Miss Knockout

Kalina was AMAZING! Went in for a pair of lash extensions recommended by my sister in law. Was kind of nervous since I did have some bad lash experience in the past but Kalina fixed all that. She did my lashes beautifully! I would recommend her!!! Can’t wait for my fill! :)

I had an allergic reaction to my lashes and/​or glue. The doctor at Urgent Care said there was an excessive amount of glue on my lash line. I have been calling and texting nonstop looking for help and have yet to receive a call back.

I’ve been going to Miss Knockout for about 2 years; here’s my comments:
I used to go to another top-​tier lash extension place, but after six months, I developed an allergy to the adhesive. I’m not even kidding, the staff at my old salon were like «oh well, nothing we can do, nice knowing you».
Not willing to give up my addiction to having Bridgette Bardot eyelashes 24/​7, I researched until I found a highly rated place that would use a sensitive formula adhesive. I called Miss Knockout and explained my allergy problem with the lash glue. Soon I met the amazingly talented Kalina, who did a few test lashes (free of charge!); and it worked – no more sneezing or stuffy nose. Now I have long, fluffy lashes again, and actually the cost is about 20% lower than where I used to go!
Other things I love about Miss K include the lovely atmosphere. The waiting area is plush, and the bathroom is like a mini-​spa. And their staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for my scheduled appt either.
I can’t think of too many cons, aside from parking can be hard to find, and there’s no great pubtrans options. So take my advice, and give yourself plenty of time to get there. They will still see you if you’re late, but only until your scheduled appt. end time. Oh, and book in advance because they fill up fast!
I’m also pleased to say that more than a few «beauty professionals» have commented on my gorgeous but natural looking eyelashes. I’ve even referred a few of them!

I’m giving this 5 star review to Mikaela at missknockout. I meant to do this weeks ago! My appts were mixed up and she saved the day. She’s not only professional and bubbly but she brings a sense of joy when you walk in to missknockout. Kimmie you’re very lucky to have her on your team and you know I’ve been a fan since you started! I also want to add how amazing Kalina has been and how she is a blessing as well! Two of my favs and I will continue to be a client as long as I can and especially with gals like Kalina and Mikaela!

I’ve been having the lovely Kimmie do my lashes for over a year now. When I first came in, I was a lash extension sceptic. However, I was about to get married and was going to do my own makeup, so I thought, «Well, just for this occasion.» My worry was they would be fake looking or hard to maintain. No and no! Kimmie did a fantastic job enhancing my Asian monolid eyes in a natural looking way. I got hooked, since it was so nice to cut curling and mascara out of my routine. It saves me time and I feel made up and awake-​looking even if I don’t do my makeup. Kimmie is super friendly and sweet, as are the other ladies who work here. Try it, I think you will be pleased!

After I moved to Portland from Honolulu I had a hard time finding another lash specialist. It took me awhile before I found kimmie! She is awesome. What I love the most is that the customer service was above and beyond. They really catered to my needs and were very understanding of how particular I wanted my lashes because of how long I was going to my previous lash stylist. They fully accommodated me and I truly appreciate it! Not only is the customer service excellent, they definitely know how to execute beautiful lash extensions! There are so many places that are not legit and don’t have their techniques down– but miss knockout knows what they’re doing. I have been to both kimmie and kalina and they are fantastic.

I really wanted to like this place. I had an eyelash tint and perm there a few months ago that was good so I booked a facial. For the rest of the day following the facial, I kept discovering crusty leftover cleanser and masque that she overlooked.
I still wanted to give them another chance.
I booked another eyelash tint. I was running late, so I called to say I was on my way. They made no mention that the gal was also running late, so after I rushed to park and get in the door, I had to wait 25 minutes. After the first 20 minutes I inquired whether I was misstaken about my appointment time and the nice girl at the desk replied that yes, I had the correct time, but made no attempt to apologize or see if I needed to reschedule.
I also had asked if my daughters could come and wait during my appointment if they were well-​behaved and watched a movie. There was a misunderstanding there, because I assumed they had WiFi that I could use to stream Netflix, but their network was unable to handle video.
Annoying. Sorry Miss Knockout. I won’t be coming back.

From the moment I walked in everyone was so sweet and helpful. The place was cute and clean, all around a good vibe! I didn’t want to have to hassle with mascara anymore so I decided to get lash extensions and boy am I glad I did! Mikaela is AMAZING and knows what she is doing! She did a fantastic job! She really made sure what I wanted and talked with me about the different options and looks. She put a full set of Ultra Thick Silk Lash Extensions on me, shaped and put a tint on my eyebrows and lower lashes. It looks so natural!!! I love that I can wake up and have beautiful full lashes without having to do a single thing :) It’s definitely worth every cent! I highly recommend!

I just finished my very first appointment with Kimmie! She is so sweet and really knows what she’s doing. I got maintenance on my lashes that I had gotten done out of town. She was wonderful at helping me pick a lash that would go with my existing lashes. She also did a shape and tint on my brows and they look fantastic! The waiting area is so cute and the receptionist is super sweet as well! Overall highly recommend!

I am updating my review since the owner called me to talk to me– i was busy with my wedding so i couldnt talk to him, but i appreciate the fact that he cared.
Secondly, although i wasnt satisfied for the fact that the lashes were not superb as the price suggested (as i said i have gotten better lashes for half the price), the glue that they were using were better than most places — thus the lashes have lasted good three weeks.
Hence i bumped up stars. I might go in again and try out one more time — and if i get similar/​better result i will update

I’ve been getting my lashes done for the last four years. I just recently moved to the Portland area and needed to find a new place to get them filled. This place offers a lot of different lashes that other places don’t and for that I was grateful. I stuck with the mink kind and opted for a thicker lash. I was way impressed with how they turned out! Although they might be a little more pricier than other places I was comparing them to, I can say they offer great care to their clients. They ask that you send them pictures of your lashes if you have gotten them done elsewhere, and that you give them a card to charge if you cancel short of their 24 hour notice window. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend Mikaela who did my lash fill and will be coming back!

I was referred to Miss Knockout by a friend and co-​worker. I have light lashes and even lighter eye brows so I had the total eye makeover with top and bottom lashes, brow wax and tint, and under eye treatment. It was fantastic and a great birthday present for myself! My before and after pictures show the difference (I’m the blond with the chest tattoo.)
It’s been about a week and a half since my appointment, I’ve had a few lashes shed, but my lashes still look full and super long. I’m so glad I was referred to Miss Knockout! I have received tons of compliments about my eyes!
ProTip: If you don’t wear a ton of eye make up, like me, this is a great investment. I wake up looking put together and don’t have to bother with an eye lash curler (modern day torture) or mascara (let’s be honest, that stuff either runs down your face or needs to be removed with paint thinner.) Highly recommended and totally worth it!

I was referred here by a friend because I have sensitive skin/​eyes and had tried every mascara possible and my eyes would just water and it would clump or come off.
Jenny put a full set of natural silk lashes on and I don’t think I could love them any more than I do. She did an amazing job. Everyone asks me if my lashes are real because they look so natural. I love how they make my eyes pop without looking super fake or like I caked on mascara.
I love miss knock out because everyone there is super friendly and helpful. :)

I came here this past summer to get a set of the Doll Bundle lashes and absolutely loved them! Today I went in to get an eyebrow tint done with Kimmie and I’ve never had that done before so I told her that I wasn’t sure how dark to go and she suggested we do a middle of the road level of color and it turned out FANTASTIC! I will definitely keep getting this service done by Kimmie. Super happy with the results and the front desk girl is super friendly and courteous. Love this place!

The service and products is 5 star… i went for 2÷14÷15 to ger dolled up with dolled bundles and my novio noticed and love them

Just got the lash lift & tint yesterday. I felt like Kalina wasn’t professional at all. She came out and called for Jessica… My name is Jennifer but that didn’t bother me much. It was my first time and I didn’t know how things worked; I wasn’t informed on how the process works at all other than the perm will stink and there’s no aftercare. I would have been a lot more comfortable if she talked me through the whole process and acted like she cared a bit. She missed my inner corner lashes and was kind enough to go back and perm them, but didn’t do a good job. Then we got up and she left the room without telling me to follow her out so I was confused as to what to do (VERY unprofessional).
My lashes are curled but they aren’t separated and I felt like if I went to Midori’s lashes, I would have gotten my money’s worth ($ 35 for just the perm & no tint, what I originally wanted). There is literally no difference before and after the lash tint, but she did get a lot of dye on my eyelids… This place is known for eyelash extensions but definitely do not come here for a lash lift/​tint.

I’ve been a fan and client of Miss Knockout for three years, and my appointment is a real highlight because of how I feel when I leave. Kimmie is a master organizer, owner and technician and she attends to every detail, in the salon and in her technique. Her primary goal is customer service and she never fails in this area. When you walk in you are greeted by the manager of the salon, Nicole, who is adorable and helpful. There is champagne, tea, coffee, cookies, and other goodies to make you feel at home. The appointments run exactly on time (something I appreciate) and my eyelashes look beautiful when I leave. Kimmie knows her craft and my lashes always last weeks after I have had a fill. I so appreciate finding this business and will be a fan for years to come. This review is long overdue, but the sentiment is no less.

On a whim I decided to try out lash extensions for the first time and was blown away by the results! Jenny was my lash technician and she was very helpful explaining the different types and styles that would go with my face shape as well as a good after care routine. I felt relaxed and comfortable thought the whole application. Highly recommend for your next big event or just to feel a little more beautiful.
