My wife and I were looking for a home as first time buyers and were not familiar with the process. Chris was referred to us and we spoke a couple times on the phone. A couple months later, we found our perfect home unexpectedly and began to submit the documents for his review. During the entire process, he was very open, positive, proactive, and was truly there to help us in every way and quickly. While we were out of town, he maintained contact with us to keep things moving and was always responsive to our first-​time home buyer questions!
We were so lucky to find him and appreciate everything he did to help us. We of course plan to work with him again and are impressed of how knowledge he is in the entire process, as he also worked as a realtor in the past. Chris made a very stressful time in our lives to be more encouraging and less confusing.

Around a year ago we came onto Unilocal looking for a mortgage advisor to get us back in the market. We lost our first home in the recent recession and really wasn’t looking forward to starting the process again. We had no previous connection to Chris and only chanced upon him by his great reviews here on Unilocal.
What can we say… Chris and his team deserve every 5 star review on here! A true professional and an expert in his field. He understood exactly where we were coming from, what we were looking for, and explained every step along the way.
One piece of advice would be to listen to any recommendations he may have. Chris is too much of a professional to push a referral, but after 10 months of unsuccessful bids using a realtor we found ourselves we almost gave up. Chris asked us to hold on a little longer, let him work his magic, and give a realtor he has worked with in the past a shot… Well about 2 months after that conversation we are in our perfect home!

Chris helped us get a loan on a litigation town home (meant for a rental which makes loan process even harder). He did a wonderful job in securing the loan for us in record time and also helped get waivers on most of the fees. Very professional, and very pleasant to work with.

Chris recently handled the loan on our son’s first home purchase. Chris and his assistant, Mary, were absolutely wonderful. The timeline they sent our son spelled out exactly what was going to happen, when it was going to happen and why it was going to happen. All emails and communications were responded to almost immediately.

My home purchase is complete, and my wife and I really have to hand it to Chris for helping make it all possible. Let me start by saying, I HATE writing reviews and find myself doing it only if my service was exceptionally awesome, or horrendously terrible… and I’m glad to say in this case, it’s the first one!
Buying a home, or securing a loan, is maybe one of the most nerve wracking events ever and Chris just made it easier, and just better. From our very first conversation I could tell that I liked Chris and wanted to work with him. He was prompt in getting back to me right from the beginning. He was personable, and easy to talk with and most importantly, he was extremely knowledgable. And if he didn’t have an answer right away, he used his resources and found that answer for us quickly. We were never left waiting for Chris to get back to us. He was fast and efficient in every aspect.
We used a VA loan for our home purchase, which are not super «popular» in the Bay Area. And although it wasn’t something Chris did every day and it wasn’t necessarily his expertise, he was great. When he wasn’t sure about something specific to the VA, he would find the answers for us. We never felt like he was going to miss something. He is thorough. He has great attention to detail, and is just on it. Our loan ended up being so smooth, even though we used the VA and bought a home that was in probate. We were braced for a much longer process, but we closed in about 30 days — amazing! And that is due in large part to Chris just being on top of everything. He was constantly letting us know what he needed from us in terms of information and documentation early on, so it put us in great shape to close quickly. We got a great rate, and really do not think it could have been beat by anyone else.
I think Chris’s best qualities are as so:
1) Extremely prompt and always available, especially by e-​mail. So quick to reply, which is so important when you are buying a home and already stressed out!
2) Sincerity, honesty and just a nice person! It felt like Chris was really on our side through the whole process and wanted to get us the best rate he possibly could. We trusted him, and felt comfortable through our whole process.
3) Extremely current and knowledgeable. Simply said, Chris knows his stuff.
I really can’t sat enough great things about Chris and his team. He’s the guy you want on your side when buying a home, or refinancing. We will certainly use him again if the opportunity arises.
