We went here with some friends a couple weeks ago. I am not a vegan, not that I’m against it. However, I don’t normally seek out vegan places to eat. My friends suggested we go here for dinner. I have to say it was very good, the people were nice and the food came out fairly quickly and the«meat» they have in their dishes really do give you the satisfaction of having meat in your dish. If you’re vegan, or a friend of Asian foods, try this place.

Oh Sweet Lemon Vegan Bistro you captured my heart. You mean to tell me that you offer delicious, healthy food made by kind-hearted people who make you feel instantly at home(all while soothing, relaxing music plays in the background)? Well thank you for all that and for existing. I ordered the Perfection(a vegan take on vietnamese soup) based on other Unilocal reviews. It was delicious. You can tell that details, health, and good vibes are a priority here and I really, really dig that.

Heck yes! This is what we were looking for: good vegan phở! So delicious, so fresh, and the owner is wonderful. We will back soon. Heck, we will be back all the time. 100% vegan menu to die for!

Delicious vegan food. I love the crispy yam and soy protein. The veggies are perfectly cooked, rice is great. And the desserts are so good!!! Coconut cake. Lots of parking and I love to take a walk through Bethany after eating.

I’ve been to Sweet lemon twice now and on both visits I was more than impressed. The staff are very friendly and take time to answer any questions that one may have about the menu. Both times I had the raw wrap called the Nirvana. It was delicious! I definitely suggest giving this place a shot, even if you are not vegan. It’s a great alternative to eating heavy meals consisting mostly of meat. They also have fantastic desserts. Happy eating!

Just ate here for the first time. I’m not a vegetarian but do eat gluten free so there are plenty of options available. I ordered the pad Thai and it was pretty good with tofu and soy protein, but I tried a bite of my daughters ‘jumping princess ’ dish with rice and yam soy protein… it was excellent! We’ll be back.

My mind is blown after discovering this place. Everything I’ve tried is super fresh and has amazing flavors. Try the«green retreat» salad. You won’t be disappointed! This is way beyond a normal salad. The freshness, texture and flavor of this is just incredible! And, super friendly staff in a pleasant atmosphere!

First time coming in here today and it was such a lovely experience! Fahn and another employee were so nice, and the customer service was excellent. Food was good too, i had some potstickers, bao bun and noodles with soy protein. The soy protein was marinated well and cooked thoroughly. To finish i ordered a tiramisu cake but they accidently delivered a berry cake which they let me keep and got me the correct cake. Such a sweet place, definitely coming for lunch once i start at PCC!(:

this place is so yummy! The guy at the counter was so nice and recommended some great food. We tried some skewers that were SO good. Everything was fresh and came out quickly. Food was fairly priced and the dishes were unique. We will definitely be back!

We loved this place. As we walked in, we were greeted by Tran at the counter not as newbies but old acquaintances. She was super enthusiastic about recommending dishes and getting to know our preferences. We got the Kabob… Small portion size but perfect on taste; we went back for seconds. I got the thai wrap in rice paper, so light but filling & flavorful. Husband got a stirfry with brown rice again delicious. We r going to go back with friends. The food is light on the stomach, flavorful & really one of its kind!

Didn’t have a chance to try the food because they don’t supply high chairs for children. So unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to go in and taste the food. We read all the good reviews but had to give them a one because it wasn’t baby friendly for my son, I guess we won’t be coming back until he’s actually able to sit in a regular chair since they don’t provide highchairs or have any for families with young children.

Great quick vegetarian food! Fresh and tasty, had one of the rice paper wraps with the best peanut sauce I have ever had, I will be back! Staff was very nice.

Generally, I have a complete aversion for any oriental or Thai food even if they claim that it is vegetarian. But the food in this restaurant is different, tastes amazing! And it is vegan! Really? Absolutely no animal product in a oriental menu? Or is it really Asian menu? Well! I will keep going there and order and eat with a complete faith that it is vegan unless someone else proves me otherwise

Not sure what food other reviewers ate because my experience this evening was awful. Being a vegan enthusiast I was really excited to see all the great reviews and was determined to eat here during my visit to Portland. I ordered the Zen Noodles, which came with two very lame strips of soggy tofu, a miserable portion of veggies and noodles that were literally sopping with oil. Any flavor that may have once existed was masked by the taste of veg oil. Forget the soy protein entirely — wtf was that?! Super gross. I tried to reserve final judgment until after I ate the choc cake but I’m sad to report that it was only slightly less disappointing. Texture was very dry and the frosting tasted like some overly processed and pre-packaged frosting from off a grocery store shelf. I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Love Sweet Lemon! First came here when we had JUST moved to Hillsboro. Sadly, the area is rather a void of vegan food, except for the amazing Sweet Lemon. The food is awesome and delicious. The menu has a great variety of food. Everything I’ve had has been awesome. While I prefer a more Japanese style ramen, theirs is still good. I would recommend the Perfection soup though. That one is my favourite. The wraps are awesome as well. The mo shoo is more of a wrap than the thin paper kind you would expect. Still devourable. Personally, I’m not a fan of vegan meats; ham especially, too realistic for me. But I still love all their meals.

Yay! I’m a fan! I took a vegetarian friend here after her trip to New Orleans(a.k.a. Where Vegetarians Go to Starve) and it may have saved her life. How many times can you walk into a restaurant and everything on the menu is vegan and delicious? Both of the warm, brothy soups we had were delicious. Precious Pearls Soup: Broth was a little sweet, but the perfect temperature. Healthy size portion, I did not go hungry! The wontons with tofu had great flavor, I wanted more! It was a little hard to eat with the big pieces of broccoli and the«regular» spoon instead of a soup spoon. Minor complaints, but worth noting. The fresh green onions on top made everything come together. Lemonade: A little sugary and I had to mix it in the ice a little bit to get it cold enough. But it was delicious! Served with an umbrella so I was sold. Vegan definitely is elevated at this restaurant and prepared with love. Notes: Busy area but the restaurant is accessible, all on one level. Most items around $ 10. A little bit dark lighting and not too much seating, enough, just not a lot.

Ok so it’s a bit of a trip to get up into the North for this one but if you want really good vegan food with an Asian style this is the spot! This might be my favorite vegan food place period, right up there with Lotus in North Portland. Great choices of things from fresh rolls, to phở to stir fry veg and noodles. All very creative and tasty! Plus it’s a mom and pop operation and they are crazy nice. Plus you can see that everything here is done with care, even the bathroom is very clean and the décor is clearly thoughtfully selected. Fresh and tasty! I recommend them even for non vegans as even my meat loving wife enjoyed the experience.

I don’t eat vegan often, but I liked the idea of an Asian food spin at this bistro. I ordered the: Perfection Noodle Soup, menu description:(Rice noodles, tofu, soy protein, and bean spouts, cilantro, green onions and lime with a uniquely spice infused vegetable broth. A spicy dish from Central Vietnam, Hu! *Gluten-free option available upon request This seems to be a vegan version of Bun Bo Hue. I was pretty impressed with the Spice and flavor. The tofu and soy protein were satisfying enough to not miss real meat. Hot tea is served in a cute little teapot. Service was Excellent! The gentleman called patrons by their first name. He was welcoming and eager to explain the food for first timers. If I had a place like this closer to home, it would be on regular rotation each week.
