Description

Specialties

We treat an array of pain complaints, form headaches and neck pain to low back pain and ankle sprains. Acupuncture is a very effective form of medicine to treat the acute conditions that arise from sports injuries or the trauma of a car accident. Acupuncture, along with massage and moxibustion, helps to stimulate local blood circulation, decrease swelling and relax the body’s stress response so that healing can begin. Chronic pain resulting from such things as arthritis or overuse can be more stubborn and difficult to treat. That is why at Inner Gate Acupuncture we combine acupuncture and massage with postural assessments and functional diagnosis to address muscle imbalances that have developed from managing these pains over a long period of time.

Over the years we have found that women’s health concerns respond well to acupuncture. Acupuncture is a very effective in regulating hormone imbalance, often the culprit with PMS, difficult menstrual cycles and endometriosis. Hormone imbalance is often at the root of infertility, and acupuncture and Chinese herbs are great if you are trying to conceive naturally or want a cost-effective, low risk supplementation to IVF or IUI. Once pregnant we can provide support along the way, helping to resolve 1st trimester nausea and fatigue, 3rd trimester pain, and labor induction.

We work in tandem with our patients to develop an individualized treatment plan insuring they receive the quality healthcare they need and deserve.

History

Established in 2005.

Oliver and Erik realized how important it was to accept insurance and make acupuncture cost effective for our patients. We are on every insurance plan that covers acupuncture. Within a year of opening, we hired our first employee and our patients are supported daily by a strong staff that works with insurance companies, auto accident claims and workers compensation companies.

Due to continued community support, we have added additional acupuncturists, Casey McGuire, Tanya Zhu and James Houston.

In 2015, we completed the most comprehensive sports medicine acupuncture certification program available. This yearlong program advanced our assessment and treatment of sports injuries. We integrate Chinese medicine principles with western disorders, evaluate injuries and orthopedic disorders and perform postural assessments to identify global imbalances that lead to injuries. For patient’s, this means a clinician with advanced diagnostic and treatment skills.
