I was very nervous about my first threading experience because I have very dark eyebrows that are not very forgiving when it comes to trying to keep their shape. I researched reviews on Unilocal and found Gigi. I am so grateful! She is a master. She is very warm and kind and took he time to explain what she was going to do and made sure she knew what I wanted. She was so quick and so skilled with her threading I went ahead and let her do my upper lip too. I left feeling amazing. I’m so bummed I had to move away from Portland or I would keep going back to her!

I’ve been coming to Gigi’s for over a year now and couldn’t be happier… she has patiently helped my eyebrows grow thicker while beautifully maintaining them along the way. She is quick, personable and fairly priced. Highly recommended!

Was recommended this place by my sister. Gigi is very nice and does a fantastic job. She really has an eye for people’s eyebrows and tries to make sure that they look as similar as possible. I’ve found that she tries to accommodate to as many people as possible by being very efficient with her time and getting straight to business. Because of her efficiency, she typically makes room to squeeze people in and I’ve almost always been able to get the time I want. Since she is so busy though, I’d recommend walking in or calling to make an appointment because she doesn’t seem like she takes walk-​ins too often. My sister and I are always happy with our brows and service. We recommend her to anyone who likes to get their brows threaded.

Gigi is accommodating, relaxed and professional. It was my first day– I could not be happier with how my eyebrows turned out. I would recommend her to anyone. My eyebrows have never looked so good.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with threading. I was anticipating trying it out so I grew out all the little hairs on my face that I usually pluck and wax (there are many!) including brows, upper lip, and chin. Today I realized it had become out of control and I had to do something at once. I saw Gigi on Unilocal and gave her a call and she kindly squeezed me in right away before her day was over.
I was expecting a long painful slow plucking sort of process but I was gladly mistaken. It was a quick few swipes of her thread in each area. I could feel the little hairs flying around and some slight pinching from the hair being pulled out but in my opinion it’s less painful than waxing. My eyes even watered a little from the threading but they were definitely tears of happiness after seeing how perfecting even and rad my brows came out. My face felt smoother and my complexion even looked better.
Gigi has a wonderful personality and was very professional. I felt relaxed and in good hands the whole time. I even love the little charming work space.
I’m disappointed I didn’t try this sooner and I’m excited to go back and do it again!

Gigi is wonderful and cares for her clients with the utmost respect. Due to my increased skin sensitivity, I was in search for facial hair removal without the usage of chemicals — based on recommendations of my personal friends, I sought Gigi’s care.
She’s very flexible, warm, and inviting. She made me feel comfortable and she was very accepting of my skin condition. My brows haven’t looked this good in ages and I definitely trust her with shaping my brows to my facial structure.
Gigi is a one woman show — managing her own books, schedule, and location. This may not be a spa-​like location, but at her costs and her care — she has far exceeded my expectations for what I’m looking for. She gets the job done.

Gigi threaded my brows last year and did a beautiful job and I completely forgot to leave her a review until now, right after leaving a review for my other eyebrow experience in Portland 6 weeks ago.
I would give her a full 5 stars but I didn’t like the fact that she started threading other areas of my face, like my lip and upper cheek area, and when I lightly protested, she proceeded anyway. My advice, just be firm with your wishes and you’ll walk away happy.

Gigi knows how to do eyebrows better than anyone I’ve ever been to. She is extremely professional yet very personable. Every time after getting my brows, lip and chin done I feel like a new woman. She knows how to shape brows to fit your face perfectly. So happy I found her.

This woman is solid as far as talent goes. Her work is strong. Her prices are higher than the other 2 places in the metro area I’ve been to (Silk & Stone, Tara Lee), I suspect that is due to her NW location, and she requires cash only. For some reason that makes me a little uncomfortable, although as I learn more about small businesses, I can appreciate why cash payments are preferred, but for someone who doesn’t carry much cash it’s a hassle. Also it’s a pain to get on her schedule. Typically requires a week or more in advance and then she’ll ask me during my appt to schedule my next appointment. I don’t like that, but I’m sure there are people for whom that works great. She can’t handle walk-​ins, which makes sense because she’s a one-​person business, but for those of us coming from bigger cities used to being able to walk-​in for threading appts, it’s important to know.

Gigi did a wonderful job. I just moved to Portland from the Los Angeles area, and needed to find a solid place to get my brows maintained. I live right up the street from Gigi’s salon. It’s upstairs in the cutest building. So much charm. It’s warm and inviting, just like Gigi. I felt comfortable right away, like I had known her for years. She did an amazing job, and finished with wonderful smelling rose water. Im surely a regular now!

Gigi did an absolutely phenomenal job on my eyebrows. After being less than satisfied with my last eyebrow threading, I was cautious when looking for someone new. Gigi definitely lived up to all the 5 star reviews and I can’t wait to go back!

Gigi has done a better job than other places I’ve been to in PDX, but the last time I went to see her my eyebrows were uneven. I’ve got huge Persian brows and so they really need tender care. Also (and perhaps most importantly since Gigi usually does a nice job) she asks too many personal questions (i.e. why I’m not having another baby).
When I get my eyebrows done, I don’t want anyone asking me sensitive questions. I realize she may be bored doing eyebrows all day, perhaps she should put on talk radio or stick to simple, non-​invasive questions.

Gigi is the best threader I’ve ever gone to. She’s flexible in her hours, very personable, and makes you feel very comfortable and welcome. I’ve now gotten 3 gfs to go to her. She’s amazing!

Gigi is awesome. Very talented at what she does, patient and kind. She’s well educated, too. Has several degrees on her wall!
I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to any type of hair removal, but she deals well with my whimpering. My skin breaks out a little from the threading, but nowhere close to as bad as waxing. I just have ultra sensitive skin. It’s worth it, I promise. I’d rather have a few bumps than a freaking girlstache!
I don’t love the lack of privacy from the room to the waiting area, but I’m still keeping this at 5 stars because I wouldn’t go to anyone else if given the choice. Also, Gigi is very flexible with making appointments, which is a huge plus for me. Don’t forget it’s cash only. I have no problem with that at all… just making sure you know.

Gigi is great.
Her work space and waiting area is clean, decorative, peaceful and helps you feel at ease. The moment I walked in, she greeted me by name with a very pleasant tone as she was finishing up with another client. Very skilled at conversation while simultaneously perfecting your brows. She makes them even and uses rose water afterward to prevent breakouts. (And I haven’t had one yet, unlike other occasions with different threaders.) Gigi is sweet and I’ve booked my second appointment next month. She also texts, so if you have any concerns or questions, she is easily reachable.

I’m new to the area and searched Unilocal for eyebrow threading. All the reviews were spot on! One person in chair and one waiting when I arrived. Good sign that she is in demand and good at what she does.
She made sure that I was happy with my brows before I walked out the door. She is located in a small room on 2^nd floor right on 23^rd. Not a fancy place but that will not stop from booking again. So happy I found her. Once you start threading there is no going back to wax! By appt only.

I live down in Bend OR (3 hours away from Portland) and I drive over Mt. Hood just to see Gigi and let her maintain my brows and other facial hair. Before I found Gigi I went to a few other places and loved the idea of threading but they never did a WONDERFUL job, and they were a bit more painful. The pain level is pretty low with Gigi (don’t get me wrong it isn’t like relaxing on a beach with cocktail in your hand, but it is definitely better than stepping on a Lego), and she is extremely quick and makes sure that you are 100% happy before she sends you on your way. I tend to give her short notice of when I will be coming up to Portland and she always fits me in. If you are new to threading I suggest you give her a call because you will never wax or tweeze your eyebrows and facial hair again!

I moved to Portland a couple months ago from Los Angeles. In LA, it seems like the threading places are at every corner, like The Coffee Bean. There is a large selection of places to go. Well, after moving I quickly realized threading was not as common up here in P-​Town. I tried out one place in Beaverton (will not say the name) lol, and it was TERRIBLE. The poor lady ruined my brows, so I Unilocaled «eyebrow threading» and Gigi’s came up. After reading the reviews I made and appointment for this past Saturday. Gigi hooked me up! She knows what she’s doing, she was able to fix my brows to shape my face. They are not too thin, not too thick and most of all… they look natural. Very happy I found Gigi!

So she was scoping what Unilocalers had to say about threading and couldn’t be more pleased to have found Gigi! I also scored a half-​off Google offer the very next day, so double score!
I was getting totally wookie up above these precious peepers, and having never handed off the shaping of my brows to someone else, I was afraid of chola brows.
But nay, I look gooood. It hurts — it’s like tweezing on steroids as Gigi said — but my sensitive skin needs the all natural approach. $ 20 plus some tips is a bit more than I want to invest, but I think it’ll be worth it in the end!
Plus it won’t be so bad when I go back in three weeks — I won’t have reached wookie stage.
