I wish I lived in Portland because I would come here constantly. Great atmosphere and even better massage! I’ve had several and this one was for sure the best. Guess I’m going to need an excuse to come back into town!

Mother-​daughter spa day! We both got the hour long full body massage. My masseuse was very nice and spent a lot of time on the body parts I asked her to. In the beginning she also asked about the temperature of the room/​bed. She also checked in with me regarding the strength.
The only two not so good things were that she didn’t wipe me down after the massage. Maybe it’s because they have showers on site but every other place I’ve gone to they wipe the oil off with a hot towel. My mom was given a hot towel to wipe herself but I was not. The other bad thing was the women’s bathroom. The entrance is in a hallway that has several other massage rooms so you have to make sure you’re clothed or have a towel wrapped around you because the bathroom door opens wide and anyone in the hall can catch a glimpse.
Overall I enjoyed my massage and my mom did too.

The scheduling snafu’s are a bit frustrating. But Meredith, Kyle, and the apothecary team made it all worth while. I won’t be coming to gt a massage but I really did have a redeeming positive customer service experience after I expressed my dissatisfaction.

I received a spa package for my birthday. With a full time job and two small children at home, my spa day at Dragontree was a peaceful breakaway. The aromatherapy and massage were very relaxing. I enjoyed the cozy robe, using the sauna and sipping tea between treatments, and the facial was both relaxing and informative.

My wife and I had massages here today. Masseur Jason gave my wife the best foot massage she’s ever had! Rob, likewise, did a fantastic job on my neck and shoulders. He knew exactly what needed work and what pressure to use.
They were very professional and made us feel welcome. We both independently decided to tip them 50%! That’s how satisfied we were with the job they did.

Such a relaxing and wonderful experience! Their foot baths are the best — I’ll take a dragon tree foot bath over a pedicure every day of the week

I’m an athlete, who after a decently bad car wreck, has had quite a lot of body work and massage.
I can honestly say that the deep tissue massage I received from Tim Rautio was the best I’ve ever had. Tim absolutely knew what he was doing, in terms of the best ways to approach my specific issues and also how much pressure to use — hint: A LOT.
Great, great massage. If I lived in portland I would see him regularly.

This is for the Dragontree at the Portland Airport. This is now a must visit on a lay over. Great massage by Victoria. The atmosphere is an escape that is incredibly relaxing. They give you a warm neck wrap, allow you to relax in a recliner while you wait and relax afterwards also. It’s near café Yumm which is a healthy place to grab food for a long ride also.

This is my go to massage place in Portland. I always ask for a gift certificate for Christmas or my birthday and love when I can cash in on them. As soon as you walk in you feel more relaxed. Since I am creature of habit, I always go with the Swedish massage. It’s so relaxing and just what I need for stress relief. They have tons of other options, but I can’t speak for any of those.
You get changed in the locker room, which also has a sauna. I definitely recommend getting their early so you can use it! They have nice showers and all the toiletries you need, should you forget anything.
I have had a different massage therapist each time and I’ve always had an amazing massage. I would also suggest making your reservation in advance, especially for special occasions, the schedule tend to fills quickly for popular times. Highly recommended!

I love this place. I had the Full Bliss Immersion which is about three hours’ worth of soothing, pampering Ayurvedic treatments. Jolene was the best! She was warm, friendly, and highly skilled. I could tell that she enjoys what she does and wanted it to be a great experience for me. Everything was great down to the last detail. I will definitely schedule with her again!
Tip: The shirodhara and abhyanga will leave your hair completely drenched in oil. It is hard to wash out if you have long or thick hair. The treatment feels amazing though, and it’s totally worth it!

I have been to the Dragontree twice now and will continue to use them for spa days! Love the atmosphere and the staff. They are all very pleasant and accommodating! I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a wonderful, peaceful spa. I love coming here. All the providers have been fabulous and genuinely seem interested in my well-​being. I have had foot soaks, foot massage, scalp massage, facials of varying lengths, Swedish massage, and deep-​tissue. ALL have been excellent! This is now a regular part of my wellness routine.

I got a gift certificate here for $ 375 and I spent it on their biggest spa package, sweet solace. When you walk in you instantly feel calm and the natural lighting fit in with the theme of the spa. The lady’s locker room was very very clean, always stocked, and super chic. My massage with Jolene was incredible, she did a wonderful job and I enjoyed the aromatherapy very much. Next was the facial which was also amazing, I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! She also had very nice tips to keep my face looking healthy. My package came with a lunch that I got to pick out and I got their rice and bean bowl and it was so yummy! The staff here caters to your every need and they want you to enjoy yourself as much as possible which I really appreciate. The scalp oil treatment was so nice because I love getting my head massaged but don’t get this done if don’t want oil in your hair for a day. Your hair turns out super soft if you do though!

This is the place my boyfriend and I come to for couple’s massages. We had two amazing therapists the last time we visited that really focused on our most troubled areas. The atmosphere here is very relaxing, and the staff is very friendly. Thanks!

Had a couple’s massage for my wife 40^th birthday and it was great! I had my first salt scrub and I fell like a hundred bucks

Unfortunately, while I had good massage therapist, I won’t be returning back here due to how crowded and noisy the spa was. The small bathroom was packed with women who were being extremely loud (shrieking) and no one told them to quiet down. After I changed into my robe, I went to the «pre-​massage» seating area, which was packed and i had to stand in the hallway until a seat opened up (again, ladies being very noisy and no staff helping the situation or letting me sit elsewhere). After my massage, I tried to use the sauna, but it was less than relaxing because of the crowds and again, the noise level.
For one of the more expensive spas in Portland, I was extremely disappointed that staff did not remind the other guests to lower their voices, or to better schedule services so that 15 women wouldn’t be changing in a cramped bathroom at the same time. I’m further disappointed that a week after I expressed my concerns via email feedback, I have not been contacted. Hence the poor Unilocal review.
UPDATE:
Shortly after I posted this, the spa manager called me directly to address my concerns and was very helpful. I had been here prior to this poor experience with good experiences and she convinced me to come back for a try again— so here’s to hoping that will bring my experience back up to 5 stars!

I give Jowie a 5 star rating because that was the best massage I have ever had! He did a great job with the trigger point treatment. He is very professional, attentive and I can tell he loves what he does.
I give this location 3 stars, because I did not feel too much at ease with the towel/​bathroom stock girl coming into the bathroom what seemed like every 2 minutes. I did not feel like I had privacy changing. Plus, you could see the upstairs business through the light fixtures, which also did not feel like I had privacy.

Definitely what I needed between long flights. A had the milk foot bath and they also offer their own blend of herbal tea complimentary, very relaxing!

Can’t believe I waited as long as I did to try this place! I love day spas, and I’ve certainly been to quite a few in Portland (the one I went to previously on a regular basis, shut down last year).
Anyway, decided I needed a spa day (and I had a coupon in the Chinook book that I wanted to use — $ 20 off $ 100 worth of services), so I booked a couple of services. The person I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful, and got me in on the weekend I requested with my four services back-​to-​back.
For some reason I thought Dragontree was in the Pearl, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was on NW Thurman, near the NW 23^rd area. Easy street parking, which is always a plus. I only had to park about a block away in a residential area.
I was able to book morning appointments, which was nice, because I think I was one of the first clients there.
My first two appointments were done in the Sangha Room (community space), and I was fortunate enough to be in there alone during my treatments: a footbath (including a hand and foot paraffin treatment); foot and lower leg massage; hand and arm massage; and head, shoulder and scalp massage. Very relaxing, and the therapist who did my massage, was wonderful.
I also got a custom facial, with a mild peel, and that was also wonderful. Megan did my facial, and she was very good — very through cleaning and wonderful massage. Overall, a really nice experience.
I also loved the décor, which has rich tones of purple, reds, greens and golds. Very comfortable, and everyone I encountered was incredibly nice.
Overall, a lovely and relaxing experience, and I will definitely be back.

Think I’ve just found my favorite day spa in all of Portland: The Dragontree! About a month before Valentine’s Day, I wanted to do something really special for my sig other. I turned to Unilocal for help (haha that rhymes), and Dragontree seemed like an excellent idea.
We booked our appointment by phone for a 90 minute couples massage, he requested a swedish, and I went for a deep tissue. The operator took our credit card info to reserve our spot.
The day of, we arrived about an hour early to allow time to change and relax in the sauna. The massage therapists greeted us and showed us into a room with two tables side-​by-​side. The massage was truly wonderful. The therapists weren’t too chatty but still personable.
At the end, they offered suggestions for health improvement (i.e. upselling products), but I loved my whole experience! I’m anxious to return for another massage!
