Rob is a mechanic genius/​warrior poet/​philanthropist playboy! Well, I can’t confirm that last one but what I do know is that Rob got me out of a very bad spot. To make a long story short, I broke a bolt on my jeep and then broke an extractor in that bolt. Very bad. Other auto repair/​machine shops literally told me (and by literally, I literally mean literally) that there was nothing that could be done and that they wouldn’t touch it or that I should just write my jeep off. I stopped by this place and rob looked at it and said, «Yeah, no problem. I can get that out.» Well, he did it and in the same day and for a reasonable price. I was floored! This will be my shop forever. Not only are they great mechanics, but they are all super nice guys.

I backed into a low concrete basin and bent my whole muffler assembly and pipe, and my muffler was banging against my gas tank. I took it to another shop who quoted me such a crazy price, I considered selling the car. Kinda. The mechanic lady at the first shop recommended checking into a muffler specialty shop for a lower price. So, thanks to a Google Maps mistake, I found myself quite by accident at the door of Performance. It was the end of the day for these gents, but he took a look and said, «Give me an hour and a half and you’ll be on your way.»
He saved the muffler itself, used a spare pipe he had laying around and bent it into shape himself (by what I assume were his own brawny muscles), clipped everything in securely, and even gave the job a nice black spray painting to protect against rust. (Also, it looks way nicer.)
All of that took less than an hour and a half, and was ¹⁄₃ the cost of the first shop’s quote. I’ve been driving it around for 2 weeks now, and everything is still running smoothly. I highly recommend heading over to these guys, they’re nice, professional, affordable, and fast. Saved my buns in a pinch, and I’m going back to them next week for a window problem. (That’s right, they do more than mufflers!)

Excellent guys, I’ve used them exclusively for the past 6 years with four different cars, and have always had a pleasant experience. I wouldn’t consider taking a car to any other shop before I let them look it over. They’ve never steered me wrong or left me feeling like I overpaid. I always recommend them to friends. Some of the most honest mechanics around, and affordable to boot. Honestly can’t say enough good things about them.
