I went to Popeyes with a friend for lunch today, and every order comes with a side and biscuit. I ordered the butterfly shrimp with a side of mac & cheese and my friend ordered the #7 combo that comes with 5 piece mild chicken tender with a side of Cajun fries. The shrimp and mac and cheese were OK; there wasn’t much shrimp but more breading, and the mac and cheese tasted fake. The chicken on the other hand was really good; the seasoning in the breading is really good and there is a good amount of meat. The Cajun fries were good, but they weren’t crunchy(I like my fries crunchy). The biscuit was also very good, not too soft and not too hard. I would definitely go back but order the chicken next time with the fries– it was a much better choice than my order.

So I’ve been to Popeye’s a few time and it’s always been satisfying to me. I always get the chicken strips with Cajun fries and Blackened ranch sauce. The chicken strips are really well breaded and seasoned. The fries are great. I highly recommend the blackened ranch sauce. Just a good sauce to go with the chicken and fries. And a nice cool refreshing fanta cherry soda. I recommend going to Popeye’s for the chicken strips.

So I’m updating my review. Six months after my first visit I go here on a holiday Monday. The place is empty about 11:45AM and I get to place my order pretty quickly. Their model when there is a line is that they will place your order, have you pay, and then shuffle you over to the side. Otherwise, when I got there, there were two customers in front of me, one has to stay in line and wait for the order to be fulfilled. I ordered the three piece chicken strip combo and a) was asked what kind of sauce I’d like after the order had come to me on a tray and b) had to request my drink cup. The one sauce pack was enough for the three strips though I had to dip all the way down to the bottom of the pack. The cajun fries were cold/unremarkable. For the price I paid and what I received, I still felt a little hungry afterwards. So what did I do? I got a second drink/refilled my cup. I also noticed that floors seemed somewhat«firm» but it is a sunny day. So I can infer that when there is any dampness the floors will still be slippery. I also used the bathroom and it seemed like it was clean since it is still earlier in their operational day. Honestly, the Taco Bell next door is a much better experience though one can argue any one of the other fast food establishments on Boston Post Road are better too. I usually am not critical of establishments and try to be even keeled but this place is one that makes me think long and hard to go through their doors again.

Well, what can I say? Popeyes is the best chicken fast food place by far! Glad there’s more of them now, not really a KFC fan. Cajun fries are the best, spicy chicken rules, and a handful of their sides like the Mac & Cheese rule, too! Right across from LA Fitness, so great location.

My boyfriend and I go to this Popeye’s at least once every couple of weeks, usually for dinner. The food is always good — no complaints there. However the customer service and general demeanor of employees is lacking. The last few times we have gone the soda/garbage station has been a mess, and all the tables have been dirty even though the restaurant is empty… no customers to be seen. The latest escapade through the drive thru wasn’t any better. The two male employees taking the garbage out to the dumpster started yelling random noises while we were trying to order. He was standing literally 5 ft from my car and every time I would go to speak to the lady taking the order he would yell«Blahh». Seriously? Grow up. What’s worse is the lady on the drive thru mic was rude too and had an attitude with me because she couldn’t hear me. If the food wasn’t worth it we’d never go.

Service with an attitude and a dirty restroom. Way to bring the boroughs to Westchester! Plus 1 star for the cool soda machine but minus that star for the line it creates as people try to program it for their beverage.

One of the worst Popeyes in fries were stale and my chicken was rough. the sweet tea was light and the staff seemed super lazy always on their mobile phone, I asked for a jelly and the girl gave me attitude.

Food was decent, Best part of the meal overall was the biscuits. For starters the drive thru is a mess, They rush you through the whole process… although the girl on the speaker was nice, When we got to the pick up window it was disastrous… They mixed up our order and then acted as if it was our fault, As we checked the bag(Fairly quickly) A snarky Angelica asked«ISEVERYTHINGTHEREORNOT» While giving us a look like she had somewhere to be, the place wasnt packed at all and there wasnt even a vehicle behind us… wont be going to this location again

We tried recently opened Louisiana style fried chicken chain on Boston Post Road. Parking lot was spacious, and customer service was fast and attentive. Store was very clean. My son enjoyed combo #7,which comes with 5 pieces of tender chicken, 1 biscuit, 1 signature side and drink.$ 9.99+tax. Chicken was hot and crispy. very good. We will try another menu for the next visit.

I love Popeye’s and was very excited when this restaurant opened up in PC. But the quality of the food preparation was not good. The chicken I got was undercooked. I think there is a learning curve maybe for a brand new Popeye’s kitchen? I’ll try again in a few weeks. They’ll probably get it right eventually.

First time ever eating popeyes. Mehh. consistency of chicken was rubbery which was a turn off. Sides were decent although KFC coleslaw is far superior. The biscuits were best part of meal. .delicious soft buttery goodness. The 1 self serve soda machine is a true test of intelligence as the line was wrapping around the small store. An attendant had to assist diners with use. I never knew there are 8 types of sprite ??? Large Marge at the counter appeared indifferent 2 helping us with choices as she kept rolling her eyes at our simple questions. She needs 2 lay off dem biscuits! Won’t be going back. not worth risking your life getting in and out of parking lot on route 1.

Everything you want from a Popeye’s. First week opened and I’m impressed. A little tight for a suburban location but I’m from the area and they did the best they could with the property space they had. Much better than the KFC that’s horrible on Post Rd

I basically agree with both Joseph and Howie… The parking lot, as well as the physical layout of the restaurant are both somewhat odd and inconvenient. I am not sure this space was planned for optimal usage, to be honest. Now, onto the service: with one exception, I thought the service was spot-on today. I purposely waited a week or so after opening day to try the long-antipated opening of Popeye’s. I went in at exactly noon on a Sunday. It was just becoming fully-packed. They had sufficient staff working, and they were pretty efficient. The guy got my order right, and it came out in a reasonable amount of time. When I got to the digital soft drink fountain – which, by the way, are becoming the standard in the fast food industry – it was not serving ice. However, they did have a guy there who had ice in an appropriate dispensing bucket and who was putting it in cups for the customers using a stainless steel scoop. I had sweet tea. I noticed that both iced tea dispensers were for sweet tea; they didn’t have unsweetened iced tea. When I sat down, I was really happy with my food. It was hot, fresh and very tasty. That’s the main reason for the 4-star rating. I do agree, however, that the side of cajun rice was too small. It is in a tiny little cup that is not even filled. This disappointed me. The chicken was crisp and the meat was really good. The biscuit was hot, fresh and buttery. While I was eating, I had one complaint related to a worker there: She was sitting at a both for four all alone eating her own Popeye’s lunch. The place was full and seating was now limited. There was a table for two where she should have been eating, to allow others to have a place to eat. In addition, she was eating with one hand, and breaking up with her boyfriend over the cell phone with the other in a very loud voice using some choice language in both English and Spanish at the same time. I found this to be very unprofessional. I didn’t say anything… I wasn’t in the mood to make light of it. However, perhaps the manager will read this and take note. I’ll definitely return.

My first visit to this brand new location was on their first Friday night. It was a take out order, but I parked to see what the interior looked like. Joe H’s 4÷3÷15 review is very accurate, although my experience was somewhat more positive. The seating and ordering queue areas are very tight. I am surprised that they meet Popeye’s franchise standards. The single high-tech Coke dispenser requires customers to drill down a couple of menus on a touch screen to make a choice, and is a clear bottleneck. What happens when this one machine breaks down? I ordered a breast and two drumsticks and they seemed tasty and wholesome. I think a place like this should be judged primarily on the quality of their food, and the efficiency of the service, which is why I’ll give them four stars. I was a little disappointed in the side order of Cajun rice. The container was very small, and not even fully packed with rice; maybe four spoonfuls. Obviously, this suburban location is designed to primarily serve drive-thru customers, and now that I have satisfied my curiosity with a walk-in visit, that’s the way I will usually use this location in the future. I’ll update this review after I use the drive-thru, if needed.
