Dr Gaman and his staff are the best in Portland. Their kindnesses and excellent work is superior. They are kind and Dr makes sure whatever needs to be done is comforatble.
His manner and that of his staff is exemplary.
He is the best dentist I have ever had.

A few of my co-​workers told me they go to this office so I made the easy decision to make an appointment. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. I got a root canal and was told that I should get a crown eventually, but that I could worry about that later. Since there was no urgency in his voice and no direction from him or his staff to follow up, I never did… nor did they. A year later the same tooth that I got worked on is now in two halves. I have to get it removed completely. My new dentist tells me this is what happens when you don’t get a crown on your root canal. I wish Dr Gamen and/​or his staff would have told me this — would have saved me a lot more money. In addition, his receptionist gave wrong information to the pharmacist and I wasn’t able to get pain medication I needed until 4 days after! Myself and the pharmacy tried calling their office and apparently Dr Gamen was on vacation, and the receptionist was only in the office for a few hours mid-​day. There was no mention of this on the outgoing message so I didn’t know that I should have called back the next day during a certain timeframe. Two days later she calls the pharmacy back with incorrect information which confused them, so they called Dr Gamen’s office back, didn’t know that the receptionist would only be at her desk during certain hours (again, nothing mentioned in the outgoing message), and it took another two days until I was able to get that fixed and get my pain medication. I’m thoroughly disappointed with this office! While Dr Gamen was nice, he didn’t properly explain any followup needed with my root canal. Not to mention the ineffective receptionist. I would NEVER refer anyone to this office. I’m not saying this is going to be the experience everyone gets, but the fact that it happened to even one person in the first place is horrible. After giving so much of my money to this office, I am happy to take my business somewhere else.

I love love love this place. It’s a small simple office with the most beautiful view of Portland. If you’re going to have dental work, at least have a beautiful view to look at and wonderful people to talk to.
Dr. Gaman is very gentle, talented, honest and fair. He fixed a chip in my tooth, and when it didn’t take, he did it again for free. This one took! And my husband had yellow teeth for years. We just assumed they were stained from his younger years as a smoker. Several other dentists tried to sell him whitening services after they gave him a «cleaning». Dr. Gaman just scraped the yellow right off. That’s right. Just scraped it off. My husband had instant pearly whites!
I have more amazing stories about these guys, and how they care way more about our happiness than profits, but I have to stop somewhere. Go find out for yourself!
