Established in 2004.

Mr. S T Wyndham, the owner of Active Mold Control, has been an environmental professional since 1980. He has held responsible ownership, technical and managerial positions for organizations performing the majority of types of environmental investigation, cleanup and response tasks since that time.

When residential mold became a recognized problem here in the US, he formed a division of his main firm, transpacific LLC, to concentrate on mold inspections and cleanups. The name of that company is Active Mold Control, or AMC.

Two years ago, his son Colton Wyndham joined him in ownership and operation of the company.

I was advised to get a mold inspection on a house I’m purchasing based on some old water damage found in the attic. Since we were already aware of a possible issue, Active Mold Control offered to do the inspection for free. The mold tests came back negative and they did not suggest remediation. They were professional, punctual, and honest and I would be happy to call them again if I suspected an issue.

Called Active Mold for a potential mold issue that a drainage contractor alerted us to in our crawl space. We had some black mold growth on some support beams down in our crawl space and I wanted to have Active Mold come take a look and remediate if needed. I spoke to Spencer the owner, who after listening to my issue, seemed to think it was just a minor issue (lumber yard mold) which didn’t require professional remediation. I emailed him a couple pictures and he confirmed it for me free of charge! Very professional and really seemed to care about my issue and saving me the money of a professional cleanup when it wasn’t required. I will certainly use AMC for any mold issues in the future!

Jesse and Theodore came to our home today to advise on whether we needed to add some additional venting due to mold that was discovered when we purchased our home and had a home inspection conducted. They had already completed the mold mitigation and treatment before we moved in, and we invited them to return to discuss whether or not we should install additional ventilation. Jesse indicated we do not need anything additional, and was helpful in guiding us in upcoming remodeling work that is planned for the master bath which has an outdated combination fan/​light fixture over the shower. We now will know what to have installed to ensure we don’t have any recurrence of mold.

We had some concerns about Mold growing due to some leaks we had discovered. Active mold came out quickly to assess if we had mold problems that needed to be taken care of.. After checking things over, we gratefully learned that mold was not present and we didn’t need any treatment. I asked how much we owed for the inspection and was told we owed nothing! I so appreciated the professionalism and friendly, helpful service and would recommend this company to my family and friends!

We just bought a 1951 home and while painting found some mold. Obviously this is very concerning and I did not want to move in with a 2 year old and the possibility of black mold. I called and spoke with who I believe was the owner. Instead of just booking an appt with me, which he could easily have done with a fearful parent, instead asked me pertinent questions re the mold area, etc. After speaking with him I was able to do more research on the mold area and found that it was small and safe to care for on my own (EPA website validates the same info). This gentleman saved me the cost of having a professional assessment. He told me I could call back with any questions. I didn’t need his services and hope I don’t in the future but if I do, I will absolutely use this business!
