Nitroprint

I’d like to start out by saying that we never had issues with the quality of the work. The issues are with customer service. We had done business with them for several years and through 3 locations. Their office hours are really limited and as a customer it smacks of laziness After dealing with the very out of the way location we eventually inquired about shipping and made arrangements for that instead. At one point we had placed an order (we did so by direct email the entire time) and were suddenly told the price had doubled. The price had been good and had remained the same, but to literally double the price was a bit much. Most businesses do incremental increases over time. It was also unorthodox to only be informed after placing the order and not receive a notification about price increases. Not very professional, but we decided to continue to keep our business local. Everything went along for a time, but then we had been waiting on an order that never was delivered. Mind you, they do not send emails with tracking letting you know an order has shipped. So we were in need of this order and had no idea why it still had not been delivered. We contacted them and were told it was delivered and were given the tracking number. It most certainly was not as I work from home and was at home the supposed day and time of delivery. I let them know all this and fully expected them to handle the situation. Doing a lot of shipping for our company there are certain standard practices. I expected them to rush the order to get it to us and that they’d contact their shipper (UPS) and file a claim since it wasn’t delivered. Instead they told me it was our problem and that we needed to contact UPS ourselves. REALLY?! We had already paid for the product and shipping, but now had nothing and their attitude was that they’d do nothing. So we filed the complaint with UPS who then were «researching» the issue. In the meantime I had already needed my product and clearly could not use Nitroprint after this. So I lost time and found another company (
) and have had no issues (several orders now) and the prices are reasonable. Over a month had passed and I had UPS drivers come talk to me 4 times because they apparently were aware that they delivered the package to a house down the street (my regular driver was gone that week). So they knew this and I contacted customer service several times about my refund (claim was filed as receiver). Finally I spoke with someone who said the claim was closed and lied about having called me because I knew they never did. Then they said they called Nitro and they never answered or returned their calls. Then they changed their story to the shipper having to file the claim. This is exactly why the shipper ALWAYS files a claim. In this instance I had already pointed out to Nitro that the claim would be paid out on the retail value, so actually they would make more money that way anyway (paid retail for double the order instead of a loss for the actual cost of the original order). So then I had to go back to Nitro and tell them that I wanted a refund and UPS said they had to file the insurance claim. Nothing but more issues with Nitro — them saying they didn’t have to refund my money, then them saying they’d give me less than half my money back, etc They made all these claims that they aren’t responsible for lost packages, then stating that there is something on their website that protects them from lost packages. None of this is legally true. First of all, we weren’t held to anything on their website as we didn’t place an order on the site. Secondly, there is absolutely nothing you can put on your website that limits your liability for lost or damaged packages. Just because you put something on your website doesn’t make it legal. They are always 100% responsible for lost/​damaged merchandise. If they don’t have sufficient insurance for a package that is their problem, not the receiver. They select the shipper, shipping method, and insurance, so the receiver has 0 liability in this. Plus it’s just bad service. I’ve had to deal with lost/​damaged merchandise and when possible I had reshipped immediately. In the event that I can’t then I issue a full refund immediately. I file an an insurance claim as the shipper and have never had any issues getting prompt refunds from the shipping companies we use. So after several emails and finally letting Nitro know that they had better issue a full refund within a couple days or they could deal with our company lawyers (and pay for that as well), Nitro finally issued the refund. Had they handled this appropriately they never would have lost our business (we’ve had more orders than ever lately and will continue to need more product). It took a couple months and the prospect of legal action to get them to do the right thing (you know, what they are actually legally obligated to do). No apologies from them ever. Beware.

Fast, reasonably priced & professional. I was hoping to get my postcards within 2 days & Nitroprint processed and completed my order within 24 hours! I will definitely use them again next time I need promotional materials printed.

There are three basics I require in doing business with the locals. And they’re not fussy requirements by any means!
1) Get it done quick.
2) Get it done right the first time, after a complete consultation.
3) Please be close to my house, because I have officially turned into one of those Portlanders that doesn’t like to cross the river if I can help it.
The crew at Nitro Print easily fulfilled all of those req’s. I even stopped by without officially letting them know I was GOING to be stopping by, and they dropped what they were doing in the office to accommodate me. Great communication from the business owner, a quality product, and a friendly face attached to all of it.
Also, they are now located in the Slabtown neighborhood, so they’re within spitting distance of some of the coolest venues and businesses in town. Smart move, Nitro Print; moving your business closer to people you potentially want to do business with.
I have too many friends in this town with their own business ventures or promotional needs. Where do you think I’ll be sending them, with praises of quick, quality print jobs? Take one guess.

NP did a custom print job on the business cards for my wife’s new company. They gave us this cool UV effect on the text to make it pop. Wasn’t expecting that. Nice job, NP.

I needed some business cards in a rush and Nitroprint got it done. When they gave me the quote and estimate for timing, I didn’t even factor them being closed on MLK and they still got the cards done in time for me to go on a business trip. (I think it was only 4 business days) I’ll be doing business here in the future.

Awesome company. Always fast and easy to work with. Great value. I’ve tried other companies that were a little less in price and hot burned. Nitroprint is the best I’ve ordered from.

I wish the owner of this business wasn’t still commenting on my Unilocal review, harassing me about it years later, and asserting his version of the story yet again. How inappropriate and tacky.

I used to use them a lot in the past. I’ve told them years ago that their website only loads in IE. Not Chrome or Firefox (on my Android for testing). They didn’t listen. I’m sitting here with $ 1,000 worth of printing to be done and I’m not going to switch back to my old crap PC just to place orders. And you can’t even leave them a voicemail. WTF.

Very unprofessional. They don’t own InDesign or know how to use it or how it works. While they are an inexpensive print option, they don’t have the proper print knowledge or customer service to handle larger jobs or the proper steps in place to properly check against files given to them for page layout format.
Recently I had a job go wrong with Nitro Print and they were unable to help me resolve the problem. Instead I had to get 750 books reprinted (the day of the event) by another Printer (Impact Printing) they did an awesome job and took my InDesign files no problem!
Nitro then went behind my back and called my client! This was a very unprofessional and unethical move by Nitro Print, my client who trusts me 100% was not impressed with them.
If you are looking for a printer who will take your job and supply you with the upmost care to insure that you recieve an end result that you’ll be proud of, I would not go to Nitro Print.

Always good friendly service and super quick and good quality. I will only be going to nitro print to print my fliers. Very happy with them.

I went to Nitroprint with my 1^st ever, self designed flier. From the get-​go, I felt like they were looking out for me. I had a few mistakes that I had overseen in the set up, and was alerted of them right away. So quick, in fact, that it gave me an opportunity to make changes without affecting when the job would be done. In the past, one of my partners sent out a flier to a place out of state and not only did they take 4 days with a shipping charge on top, they also cut off a good portion of our logo, with no warning or notice. Even though my partner and I now work independently, we now both go to Nitroprint for the local service, as well as the super fast turn around, and attention to quality.
They are very helpful and knowledgeable… Besides the fact that they are one of the cheapest in town! :)

I have worked with Nitroprint on several projects in the last couple of years. They’ve always been awesome to work with and the price/​quality have always been great. Love them!
