Terramonte Apartments

Since my last update, nothing has really changed. I’m happy to say we’re finally moving out though. Here are a few more scenarios… (1) Power went out on the property in the middle of summer. My husband and I were forced to leave the apartment… When we came back, management had left a note on the doors saying they would not be assisting financially for the any losses due to loss of power since what caused the the power loss was «lightning striking their unit». Well, I called Edison. They had an entirely different story. (2) if you have a question, your answer will differ from person to person… Depending on who you spoke to in the office. As you can imagine, this is extremely frustrating. (3) parking SUCKS!!! There are multiple families living in one unit or 5 students in a unit, all with their own cars so, finding parking is a mission.

Me and my roommates moved here because we really needed a place to stay. When we got here we were all excited and happy. I had no complaints until one of my roommates decided leave out on the lease. As she did this we let the leasing office know like hey this is our situation. They were assholes about it and only worried about the money. So we figured our situation out and now our sink is broke. We told them, they apparently came and fixed it, it was broke again minutes after they fixed it. It took them months to fix the shit. They always came up with some bullshit lie as to that no one was home even after we gave them consent to go in to the apartment. Our light went out and they were suppose to fix that too. The light now only comes on when it wants to. This leasing agency is piss fucking poor. They don’t have good customer service at all! Only good thing about this place is that the homes were actually decent. I pray for anyone who decides to sign a lease here. Virginia is the worst manager anyone could ever deal with. Her attitude is fucked up. Glad we’re leaving.

Crap apartments crap staff every few months there’s new people in the office. Not enough parking, and the people in the don’t help or care. People don’t pick up after there dos, so there’s dog poop all over the grass and sidewalk area. Mailboxes get broken into and no security on premises. Can’t wait. To leave these apartments for good.

Water flooded into my apartment, and apparently the apartment behind us as well. Bummer right? Luckily my Husband was home! I called the office and they sent a maintenance tech over in less than 20 min! They had the plumbers out here just as fast to turn off the water and stop the leak! WHEW!!! They have had to make a few trips out to my home, to finish up the repairs. But they explained to me that water issues have to be completed in stages to ensure that the moisture is all dried up properly, so no additional issues arise later on. Which makes sense. The most convenient part of it all, was that the majority of the work was done while we (my husband and I) were at work. I recommend giving them permission to enter so any schedule you have isn’t affected by the work they have to complete. It definitely worked out for us. We will be staying another year here at TERRAMONTE! Close to everything, quiet, and emergency maintenance services and office staff are on point. #winning

I moved in here a little less than a year ago. I really liked it here and had some great neighbors. However, people started moving out undesirable people were moved in. I now have neighbors that are completely disrespectful, loud all hours of the night, smoke pot outside their apartments, cars and mailboxes are being broken into and it seems as though management doesn’t care about this. The laundry rooms are locked at 9pm and are suppose to reopen at 9am, that rarely ever happens. I had a gas leak from my heater and for weeks was told there was nothing wrong from maintenance. I finally just called the gas company and there was a gas leak. Currently my sink and my shower in my bathroom are not working. Very low pressure and not hot water. I have been trying to get someone out here to fix it for 5 days now.
Needless to say when my lease is up I will be moving this place is dirty and disgusting.
I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My fiancé and I had been looking into Terramonte for quite some time but due to our work schedules, we hadn’t been able to schedule a tour. I spoke to someone from the office and she was very nice and told me they had an open house on Saturday and that she would be able to show at 5PM. My fiancé gets off work at 4:30 so he and I both rushed in order to make it to the appointment from Covina & El Monte. We did arrive 10 mins late and I walked in alone and stood there for a while until someone actually acknowledged me. She looked at me up and down asked what I needed and I told her that I had scheduled an appt at 5, she asked with whom and I told her honestly that I had forgotten the name. So she checked her computer then said «I don’t know who you spoke to but I can’t show you an apartment because its late and I am alone in the office and have other customers here.» Which is understandable, but I was willing to wait since we had already driven all the way over. Then she said she can show me pictures on her computer. I am sorry, but we didn’t rush all the way to La Verne to view pictures on a computer, so I said no thank you and left.
So Monday rolls around and I really wanted to find out who I scheduled my meeting with so I could possibly reschedule. I called and explained to Samantha what had happened on Saturday and that I would like to find out who I initially scheduled a tour with just when– I really hope she didn’t hang up on me but lets just say the phone somehow got «disconnected». So of course, I called back and said «Hi its Rebecca again, I think our phones disconnected» and her response was «YA». She said she could give me a tour I let her know I just wanted to find out the name of the person I had originally made my appointment with in which she said it was Vanessa because she always works on Saturdays.
The point is, Vanessa was the one that I had scheduled my tour with. Vanessa was the one who didn’t know she had an appointment at 5, and is also the one who turned me away… and Samantha hung up on me lol.
If this is how they win over possible tenants, I cant imagine how they treat the ones who already live there. Bye Felicia’s.

This place is a beautiful property but that is about as far as it goes. I lived there for a year, in that time I was harassed by neighbors that would complain if I sneezed out side and the management company was terrible they treated us like dirt. They never gave proper notice for anything, lost some of the fees we paid, then made us pay them again because they don’t make receipts. When it came time to move out the manager virginia said «do you want to do a walk through so you know what you will get charged for?» She is a rude person and I honestly don’t know how she still has a job there. Once you move in you are treated as scum that pays them. Nothing more.

We’re sadly moving out of Terramonte so we can be closer to family in OC. We’ve rented a two bedroom apartment for one year and our experience has been a great one. There isn’t once that we needed something fixed that didn’t get resolved right away. Joel, the maintenance manager is an awesome guy and goes out of his way to fix any issues. Vanessa who works in the office is really friendly and has been a great help when we had questions. The apartments, even though they are older, have been renovated and they look great. Compared to so many other apartments, this place is a really great place to live!!! We will miss it out apartment

Great community, friendly staffs, Great fitness center and business center. I’ve been looking for a nice 1 bedroom apartment for few months and this was the best one in my price range and I’m very happy with my decision. Im very picky person but I’m happy with this apartment.

Love Love Love the people on staff here. They are the cake and the beautiful landscape, sparkling pools, and renovated homes are the icing. I have lived here for 1 year and I just renewed for another. Definitely a decision I do not regret.

It is great to live here because all people are friendly and the managers in the office are very enthusiastic. Also their solution are very helpful. This apartment is worth to live. Just come here!

With MG Properties, there is no mutual benefit to renting an apartment. The company abuses its power. You will have countless notices posted on your door (minimum once a week) for inspections, price increases, forced maintenance that will require you to move out for a month, pay for a closing and reopening your utilities, and sell some of your furnishings at your own expense. This may be legal, but is this ethical? As if that is not enough to make you stay away, they now want their residents to make donations to support Breast Cancer; a cause that I consider very important however very inappropriate to ask for donations from your residents who should not be solicited from their landlord! The management likes to micromanage the residents. Instead of addressing residents that do not comply with the apartment rules, management takes sides and contradicts their first suggestion of action. Both Vanessa and Virginia assume what you are going to say and do as a resident. as well as lie about communication to spouses of residents. Now they also want us to go to a «Fall Festival» to meet our neighbors and donate on Saturday October 25. NEWSFLASH! I work on weekends to support living here and will work a lot more now that my rent is raised.
MG Properties clearly trains their management team to treat the residents like dictators. I’m sure that they do not act this way when showing new residents apartments, but I assure you that If you have a question you could just call and say that you are from one of the units and they would treat you like dirt. We are a number, not a resident. There is zero consideration for the residents from the management. Most communication between the management and residents is always poor and inaccurate.
I did contact MG Properties about these stressful life changes and never got a response from the company that proudly proclaims on their website «Enriching Lives Through Better Communities», little did you know that it would be by alienating its residents one unit at a time. I am not the only resident that feels this way. One resident reported them to the California Housing Authority who recently cold called many of the occupants about discrimination charges.
Their website also boasts «By concentrating on apartment investments in Southern California, Phoenix, Tucson, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle, MG Properties Group has gained strong local market knowledge. Focusing mostly on underperforming or value-​add communities, MG Properties Group possesses a unique expertise that has proven invaluable in identifying attractive investments and renovating and managing its communities to their highest value». What this means is that if you live in an area of lower income, your rent will be raised. Honestly, the only reason I still am here is because I cannot afford the cost to move yet, but am still looking for a place close to my own work.

I’ve been here for two years. When me and my bf moved in this was such a nice place to live. Since Mg properties took over its been a constant battle. I regret resigning mg lease. But unfortunately I don’t have the extra Money to pay to cancel it. I wish they would understand that and let us leave peacefully. I recently have been extremely sick and asked for an extension until the end of the month to pay rent and they’ve sure to hit me with legal (eviction). I am paying like 400 $ more for the exact same apartment I was in before the «renovation» it crap here. Management knew I was without a stove for two months I call corporation and they fix it that week. So sad here. I would not recommend moving here. So many other apartment complexes with more to offer at a better price and better area. ! Nothing but regret here. Don’t sign a lease here.

These apartments have been recently purchased by MG Properties when I first went to look at them right after Thanksgiving. When I called I spoke with a woman by the name of Vanessa who is really outgoing and down to earth. She scheduled an appointment for me where she showed me 2 different properties. Her information was very detailed and helped me choose the apartment on falcon st. The leasing process was very simple and easy since I had all the paperwork and documentation they needed.
Once I moved in there was a mix up with keys, but Vanessa fixed that issue right away. Any time I need something done I give the leasing office a call and Vanessa makes it happen. Oh yea and Vanessa even hooks me up dog up with treats from time to time.
I have traveled around the country due to the military and have dealt with various landlords/​property managers and this one is one has some of the best customer service.

I’ve Lived here for something Like 5 years now. My gf and I find it just what we need for the price. Recently or rent went up but that’s to be expected since now there is a management company running the office and they are making a great many improvements to everything.
Pet friendly, polite staff in the office and prompt answers when you need maintenance to fix anything. it’s not the Ritz but its a good place at a good price.
Two pools, a «café» (basically a front office location where there is free internet) plenty of laundry rooms, a gym and garage for every apartment.
Recently all the garage doors were replaced/​upgraded.
