We as a family, son, daughter and who ever we can tell have been using Priestly and Sons since the early 1970’s. They have moved us to the beach and back and across town a couple of times. I use them when I need in house moving such as the exercise bike up and down the stairs. They have stored and moved our piano a couple of times as well as a pool table that has a 3 piece slate top. I cannot say enough good things about this company, we have never had damage, they have always been prompt in arriving and the movers are efficient and very careful. Every mover has been polite and most of all I have never felt as though they were «casing the place» they do their job and keep things moving. We have all felt the pricing was reasonable, in fact I have never researched of compared pricing because of the quality of services Priestly has provided they are worth every cent.

Priestley ROCKS!!! Your guys are over the top great to work with. After having our belongings in storage with you all for over 2 years (we didn’t intend to!!) — everything was delivered today and everything was in perfect condition. Really, really, REALLY pleased with the service.

We have had quite a few entire household moves and have never had such a good experience as we did with Priestley and Sons. We are quite particular about the care of our belongings and are usually frustrated by the rough handing seen with many movers. This was the first time we have been completely at ease during a move. Tony, Dylan, and Phillip were quiet, professional, extremely efficient and very skilled at packaging and handling our treasured belongings.
The scheduling is very easy and, to get even better, the price was very reasonable. We were in very good hands with this company and look forward to using their services again soon.

We recently used Priestley & Sons to move from South Concordia to Kenton. The moving guys were efficient, friendly, and careful. There was one small area of damage to a desk, which they quickly reported, and for which we received an instant reduction in the price of the move. I was very happy with my moving experience. They completed the move (three bedroom house) in three hours (an hour less than they predicted). I recommend their services.

Grady and Robert did a fantastic job this past weekend moving my things to two separate places. We encountered some rude people along the way. They took it all in stride. I will be using these guys again in the future.

Having moved 7 times over the last 40 years, across the entire US, I have never experienced a level of service and professionalism as I had with everyone at Priestly and Sons. My move included 30 days of storage and everything arrived in perfect condition, moved into my new home with the greatest of care without even a bump or scratch. Now retired, I hope I’m done moving however should I ever require moving or storage services, I’ll never have to search for one… Good job Priestly and Sons

Priestley and Sons moved our household 70 miles. All parts of the process went smoothly, tho the risk was a bit more than I thought, e.g. they only pay 60 cents per pound if the articles are damaged unless you purchase more insurance. Based on their reputation, I did not buy the insurance and all the items arrived undamaged including an expensive dining table. Friendly people who worked with me to reduce the overall cost where it was possible.

We had the absolute most positive, seamless, professional experience with Priestley and Sons. They were courteous, kind, hard working and efficient. They actually came in under budget and under time too. These guys have integrity, it was such a pleasure to work with them all. I would recommend them over and over!

Repeat Customer … which in moving, is kind of odd, since one HOPES not to move very often. We used Priestly in 2008 with great success to move back in to our home after a remodel — the company that moved us out broke a branch off a big house plant and didn’t even say anything — accidents are accidents but not ‘fessing up is unprofessional for sure — so needless to say, we didn’t have them again. P &S guys were fantastic and actually had to move us TWICE during the move, due to one of Portland’s notorious ice storms, and we were stuck in it somewhere else so they handled the temp storage and re-​move perfectly, and without our involvement except by frantic phone calls.
Then last week we needed an antique desk moved to a university and of course we called P&S — they had to deal with the desk twice (things are never simple) due to institution logistics, and the team was prompt, friendly, efficient and we’d use them AGAIN if we needed them. As customers we especially like knowing that staff sticks around — in the office, on the teams, etc. That makes us feel like P&S doesn’t just treat clients right, they treat the employees well too. THANK YOU.

So far so good. Chris did an estimate on my daughter’s move 5 blocks away. He was on time, courteous, and seems to know the business.

My friend recommended Priestley & Sons. Chris came out to give me a bid and I talked to Teresa on the phone a couple times. From the first contact, this company was friendly, helpful and professional. The day of the move went smoothly. Aaron and his crew were professional, careful, friendly and didn’t stop moving (no pun intended). They were done in less time then estimated and the final bill reflected that.
I will be moving again in the near future and I won’t have to search around for movers. Priestley & Sons have my business from now on.

Well I went with these fellas a third time and Hooray for Preistly and Sons. They sent a couple of strong, good natured, hard workers my way to move me the day before Thanksgiving (Jason and… arg! I am so bad with names). The move took a lot longer than my previous two, but the movers also had to work around a flooring crew. Much appreciated, but I will say that if Priestly and Sons really did implement a post move survey that I didn’t receive it this time around.

I called about a move to California, they only do Oregon/​Washington, but without me even asking the gentleman gave me a name, phone number and contact name for a company that could help. I thought that was great!

I couldn’t be happier with the services from Priestley and Sons. I used them to move from my condo to my home. They were efficient, polite, respectful, and took excellent care of my belongings. They were able to negotiate large pieces of furniture up a very tight staircase. I will definitely use them again.

A coworker of my wife’s recommended this company, and I’m glad she did. They were courteous, friendly, and professional — and did a lot of hard work, considering we were downsizing from a townhouse to a 2-​BR apartment.
Marty and John showed up exactly on time, and immediately got to work after a quick tour. We almost felt guilty having them do all the hard work, but then again, that’s why we hired pros! It took about four hours to load the truck, and they accommodated our special request (moving a refrigerator we didn’t need to my parents’ house) without hesitation, even moving their old one out of the house and into the garage, and hooking up the new one. Then it was on to the new apartment, where they consulted with us about where we wanted everything, and then proceeded to haul all our stuff up three flights of stairs without once complaining. They even set up the beds without being asked. We bought them pizza, and the fifteen minutes they spent eating were taken off the overall bill.
I highly recommend these guys for your next move. We were quoted a rate of $ 117 an hour with a 5-​hour minimum, a price I feel is fair — especially given those three flights of stairs I mentioned. Altogether, it took almost nine hours with the detour, and that was money well spent.

Priestley and Sons moved my Mother at Holiday Park Plaza. After a communication problem regarding timing and date of service, Priestley and Sons went out of their way to accommodate us and get her moved. They worked so hard and went the extra mile to ensure her move. Ben and Don came with a smile and were so efficient, friendly, and careful with her belongings. They took care of my 86 year old mother who was packed and living in boxes, and not happy about moving, and they solved the problem and moved her with a smile. I think they are a fantastic business with high integrity

Priestley just completed my fifth move; I’ve worked with them for both home and business moves for 12 years and would highly recommend them. Their rates are reasonable and service excellent.

These guys were excellent. We made a local move yesterday in NE Portland. We had never used movers before. I asked around my real estate office who was good and proceeded to call around.
When we called weeks ago for a quote, they had someone come by to give us an estimate immediately. We were able to book a Saturday for our move which was convenient. They were friendly, quick, and came in under our bid by $ 200 or so. I will recommend them to my clients and friends.

I was looking into companies to hire to help with my move from a 1 bedroom apartment into a newly purchased condo/​townhome. I had researched a handful of companies, and was getting ready to settle on one in particular when I came across this company being reviewed on Unilocal.I scrolled down to read the different comments, and lo and behold, one of my friends had used them back in May. She left a glowing review, so I decided to call them. Man, am I glad I did.
First, their customer service representative on the phone was great to deal with, and I was impressed with their charge structure. So many other companies charge for driving time to and from your place, and many charge for a flight of stairs. Priestley & Sons charged for neither.
Second, I knew I was going to like them when they were right on time for my move. The two men pulled up in a big red moving truck, which was incredibly clean. Scott and Tony were the guys who then got out and made the magic happen. They were incredibly nice, efficient, and professional, and had the entire move done in less than 2 hours. Nothing broken, everything wrapped and carefully stored on their truck, and delivered with no worrying on my part (I wanted only my furniture moved, my friends and I took care of all my boxes and loose items).
There was only a 1 hour minimum move requirement, whereas most companies had a 2, 3, or 4 hour minimum. My final bill was only prorated for the last 45 minutes, so I decided to leave a larger than usual tip as I was really impressed with the move.
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great experience from start to finish.
