’ve arrived.
From Ginseng to roots and tinctures I can only imagine do the wildest stuff to you… This is mecca.

I drove basically all the way across town to visit this shop, because my acupuncturist has run out of a particular Chinese herb that I use, and told me that I could get it where she gets it.
This place is right on 82nd, and there’s a decent amount of parking, but good luck figuring out what door to use enter the shop. The street-​facing side of the bldg looks like a Chinese herb shop, the parking lot side looks like a standard mini-​mart/​bodega. Enter on the parking lot side.
Anyway, once I was inside, I was served promptly, but if I hadn’t had a photo of the label for the herb I was looking for, I would have been SOL, since I was not pronouncing it correctly.
The guy who bagged up my order was a bit brusque with me, but hey, he got the job done. Cheap prices, too.

My in-​laws are on a quest for eternal youth, or at least that’s what it seems like to me. They love trying any vitamins or medicine that promises less aches and pains and usually get most of their information from the Vietnamese channels on television. Usually ordering from these infomercials cost a shipping and handling fee, but since they’ve discovered Wing Ming herbs, they have been able to find most of the advertised vitamins at this location where they have aisles and aisles of various herbs. The sales associates are friendly and are helpful in helping you find what you’re looking for. My in-​laws have yet to find a cure for aging, so I bet we’ll be frequenting WM often!

Wing Ming herbs is a truly amazing place. This is an old school Chinese herbary where an astonishing variety of herbs, patent medicines, teas, ginseng, etc etc etc are available. They also sell bulk quantities of teas, herbs, and spices at very very good prices. But their main focus is on Traditional Chinese Medicine, which they do very well at very affordable prices.
Don’t be put off if you are non-​Chinese, I find the Wing Ming staff to be very welcoming and almost everyone who works there is multi-​lingual.
Wing Ming is one of Portland’s treasures, we are very fortunate to have Mrs. Ming in our community!
