A native Portlander, Dr Shimshak graduated from OHSU Dental School, where he also taught operative dentistry for 15 years. He is currently a member of the OHSU Alumni Board of Directors, as well as the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association and Multnomah Dental Association.

A native Portlander, Dr Shimshak graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School, where he also taught operative dentistry for 15 years. He is currently a member of the OHSU Alumni Board of Directors, as well as the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association and Multnomah Dental Association.

Dr. Shimshak enjoys getting to know each and every one of his patients. When you check in for your appointment, you will often find that Dr. Shimshak will come have a seat with you in our reception area to catch up on your latest news. Dr. Shimshak wants each patient to know that they are important to him.

In his free time, Dr Shimshak enjoys golf, running, and travel. Along with his wife Deanna, he has 4 children and 2 grandchildren
