Strong Wood Floors

We are extremely happy with our newly refinished hardwood floor. Our oak floor was seriously in need of repair and refinishing. We were apprehensive about the inconvenience, dust, etc. and probably procrastinated too long as a result. We surveyed several companies and selected Strong. Very glad we did. Jeremiah was great to work with. Ezekiel actually did the repair and refinishing work and he did an excellent job. They were both reliable, knowledgeable and efficient. Thank you

Jeremiah was great! Our floors had not been refinished in years, and his dustless system made it relatively painless. He was very knowledgeable and was a huge help in advising on colors. He was always on time and his work was very detailed. I would recommend him and his company to anyone.

Jeremiah and his staff do very detailed and professional work. Jeremiah and his team are skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly. Dust is minimized with the system they use. The work started on the day promised and the overall job was finished early. The floors look beautiful. I would highly recommend.

My floors are «in progress»…so an «after action» report to follow. I’m taking advantage of a little spare time before moving back into our home. My first impression of Jeremiah was accurate and I’ve continued to be impressed with his expertise, patience and willingness to work with my tight schedule. After receiving his estimate, my family had a medical emergency out of state. Mired in drama, Jeremiah, via emails and phone calls, was the only stable entity. He was unfazed (!)…delivered beautiful hickory hardwood, assigned fabulous Ezequiel to prep the job site and should ;) complete the project as planned. Distance made the «little details» inconvenient… like a signed contract AND a deposit !! Thank you Jeremiah for treating our home and, more importantly, US with TLC !

Jeremiah is awesome! We had original red oak flooring from the 1960’s that had not been refinished properly by previous owners. He did a wonderful job of refinishing them and restoring the beauty of the wood. Very professional and dependable too! I would highly recommend him!

They were professional, friendly, and very knowledgable about the entire process and about all of the wood in our home. They were always on time and cleaned up after themselves every day. Their work is impeccable. We would highly recommend them to anyone. The newly finished floors make our classic 1922 home shine in its original glory. Beautiful work. Jeremiah and crew are true craftsmen who really care about their work and it shows.

We just completed a parquet floor renovation with Jeremiah and Strong Wood Floors. The work was amazing. He is very honest and encouraged us to save our floor even though he could have made more money off a new one. He found wood that was a close match, repaired all our damage, sanded and stained to blend with our existing floors. The work on the job was clean, finished in his exact timeline, came in cheaper than two others, and he and his guys were very professional. He also did our floor board trim too. He brought us a whole box of sample trim to help give us ideas so we could make it nicer than quarter round. The project is complete and the floors are gorgeous! Our vintage floor is amazing!

I write few reviews since I’m usually disappointed with the performance of most companies. Not So with Strong or his employees! From the quote to the completed job, everything was handled very professionally and Jeremiah made it very easy for us. He typically works in the Tri-​Valley area but you would smart to consider him regardless where you are. I’m in Oakland and sent him images of the floor by phone so that he could work up a quote. The cost was competitive but he offered to do more than just refinish (and more than all other companies). He replaced a number of planks and did more than he promised, at the quoted price. The whole crew earned an A+ for keeping things clean, friendliness, letting us know what to expect up front, staying on schedule, arriving on time, completing on schedule and exceeding expectations. The floors look great! As a Project Manager and a Facility Manager, Strong is one of the top 2 or 3 vendors I’ve used personally and professionally.
The Downside: He’s very busy! He managed to work me into his schedule but if you’re looking for top quality work at a fair price — CALL HIM EARLY!

Jeremiah and his team came in after my floors were completely destroyed by a previous company and turned them into perfection. Jeremiah was honest truthful and lived up to every commitment he made. I was so impressed by their cleanliness and professionalism. I had other floor companies encourage me to replace my floors entirely, Jeremiah saved me 1000’s of dollars by refinishing them which was the right thing to do. I highly recommend this man and his company!

I had Jeremiah Strong redo my hardwood floors in July 20 013. He and his crew were great. He was on time and communicated of what they were going to do day by day. Explained which finish was the best. I was considering a oil base finish and he explained that the VOC’s in the water base were much better, no chemical smell at ALL. I have loved the finish on the floors, so easy to keep clean. His crew even helped move some of my heavy furniture which made it so much easier to move back in.

Jeremiah Strong has the eye and hand of a creative artist. Don’t waste your time looking any further. He is the best. Highly detailed, perfectionist, patient, thorough, honest, conscientious, and fairly priced. What more could you ask for? I’ve already done the research, looked at the competition and done the foot work, so hire him. Our refinished and new wood floors are gorgeous.

I Love My Floors

Jeremiah gave us a quote for refinishing our floors and a timeline to complete them. He finished one day early, did an exceptional job and cleaned up after himself. He even came back and layed some baseboard around our kitchen cabinets that was not included in his work. He is one of the few contractors that we have had working on our house that we would recommend without reservation!

These guys did a great job refinishing my floor which had not been refinished in decades, had some serious stains, and some damage. They came on time, worked hard to get it done, and left no mess.
