Gleaming The View

Excellent service, excellent job. Our roof hasn’t been this clean for years and is finally getting the right treatment to keep the moss away. Also had exterior windows cleaned. Everything sparkles!

So this is the second time I’ve used Gleaming the View. The first time was in 2014 and they cleaned our gutters and treated the moss on our roof. They did an OK job on the gutters and roof, but left a mess behind from all the debris. It cost about $ 300.
This year I found a deal/​promotion on a recommendation website for $ 149 for gutter cleaning so I bought the deal.
The person doing the scheduling was a little pushy at first. The terms and conditions said I could buy the service and book for a future date (within a year) but I almost immediately received an email that they had selected the date. I declined and said I would get back to them. But that wasn’t a big deal.
I scheduled for Tuesday (⁵⁄₁₂) so I could ensure that my husband was home and we didn’t have other things going on. But on Monday (⁵⁄₁₁) I was in the living room, knock on my door, and it’s the guy who’s going to clean my gutters. He was a shoe day early! No one called to let me know.
Fortunately my husband was home for a few minutes and dealt with the guy.
He cleaned the gutters but his clean-​up was horrible. First of all, I know the gutter cleaners drop all the gutter crap on the ground, but it still has to be cleaned up. You can’t just blow that crap in to my bushes, etc. with a leaf blower. He used our tree trimmings bin for bulky stuff he collected in the drive way, which was fine. But when I went out and looked in my newly planted flower boxes, they were no longer filled with pristine potting dirt; there was a ton of gutter crap and needles in the pots! Thanks for nothing, dude!
Now I have to redo the pots and get the crap out of them, which he should have done.
I guess that’s what I get for $ 149.
I would hire them back but I’ll be hiding all my flower pot and supervising the clean-​up more closely.

I do not recommend this company. Their prices are way too high, they don’t stick to their estimate, or keep their appointment to clean windows.
The owner Tim had come out ahead of time to give me a written estimate. I used them for outside only at the estimated price and was very happy. Then lined them up again for inside/​outside at the agreed upon price.
The employee came out to clean as scheduled, but all by himself instead of the 2-​man crew that had been promised. He left saying it was too much for him to do alone, and that the price should be over 60% more than the estimate ($ 580 instead of $ 360), based on the number of windows we had. Why didn’t he say that the first time he cleaned? Why wasn’t the owner’s estimate valid? I had the same number of windows as before.
Instead of being mortified and trying to make it right, they said they could come out a couple weeks later but only for that higher price. I was stuck with piles of screens I had already removed, and dirty windows the day before an important event. Unbelievable! :-(

It’s often said that it’s easier to replace your doctor, attorney or accountant rather than find someone new to cut your hair, clean your house — or clean your windows. So, when my last window-​cleaning service went OOB, I was tasked with finding someone to keep the windows clean and serviceable.
I love writing good reviews. This is one of those times.
I found Gleaming the View two years ago on the recommendation of a friend. They bid a very reasonable price for my two story home, and I’m glad to say I gave them a shot — they overdelivered in every possible way (cleaning the window tracks and the screens as well as the windows.)
This year, I called them again — and again, they came through. Jason did a wonderful job in 95deg. heat (something I wouldn’t’ve done myself).
Gleaming The View is probably the best maintenance-​service on the west side. Need your windows cleaned? Call ‘em. They’ll remember your name next time, too.

We had such a fabulous experience again! Not only did Donovan call and keep me updated about when he planned to arrive to set up our lights, but he also worked hard, at my request, to add lights to our tree out front. Our house and tree gleamed, just like the name! As promised, the lights were taken down today (just a few days after New Year’s). Each time I’ve called, the lady who answers the phone is incredibly warm and friendly, which spreads cheer even though the holidays are done. I can’t recommend Gleaming the View any more highly!

My neighbor was getting their windows cleaning so I asked the guys doing the job if he could do my after hers, he said probably, so I called their office and the lady said she would call me back, I never got a call back, so I called back and was told he would be able to clean my windows that day. I told the lady I was leaving for an hour and to call my cell if he was ready before I got back. When I got home I had a note with a quote at the door, no phone call, I called the lady at the office back she said oh he said he called which he didn’t. So she proceeded to reschedule for 4 days out which I said ok, for Saturday. I get a call on Friday night be I guess the guy who is supposed to be doing the job saying he wanted to spend the day with his child and asking if he could do the job on Sunday, I explained to him that I go to church on Sundays, and that it wouldnt work, he said well ok I can still do it. To be honest at this point I felt the company was unprofessional, and really didnt care or need my business, so I said dont worry about it. The guys then said well I dont want my boss to get mad at me, I said that is between you two. Bottom line is they will not ever get my business and further more they are a local company and I would not recommend them in any conversation.

I am helping my Mom maintain her home and we were looking for someone to clean her roof and clean her windows. Thankfully these folks provide both services. We called and promptly received a very reasonable, in person quote, (compared to the other quotes we received).
They also promptly scheduled Donovan to come out and do the work. He did an excellent job on both tasks, so good in fact I asked him to give me a window cleaning quote as well, which he did and I subsequently had him clean my windows. He did a great job!
I highly recommend these folks and will be calling them again next year for my window cleaning and roof cleaning needs!

They cleaned my roof and gutters and did a moss treatment last year for under $ 250. The moss stayed away for the year but as my neighboor has huge trees he never trims I need the roof cleaned again, they are doing the gutters too and the outside of the windows for under $ 375. They are quick professional and on time. I’m very happy with the service.
