Humm, just got called by Anderson Pool and Spa, it’s really nice to hear from the company since it’s been almost 3 years and $ 40,000 for pool remodeling .
Our pool has no overflow outlet, and spa sits at same level of pool so hummmm, to use pool has to be low or pool water flows into spa… you’d think that the company would have known it wouldn’t work… copping is falling out already, in several spots, Sean our designer was nice, gave me his now wife’s cd of music prior to signing.
Lessons learned:
1, bcz it’s a remodel we didn’t get a drawn design.
2. The spa was widened by our request, and money.
3 we had a shallow end island put in, had to ensure a step was made to get back on top of island once in pool.
4. Our tile man, Anderson hired, had quit have way through bcz of issues with Anderson, job fell behind.
5. We, consumers had to over see everything as the contractors never knew what they were doing, bcz again no design was given.
6. Sean disappointed us, but of course it’s all business, our bench in deep end is where he put the pool sweep. So to sit… well remove pool equipment first.
7. Our loan for pool is paid off already, so thank goodness we don’t have all the frustrations and payments.

we had some work done in our backyard this summer (waterfall, concrete floor and an island). We were told that the job will be done in or under 4 weeks. we understand that with jobs like this there will be some delays but the job took well over 12weeks with some work not fully done or not done right. Michael the project manager was very nice but over promises on everything… but totally fails to deliver. towards the end of the project we had to beg him to finish the job. apparently the owner Mike had taken on other jobs and stopped sending his workers to our house and still expected us to pay him in full. With waterfall undone, grass still not put in and landscaping not done Mike sent us a legal notice to pay him in full. it was really really frustrating. After 2 weeks of no one showing up Michael tried to finish the job himself. He tried but i guess lack of experience, the sod was not put correctly and the pavers that he installed around the grass area were so bad that they got loose in less than a week of installation. He kept telling me he will come back and fix them but as always no show. I would never ever ever work with these people again. Stay clear of these people.

HOW TO LOSE A CUSTOMER.. . Matt, sorry I won’t be coming in anymore. Here’s why:
I came in apparently on your day off and the owner, Mike, was handling the counter. I had discovered one of the bottles of chlorine in the case I regularly purchase was missing about a quarter of the fluid. What the heck, I remembered when I got the case there were some leakers in the area, I just thought I’ll bring it back with my empties and exchange it for a full one. I brought if up to the counter and explained this to Mike. His response was «we don’t accept returns of chemicals.»
I said, «I’m just exchanging it for a full one.» He said, «It doesn’t matter, we don’t accept returns on chemicals.» I said, «You mean I have to take the tops off all bottles in a case to be sure they are full?» He said, «Yes.» Since I was a little upset, he decided to make matters worse. He took the partial bottle and gave it to a guy who must have been a commercial customer and told him he could have it. He knows I’m a regular customer. Over a four dollar bottle, he just lost me. Seeing how upset I was, he decided to give me a case free but by then I was not interested in his offer and paid for the refills.

Anderson Pool & Spa is absolutely wonderful! We needed our pool replastered and the tiles needed to be replaced. I found them on Unilocal and when I called I got an appointment right away to have someone come out and give me an estimate. The day Mike came out to give me an estimate, he was so great to work with. Not only are the prices decent but he also assured me that the job would be done right and in a timely manner. We wanted our pool replastered, the tiles changed out, and we also had them stretch out the pool step so that it can provide us seating in the pool. Words cannot explain how happy I am with the results. I actually called them back in March and everything was completed in a timely manner. I am only now reviewing them because I wanted to make sure that as time passed, the job was still done correctly to where nothing was falling apart. Also, I just purchased a pool heater from them as well and now we have been enjoying the pool during these summer nights and will be enjoying it well into the winter! Anderson Pool & Spa has delivered as promised and I am so happy we found them! Their work is so promising that at the end of this summer season, I plan on hiring them again to re-​do the floor/​cement in our backyard surrounding the pool! I’m confident I will be pleased with that outcome as well and will update my review once that occurs as well!

Have been coming here for many years-​the service and knowledge is second to none. The store manager Matt is the most helpful and courteous individual at any pool store I have ever been to. They will work with you on prices and if they don’t have something they can get it in a day or two. Also they test water and are very good on salt systems and helping with your questions about them. They are even open on Sundays and the gentleman in there is also very helpful and courteous. I have read some other reviews on here and I can tell you they are not true at all, especially the one that says they don’t greet you and the store is cluttered. I am always welcomed and the store is neat and organized in addition if you don’t need anything they wont try to sell you products that you don’t need-​unlike some other chain outlets or other pool stores I have been to.

Do not use anderson pools. Workmanship is lousy, the main drain in the pool hasn’t worked from day one, the concrete around the pool has water trapped under it making it look all stained. Repeated calls to the pool company have had no results. Very dissapointed after such a large investment

Anderson Pool and Spas is terrible. So last year I went to see them because I need some work on my pool. They set up an appointment for one of their workers to come and provide an estimate. Guy never showed up or even called. They did this TWICE.
Last week I was looking for a simple product, which they had but they don’t greet you when you walk in and it’s cluttered. The store is gloomy and the employee attitudes are poor. Well I get ready to pay and hand them cash but they don’t have change. Really? A business without change? Who runs their business like that. So I left and didn’t purchase the product.
Suffice it to say, that there is another pool place up the street, that is clean, orderly and employees are much nicer. I’ll never go to Andersons again, even if it’s closer than the other place.

Always great service, top notch expertise and well supplied store. We are lucky to still have small businesses like this in the community. Support your local businesses, this is a good one!
My husband went in to buy a bubble cover today. The owner remembered him and our kids from last season, through in some toys for the kids and wished us a fun season!

Been having trouble keeping up with my Unilocal reviews but here it is… Had to have my pool redone last October, and after 2 years of looking for a pool contractor, i came across Anderson Pool and Spa. They had the best pricing, were professional, and i liked that they had a store we could go to and pick out material. I had the pool coping, plaster and equipment demoed and relocated. Things definitely came up as the demo began but it was to be expected. However, being in large construction, everything that came up was legit and (Mike) worked with me on it, every time. His workers were always on time, and clean and when we had a few hiccups (to be expected) Mike responded every time and in a prompt manner. Overall, we were satisfied with the work and even kept them on board for our pool service.

Still happy!!! Anderson finished the pool over labor day weekend, but I’m just now updating the post with photos and final comments. I couldnt be happier with the end result. Mike and his team took our broken down old seventies style pool and completed a makeover so nice that you would never know it was a remodel. The entire experience was pleasant and Mike was very engaged along the way, making sure no details were overlooked. The price was very fair, Mike is very reliable, and his workers showed up, were polite and got the work done. I’d highly recommend this company. Im not sure why Unilocal wont post the great reviews and will keep crappy reviews from a year ago at the top of the page.

Must read! I found this company online and gave them a shot after receiving a few estimates from other contractors. Their understanding that they needed to answer all of my questions and concerns with straightforward answers where one of the biggest differences i experienced during the estimating process compared with other companies. Their rep Mike made sure i understood the entire process from begining to end. Aside from that, i was sold with their competitive pricing.
Once the process began, it took about a week or so… and I couldn’t be happier with the end result! I am the type of person that really doubts everyone, and i still had my reservations about even going through with this. But as soon as they began chipping my pool and i saw how quick, knowledgeable and clean their crew was, my doubts had been put to ease. It only took a few hours to chip my entire pool, then approximately 3 hours to retile it a few days later, and then pretty much half of a saturday afternoon to do the replastering. They even listened to all of my instructions on how to place my tiles on my steps (i was right there with them).After that, Mike explained to me how to care for my pool’s new plaster. He gave me his cell phone number in case i had any questions after the project was completed. I am completely satisfied and will recommend them to anyone that wants a fast, friendly, hands-​on pool replaster. Very worth it!

Fast, clean, and left my old broken down pool looking like new! These guys at Anderson Pool and Spa really know their profession. Mike came in, and told me it will take about 1 week or so to complete the pool re-​plastering /​re-​tiling process, install a new pump and test my pool lines to make sure everything was properly working (before they re-​plaster). The entire process took about 2 weeks. They where good about working with MY schedule and this is why it took them a bit longer. Their crew are very clean, leaving no mess behind, and they work fast. I especially commend their electrician/​plumber Ruben as he carefully explained everything I needed to know about my pool light, pump, lines and filter. He even fixed my pool light connection as the GFI was not properly installed previously by another company. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to have have their pool re-​plastered, remodeled or fix any issue they might have with it, as this company does it all. I would especially recommend you speak with Mike, as he was there to answer all of my questions and helped set aside all of my concerns.

Well, I just had my pool re plaster by Anderson Pool and Spa and I’m very happy with the job and with Mike the owner.
I has several issues with my pool; I was losing about 1 ½ inches of water a day due to leak, needed a new pump and a heater (old heater was leaving rust stain on plaster) and new Jandy valves for Spa diverter.
My experience stated out by getting estimates from other companies, Anderson was the best price!!! It’s started by me setting up for an appointment via online I received a call from Mikes office the next morning to schedule an appointment with Mike. I meet with Mike and I explained the problems I had with my pool and how I would like my pool to look, Mike looked at my pool and explained every thing that was needed and he also explained how he would locate and repair the leak. So, we sat down, Mike wrote up and estimated with everything I needed to have a turnkey pool for the summer. I asked Mike to leave me the estimate to look it over for a couple of day so I can do some Internet comparisons and read reviews on the equipment he recommended. So, I did and it was good and quality equipment (Pentair).
I called Mike back a couple of days later and signed a contract with a start and a completion date. So, the work started on time and they even completed 1 week earlier than promised! I was so impressed with all of Mike’s employees, they where all courtesy and always explained what they were doing that day. All his crews conducted them self’s in very professional manner; they always cleaned and washed my pool deck after the work was completed.
One other thing that I would like to mention is the fact that Mike would always answer my calls, texts and if he couldn’t take my call I would leave a message and with in less than an hour he would call me back. This quality is very hard to find in a contractor now a day!!! Thanks Mike!
Well, the work is completed and the start up went very smooth and my pool looks GREAT! Kids are enjoying their summer with great looking pool.
I would highly recommend Anderson Pool and Spa to any one…

So we had 4 other estimates before we went with Anderson’s pool.
Mike the owner was the fifth estimate we received. We are re doing our pool. Just wanted to say He’s awesome. The work is not done yet but, week ahead of schedule
And the guys working for him are nice to. Can’t go wrong. Will post pics once it’s all done.
Make sure you talk to Mike before you make up your mind who to go with. Trust me I’m glad I did.

I recently had our pool replastered and gorgeous LED lights installed. The pool now looks absolutely incredible and truly updated and modern.
Mike has been phenomenal with customer service and always available. He manages all the work himself and oversees a team with attention for detail.
What makes Mike stand out is that he available on the weekend and comes to inspect even small issues himself.
Very happy with the service.

So far so good. Moved into a larger home with a pool ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₃. Never owned a pool in my life. Pool needs some work– plastering and upgrading the systems. I was recommended to call Mike by a friend who had his pool resurfaced by him and had nothing but good things to say. Mike is professional, courteous and very knowledgable. He literally came over and gave me a crash course on how to maintain the pool, clean the pool and how the equipment worked and should be maintained. Never pushy, never trying to sell more than you need. The work starts in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to updating as it develops. Chris-​you were right– Mike is great!

Happy so far. Construction has begun. Old plaster and tile is out. New equipment in. Mike suggested a beautiful cobalt blue tile and it looks awesome. Re plaster scheduled in a couple of days. Looks like I may have a new pool by this weekend. I really don’t know why there are these negative reviews. I’ll update you when it’s done.

UPDATE 8÷31÷2013: Anderson pool has resolved every issue of mine and even paid to refill the pool when they had to drain it.

If I could give Anderson Pool a ZERO, I definitely would. Don’t be fooled by their responses to these reviews. It’s just a public relations stunt to make you believe that they care more for their customers than they actually do.
I called Anderson Pool to replaster my pool and spa. Within a couple of hours, Paul Barry (spelling?) got back to me setting up an appointment time. Holding my hand throughout the sales process, we decided on upgrading all our equipment as well. He sold us on a new variable speed pump, a new pool heater, and a new blower for the spa. This is in addition to the plaster and tile that was going to be redone on our pool.
The quality of the work? DISMAL. The trim tile on the steps are FAR FARRR from perfect. I promise you I am not exaggerating (photos will be uploaded — look for the crooked tile). The natural gas pipe used for the pool heater did not meet code (according to the gas company), the variable speed pump was never set up accordingly, and the blower — still in the box.
Thinking this was a honest mistake, I called my sales rep… Paul Barry. Such a nice guy. He really lets you know how much he cares about you AFTER he collects your credit card number. He almost ALWAYS never calls back when you call. I’ve gone weeks without hearing from him. A month and a half after the job was «completed,» he calls me back after I complain to the main office. He comes over after I ask him to take a look as the substandard work done on my pool and takes a few photos. After promising to get back to me after a couple of days, when do I hear from him? NEVER!
Tired of dealing with Mr. Barry alone, I take the blower back to their store to get a refund. When asked to show the receipt, I tell them it’s from work that is incomplete. Mysteriously, however, the blower is conspicuously missing from the invoice. After taking down my complaint, I am told Mr. Barry will call me back «soon.»
Instead of a call about my concerns, I have a technician waiting — UNSCHEDULED — at my house to change the pipes for the natural gas line to the heater. I’m quite sure my list is a LITTLE more extensive than that.
This isn’t a rant to express how discontent I am with the level of service I have received from this company. I have waited 3 months to write this review in hopes that something would change. I am sad to say that it hasn’t. As such, this is a warning to any would-​be customers/​clients to turn around and find another company. Anderson Pool and Spa only purports to take care of their customers needs on Unilocal.In actuality, it is only a PR scheme to lure in customers who give the undeserving the benefit of doubt.

From concept to concrete… we’re thrilled!
We chose Anderson Pool & Spa because Sean’s design was superior and his presentation was professional especially compared to the other quotes we received. Sean gave us additional significant advice on landscaping and pool upgrade options ~ our backyard looks like a 5 Star Resort at night. We especially love the pool lighting system, the built-​in planters, and the coping, tile, & plaster choices that we made. The construction crews were excellent, hard working, and respectful ~ we felt like they wanted to do a good job to make us happy.
The most difficult part of this project was the WAITING. Plan ahead if you’re anxious to swim in a gorgeous pool & spa designed by Sean at Anderson Pool & Spa. 5 Stars all the way!
