Skinnidip

We stopped by to get a cool treat. We ordered the Country Vanilla, Mountain Blackberry, and the Tart flavors. The yogurt was deliciously smooth, cool and sweet. We used Groupon and got a percentage off on our total bill. I also checked in on Unilocal,and Skinnidip will give you a 16 oz. yogurt of your choice, therefore, I chose the Mountain Blackberry yogurt to take home for later. We had some good deals offered from Skinnidip. We dropped by in the afternoon and there was one girl working. She did her best with the crowd that was after us. All in all, we were happy with our Skinnidip yogurt.

This place is not even worth a single star. The confusion with the deal on Unilocal was forgivable. What was not was the sales person served the two customers who came in after us, and when we thought she would be dishing our order, she started mopping the floor! When we asked about our order she acted like what? Oh, I’m sorry. She said. Really? Did she really overlook us? What about the other sales person who rung up our order? She just went into the back room and sat down. Really? I wouldn’t be surprised if this place doesn’t make it.

Literally the worst frozen yogurt place. The only reason I’ve been here twice is because it’s down the street from my apartment and they are open late when those cravings hit. Besides location/​closing time, everything from product quality to service is shit. There’s a better place for fro yo in downtown which is amazing

This is for people who understand pink berry style frozen yogurt. Not for your junk-​food-​aholic but for people who actually like the yogurt part of the frozen yogurt. Especially their tart which is excellent and leaves you feeling sooooo good! Great for people who love a healthier treat and have dairy issues. Yogurt is so good for your tummy!

I am a big fan of the self-​serve yogurt places. This isn’t one of those places, but this shop offers quality fare that you don’t miss the self-​serveness. Good size portions and just a cool vibe (get it?). Take advantage of the Unilocal!deal too.

Good flavored and toppings for a reasonable price. Lately they have Unilocal and groupon deals too. Only downside is that it’s not necessarily self serve which makes the entire trip take longer and you start to feel bad asking to sample too many of the yogurts

Skinni dip is a great fro yo place downtown. The quality of the flavors is so much better than those little places popping up everywhere. My only complaint is that they are a little pricey.

Great service and cute décor, which is always a plus.
The taste of the original tart froyo was light and refreshing. Compared to other froyo joints, they don’t have as many fresh fruit toppings to choose from, but overall a good little place that’s open late night. Will definitely be back again if in the area.

That said, it’s honestly probably a better deal than a place that charges by weight – portions are generous and they don’t skimp on toppings. I happen to be one of those weirdos who likes a tiny bit of froyo and a large variety of toppings, so I don’t think I’ll be frequenting, even though it’s practically across the street from my apartment.
Docked a star because charging extra for flavors (as opposed to plain) was sneaky and weird.

Pretty standard fro-​yo shop; but it does the trick! Personally, I like having them handle the toppings. They serve large portions, you won’t feel shorted!

After a less than stellar experience the first time I was here, I stopped in last night to try it again. Huge improvement! I left full and happy and genuinely looking forward to returning. Gracie (I think??) was such a sweetheart– I really enjoyed talking to her and she was patient while I mulled the samples I got. Of the six flavors the store carries, I tried cake batter, chocolate and mountain blackberry. Even though it’s not out of the norm, I loved the chocolate! Such a pure flavor, and a great texture. Definitely a winner. I tried the waffle bowl– do this. Warm, Belgian style waffle, fro yo, toppings of your choice and Nutella. Oh my gosh! So good. I’d never seen it done exactly that way, so props for creativity. Thank you Trevor and Gracie for the sweet treat experience.

Froyo, just like everywhere else — except on the wrong side of the counter. They take directions and make your group for you (why??) which makes it very awkward. Instead of choosing my own toppings by weight, the way I like it, I get this guy who does it completely differently and makes a mess of it too. Not coming back.

The woman helping me out today was so friendly and the place was very clean! Not to mention, nice and cold! I’m in the middle of a move and needed something nice and cool and close by to snack on while i took a break from the heat. I used a Unilocal voucher and she took my order with a sweet smile. This is totally going to make my day! Thanks lady with the awesome dreads! Will definitely come back!

I came here before it got under new management and still return. It’s not self serve, but it is actually quite nice knowing exactly what you are going to pay. Depending on what you order it’s cheaper than the weigh-​and-​pay places anyway. It’s also very sanitary. The self serve places always start you off with a slightly large cup making you feel obligated to get more and then you can’t take it back after adding on the crazy toppings and realizing your creation costs more than expected.
So this is a plus! Obviously the more you get the cheaper it is. It’s easy to do the math on the medium yogurt without toppings since medium is 10oz and we don’t need to consider the weight of the toppings (and it’s easy to divide by ten).
Original is the cheapest and my favorite!!! It has the right amount of tart and just tastes so delicious! Never had I tasted tart so good.
Even though topping is about $ 1 extra (cheaper of course when you get more) I feel like they do a good job putting a nice helping of toppings that it’s still cheaper than other spots as long as you order medium or large size. I was even being fair by assuming the topping are 1 oz and it’s still less than 50 cents per ounce (for medium or large), but I know toppings are what tips the scale when I go to a self serve so you do get a better deal by having a set price.
If you want 6 oz or less (which who does that when they go to froyo?) then it’s not worth it unless you are getting the original tart, but for the 10oz or more the price is very good and the frozen yogurt so delicious here.
I recommend the original tart and if you must have toppings, fruit pairs very well with it.

This is by far the best froyo place I’ve ever been! The staff is amazing and their customer service is spot-​on! Not only so they have delicious rotating yogurt flavors and toppings but they have amazing, ever-​expanding drink options!
I love taking home a freezer-​ready pint of my favorite flavors! I am beyond excited for the new pumpkin flavor!
Way more yogurt for your money than other places. Skinnidip is the only place I buy frozen yogurt now, the new owners are wonderful!

Yogurt is okay but the pearl milk tea is disgusting! would not recommend for good bubble tea.

We live nearby and used to go there on weekends with our kid. At some point, they implemented cost cutting exercise, they carefully weight every order (significantly less than what we used to get), reduced the portion of toppings significantly (They charge $ 1 for the first topping yet, you get way less than a table spoon of topping). This place is never crowded but we supported it because we liked it but now we feel that we are seriously getting ripped off.

The closest boba joint to my house but their options leave much to be desired. The flavors are limited and most the time the staff aren’t 100% clear on how to make it correctly. I always seem to get a ton of ice or they can’t figure out the sealing top mechanism and end up giving me a lid which doesn’t fit the straw. I’ve only had their froyo once or twice but have found the prices to be high for what you’re getting and the flavors limiting. Employees are friendly enough but seem to wish they were elsewhere.

If I’m up in this neck of the woods, this is an OK place to stop and get some frozen yogurt. I’ve always found the place clean, and the location is certainly convenient on my way home from a walk around the NW 23^rd neighborhood. The frozen yogurt is tasty and there’s a nice supply of toppings as well. Service by the young servers is quick but distant — their minds seem to be elsewhere. However, with Salt & Straw ice cream just a few blocks away and the other more creative frozen yogurt shops scattered around Goose Hollow, I think they need to step up their game, but perhaps like the young servers, Skinnidip’s focus is distant.

No vanilla!?! The guy before me stormed out in a huff. Me, I’m not such a diva.
Although I too really wanted a vanilla/​chocolate swirl, the friendly gal suggested the original tart which is vanilla-​esque as it is the same color as vanilla but unlike vanilla, it really is a little tart in flavor. She described it as Greek style. It had a nice flavor and was really refreshing on a nice, warm day.
I also wanted a swirl with chocolate and she was not able to do a swirl. Ok, no swirl. Not the end of the world. I can mush my flavors together myself. I can’t just have a pile of frozen yogurt that would be way too healthy; I had to have her pour chocolate syrup all over my yogurt.
No vanilla — no swirl. The end product was pretty darn good anyway. Huffy guy doesn’t know what he is missing.
