As far as customer service goes, the people I dealt with have all been nice. However, the execution of the actual move has been one problem after another. Furniture broken, toys broken, electronics broken, and to top it off they put all the parts to assemble our furniture together in one box and lost the box! We were sleeping on the floor for a month, and have not had a couch for two months and running. What a headache.

I would give fewer stars if that was an opiton.
Mid-​July I started looking for an interstate mover. Their phone rep «Larry» called me back to say that an out of state move would not be a problem. I gave him my dates and and Larry told me their surveyor would get back to me within the week. All went according to plan.
It is a slightly complex move (moving from storage and a condo in Portland to storage and a house out of state) but once the surveyor came out (about 10 days after original phone call) it seemed again as if all was well. After two days the surveyor called me back to give me an estimate solely on how much stuff was being moved, and to confirm my dates. Again, he stated that my mid-​August move would not be a problem.
After all the calculations were made, I just waited for Larry to call me and send out a contract with the particulars.
Instead, Larry used his surveyor as the messenger to tell me that «as a matter of fact, this move doesn’t work with the schedule.» No alternate dates were given, no adequate explanation followed. Just ‘they can’t do the move.‘
The owner, or manager, or whoever Larry is, did not even have the courtesy or honesty to call me himself and explain the reasoning for wasting two weeks of my time.

Absolutely friggin’ incredible. I have never seen anything like this. In the span of six hours, two men completely PACKED and MOVED a two-​bedroom apartment, including a garage full of shit. They made custom boxes for the mattresses and two flat-​screen TVs, and literally packed everything for us. Whatever this place costs, WORTH IT. These guys literally did not take a break the entire time, not even to piss. I am actually inspired by them as human beings. They whistled and had the best attitudes and just freakin’ went for it. I honestly could watch a TV channel that was just a live stream of these guys at work every day. Seriously. It was fascinating to watch people whistle while swiftly packing up an entire apartment, a process that takes me literally weeks and makes me want to curl into the fetal position and die. And then they carried boxes and furniture down stairs as if it were made of marshmallow fluff. These guys put Olympic bodybuilders to shame, because once they pick up heavy shit, they actually do something with it instead of just dropping it back down on the ground. At one point I wanted to help, but got out of breath just thinking about it.
Granted, the last time I had help moving it was from a couple crack addicts I found off Craigslist, and it was probably the worst consumer experience of my life, so my expectations were extremely low, but these guys are my heroes. I’m serious.
How can a dude who is strong enough to carry an entire dresser down two flights of stairs on his back also be gentle enough to wrap and pack champagne flutes without crushing them?
Seriously. These guys. AMAZING. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing.

Art, Mark & Toby were the crew that came out. They are Pro’s. Courteous and extremely thorough. All the boxes were labeled with detail, not just the name of the room. We’ve moved a few times with different services in the last few years and this service was by far the best. I would highly recommend them.

I’m not sure if the gentleman I worked with today from this company (Nate) was from the Portland area or from one of their nine other locations across the United States, but I was seriously impressed. I’m a property manager and have seen probably about all the ways that people and things can be moved into our building. Today, Alexander’s Mobility Service’s truck showed up at the same time as another moving company’s truck did. This could have been a recipe for disaster, but instead everybody took it step by step and stayed cool and friendly. Nate and the gentlemen from the other moving company had a conference and found a way to work together that was perfect for everybody, professional from start to end, and our two new residents were quite happy as well. I heartily recommend this company because they sure did a wonderful job working with all of us here.
