Meet the Business Owner

Don H.

Business Owner

Twenty-four years and over 177 productions and special events since 1989! I can tell, because of the grey hair and the large bookcase in my office with binders from each and every show.

I was 35 years old when I took a play around to various theatres here in Portland and everyone rejected it. I was told that «if you believe in it that much, you should produce it yourself.» So, I did. That play was After the Rain which was produced at the Firehouse Theatre, SW Montgomery and it became a smash, thanks in part to Cascade Aids and to someone I met that night that has remained a dear friend ever since, Jeff Fisher.

For the third year in a row, we have not increased our prices, thanks in part to several foundations giving us multi-year grants the several individuals who believe in our work and their incredible gifts.

I hope you are as excited as I am about this year’s season. Come, take the adventure with us — you never know who you might find or see!

Shoeless as ever… always

Donald
