OK so I understand busy. But an hour and a half for the wrong order I just don’t get the service has gone way down they tried to bribe me with free food when I told john the«co owner» that I was going to write this review, how unethical can you get! that was on valentines day Feb 142012 so we went back on the 18th i mean hey everybody gets one mistake We met our party at the booth sat down and waited 30 minutes to order i had a tamale a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco combo my wife’s Friend had the crab enchiladas her boyfriend had an asada burrito my wife had the same an hour later the food arrived cold except mine i had to wait another half hour for cold food and the wrong order i got beef enchiladas and a beef taco and a Chile relleno not what i had ordered i returned it my wife found a hair in her asada burrito when I told the«manager» Alfonso there was a hair in my wife’s food he told me to «get the fuck out of his restaurant» and as far as her Friends crab enchiladas the crab had gone bad two days later she stopped puking out of both ends. I nor my family will not be back the reasons we will not be back are as follows 1. I’m not paying 8.99 for hair in my food 2.there business practice is unethical(the bribing me with free food) 3.they don’t know the difference between a Chile relleno and a tamale!!! 4. they tried to blame the waitress for everything she was the only one who did her job So if you want to be over charged for a hairy burrito and wait an hour and a half for under cooked cold food then Go to El pueblo

The food is excellent. The steak fajitas are fantastic. I always have to ask for additional tortillas. The bar drinks are all excellent, as is the service. I too would give this 100 stars if I could.

Came here for lunch, this is a very large sit-down joint and we were the only ones there, which was a bit disconcerting. However, lunch was decent and the service was very friendly. They have a lunch special of $ 6 for a combo plate with rice and beans, the food was average Mexican fare, nothing to rave about but not bad either. Chips and salsa as well as a small dessert are included free of charge, so you won’t be leaving hungry! The place is pretty nicely decorated inside, however I still think it is a bad sign when four times as many people are across the street at Don Pedro no. 1, a joint that leaves something to be desired in my opinion.

This place just opened up, but I believe the previous establishment was also a mexican restaurant, therefore these guys must succeed where others have failed(a difficult task) and find that magical balance between amazing food and service at a reasonable price to earn and keep customers(an even tougher task!). Oh, and if that’s not hard enough, there are literally 6 other mexican restaurants in a 2 block radius of the Stark/Burnside intersection, so competition is seriously cutthroat! I had the #15 burrito lunch special as it was recommended to me as the most satisfying dish on the menu. For $ 5.95 with beans & rice, not a bad deal. But when you think«big burrito», visions of Cha Cha Cha-esque HUGE burritos stuffed with rice, beans, onions, guac, etc. come to mind, right? This is NOT one of hose burritos! Although it was STUFFED with virtually all shredded beef(good quality, mind you), it was JUST shredded beef! and the most disappointing part was the tortilla got majorly wet/soggy after being topped in the enchilada sauce. Everything else was ok up to that point. Service is great, lunch prices are fair(and $ 0.99 margaritas Sun/Mon night from 9pm-close are an amazing deal), and if they can work on the quality of their food, they’ll be legit in my book. I’ll try this place in a couple weeks and hope it’s better, but for now, I can’t make a solid recommendation :-( Maybe other dishes are better… or I just got unlucky?
