Love this place! The happy hour is the best deal. I come here often with one of my girlfriends. Everytime we come it’s usually during the day around 4. Today when we went we had an older lady bartender. She was kind of extremely rude. She didn’t give us the happy hour menu and took a while for us to even get drinks or be acknowledged. The bar was not packed at all and we would have totally understood if she was busy because we both work in the service industry. I feel like it’s your job to smile and be polite when you have these guests at your bar and she was just nasty. It seemed like she thought because we were young that we wouldn’t tip her which is totally not the case. Later on around 7 or 8 two young guy bartenders came in and we’ve had them before they are very helpful and nice. Just thought you might want to know this info so you can hire more friendly female staff for the day time. If it was my first time to this bar I would definitely not be back! No employee should drive customers away because of their poor attitude or lack of personality.

I usually come here during happy hour. The wings can be a hit or miss with quality sometimes but my friends and i are ok with it since its so cheap anyways. The service is good once you’re seated but it’s crappy while you’re waiting. During happy hour, i understand it gets busy but sometimes the waiters will seat people after us before my group or they’ll seat themselves and we have to repeatedly tell the waiters that we were there first.

Horrendous customer service by the bartender yesterday who blantantly disrespected my friend, myself and his guests. I have gone to Billies many times before but after last night I will not be back. The bartender made a mockery of my friend and his legitimate NYSID and when questioned he repeatedly yelled«BYE» «GOODBYE» «LEAVEMYBAR» etc. It was mortifying for my friend and our party. The bartender told us he was refusing service and wouldnt give us an explanation. On the way out, he said«theres 10 other bars in port you can go to, so leave mine.» You got it sir. I will recommend Billies to my friends only if the other 10 bars were closed. Awful.

AVOID! Dirty bar that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned ever. Went to get a drink and was told there was a $ 20 credit card minimum. So the bartender sent my fiancé to the ATM that was inside the bar. He tried to use it twice and it was broken. We told the bartender and she still refused to let us pay for the drinks, that were already poured because of course we were informed about this credit card minimum after we ordered. The bartender told us to go two blocks away to an ATM to get money. So we just left. Horrible customer service in a horrible bar.

The food was fair. The ambiance is a bit dark. Local eats. Loud environment at time I went. I think it was because I went straight after work and was tired. Maybe if I had their specialty I would have liked it more. Drink specials looked very fair.

Billie’s never fails. Best bar in Port. Great beers on tap. Reasonable food. Friendly, local ambience.

Maybe a summer Saturday night is the wrong time to eat here. We had lobster roll and fried shrimp dinners. Both were horrible. The lobster roll tasted canned and tasteless. Fried shrimp was rubbery. Can’t fault the service as it was crazy busy, but I expect edible food and thus was a waste of time.

Billie’s is a great spot for locals and college students alike and definitely one of the more popular bars in Port Jeff. There is always a usual crowd — nothing too crazy goes on here but the atmosphere is still always fun and upbeat. Most people(or at least the ones I know) usually start at Billie’s and then work their way down Main Street as the night goes on. They also have a lot of deals and specials. Great happy hour during the week, wing night on Tuesdays, and on Friday/Saturday nights they have a «shot wheel» that’s spun every 30 minutes. Whatever liquor it lands on is $ 2 shots.(THIS I believe is the reason most people start their night here!) The regular prices for mixed drinks and beer are reasonable and cheaper than other spots in Port Jeff, and the bartenders are always on their A-game. I don’t really eat here so I can’t say much about the food but I have had their mozzarella sticks which are delicious so I would assume everything else is normal bar food quality.

They just got some better beers on tap, but the Bartender’s don’t really have any knowledge about them. I’m definitely not the target audience here, but I’m enjoying my Dogfish Head 60 Minute, and I like the lamps.

The service is very wish washy the food is good like the burgers but everything else from the steak to the apps was generic frozen stuff even. Eww… But all in all great place to grab a brew and stew

Got sick from the dirty tap beers and below appropriate temps… Watch bar rescue! First and last time this past Friday. Descent prices but for crap beer, I’d rather spent more for quality.

How can I start? Such a great environment to have fun. We come here every week. Ashley always takes care of us — the best server in the world. Come on wing night. you won’t regret it The wings are always extra saucy. And we can play danger zone on the jukebox whenever we want!!! Piano man comes on all the time, too. I love you, billies The bouncer is mad cool

Wing night starts at 8… Wait no 8:30, but the clock is fast… Wait you can sit but you can’t order the wings… Actually you can’t sit yet… Wait about 20 minutes and maybe you can pay us money to order wings. What is happening?

This review is only about Happy hour. From 4−8pm daily(not sure about weekends), Billie’s has happy hour. 20 cent wings, $ 3 apps, $ 2 shots, ½ off beers. This has got to be the best and cheapest place for a poor graduate student to go after work. 10 wings and a fairly large app for $ 5. beers for a dollar or two. There is no place better in Port Jeff. The wings are not the best I’ve ever had, but they are the BEST20cent wings I’ve ever had. Definitely worth getting as many as you can eat.

Billie’s is your typical dive bar. Came here once to watch monday night football. Pulled pork sandwich was okay but nothing extraordinary. They have a VERY small selection of beers on tap. Not sure if I’d wanna come back here again. Update 11⁄26 After coming to Billie’s a second time for their wings special I decided to update my review and give compliments to customer service. The waitress that attended to me and my friends was on her game, and the wings and onion rings I ordered were pretty good. Still disappointed by their small beer selection but I would definitely come here to watch some evening sports and for some bar food.

Pub I have to admit, I have walked past this place a thousand times and finally started going in there mostly because we saw a happy hour blackboard on the sidewalk. Since then, the girl and I have been enjoying Billie’s and maybe even a little sad that it took us so long to get in there. Great bartenders treat you like a regular, very good food(try the chili) for a pub and a cool-ass old register sitting behind the bar. Not much to look at — it definitely evokes the old days but the real winner is the cheap happy hour– which you wouldn’t expect in a touristy town, but there it is. The place gets hopping with tons of people in there so be ready for that. Decent prices even when it is not happy hour. Plenty of seats at the bar Whatcha waiting for? Parking on the street or in the muni lots scattered around.

Friend said that this place had great burgers and that was no lie. I grabbed a delicious juicy burger on a tasty english muffin. It hit the spot perfectly. The fries were golden and tasty. Really good food. We also tried the cordon bleu balls. They were as good as they sound. Chicken, ham and swiss in a yummy little ball form with a great dipping sauce. The place itself is a bit dumpy. Old looking, cluttered bar, very small. It’s a place I might like if I lived in the area, but a lot of friends of mine wouldn’t be too pleased. Beer selection was a bit small, but was enough for me. Bartenders were efficient and attentive.
