Well Hung Windows restores and repairs old and historic wood windows. Double hung windows are often in need of new sash cords, repair, or glass replacement. We also do dry rot repair for the window sashes and the sills. We greatly enjoy restoring window sashes to their original functionality. Restoring window sashes to their original beauty by removing layers of paint or old finish then applying new shellac provides stunning results to your old windows. We also restore casement sashes (the sash swings out or in on hinges).

History

Established in 2010.

Dennis began restoring the old windows in his 1905 home over 15 years ago. As his skill and knowledge grew, he decided to try it as a business. He acquired his contractors license in 2010.

Dennis has been a musician, computer programmer, and now a contractor. He is passionate about the old homes and their beautiful windows. His skill and attention to detail has made him quite popular in the Portland area. His wife and business partner often joins him in his work.
