Established in 1984.

Time flies when you’re having fun

Like most DJ’s, we started with one music system, working out of the garage, and meeting clients in our homes.

We loved it.

Times have changed — to say the least. Today, we have a crew of 25 disc jockeys, a full-​time office staff, a full service warehouse, equipment techs, dancers and party motivators. We still love our work, but we don’t miss working out of the garage.

We’ve worked hard over the years.

We’ve kept people calling back for more and passing our name along. Last year we were at over 2000 events. We are the largest and most referred mobile disc jockey company in Northern California.

Patrick M.

Manager

Patrick McMichael is the Director of Business Development for Denon & Doyle Event Entertainment, Director of Communications for his local ISES and NACE Chapters and National Director of Communications and Marketing for the Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA). Tasked with all outside sales duties, public relations responsibilities, marketing, branding and advertising operations.

Patrick continues to use his love of people, creativity and events to help Denon & Doyle thrive in the special event market. He was recently awarded the Event Professional of the Year Award for 2007 by the San Francisco Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), and winner of the International Special Event Society Northern California (ISES) Rising Star Award.

This review is for Denon & Doyle’s Photo Booth rental. From the onset, comms were exemplary… the only glitch was myself… the photo booth task for our holiday party was «other duties as assigned» for me so I provided the hiccups to our collective comms. Irrespective, everyone at D& D, from Patrick McMichael, Chris Mowery, Chaz and Brian Doyle exemplified patience, graciousness, professionalism, expertise and optimal service orientation. They remain our choice for next year’s Photo Booth… it was a hit at our holiday function… moreover, Chaz ws ever so patient with the children who couldn’t get enough of the photo booth and its offerings! Needless to say, the kids were not bored at this company holiday event! Thank you, Denon & Doyle, for wrapping up our holidays event with a nice bright glittery bow!

I could not say enough positive things about Denon & Doyle especially Sue and Abe!
Sue was a pleasure to work with from the get go. She’s extremely professional and helped answered all of my questions and concerns when it came to lighting, music, prices, packages, etc. When searching for a DJ for my wedding, I really wanted an Armenian DJ because of my husband’s ethnicity; we wanted someone bilingual or just a bit of knowledge with the Armenian culture. To my surprise, Denon & Doyle had 2 Armenian DJs!
We got lucky with Abe. Abe is amazing! From our first conversation with Abe to the end of the wedding– he exceeded our expectations. He helped the night flow so smoothly we did not want it to stop! He listened to our song requests; he made the traditional events very lively and he even threw in a surprise game for my husband and I which turned out to be really fun (although I was extremely nervous at first) and entertaining for our guests. Two thing that stuck out to us about Abe was:
1. Abe was constantly checking in on my husband and I– making sure we were having a good time, even making sure we were well fed and had plenty of drinks on hand. He did more than we could have asked for from a DJ/​MC.
2. Our special mother’s dance. My husband and I did a special mother’s/daughter/son dance with our moms. My mother is not in the best health and she is also very shy; for her to dance in front of a crowd was extremely nerve wrecking and took a bit of convincing. When it came time for the dance, I had to tell Abe we might not be able to do it because mom was not feeling well that night. He came up with a game plan and it was perfectly executed. He had the guest crowd around the big dance floor for a more intimate space; He cut the dance into 1 minute (perfect for my mom) and then had all of the couples in the room join in for the latter half of the song. It all just flowed so well. I got to dance with my mom for the short period and our guest go to relive a little bit of high school slow dancing ;) I will forever cherish this moment!

We had a great experience with them for our wedding. The form you fill out beforehand really helps keep things organized and the DJ really did stick to our ‘must play’ and ‘do not play’ lists. Our DJ even made sure we ate something! He helped keep us on schedule and was a great emcee.

Brian Holmes is a wedding expert with a beautiful creative vision. He added the unique, custom and creative touch that we needed! (I.E. Wine Box Tradition, Anniversary Dance, Father | Daughter dance & more fun, inspiring ideas!!) Mark Addington went out of his way to save us money based on his connections and relationships with our wedding venue: Gloria Ferrer Sparkling Winery & Caves in Sonoma, CA! Not to mention, they had a thorough online wedding planner with «must plays,» & «do not plays» and played all of our music we selected! Thank you!!!

These guys are awesome. They are incredibly professional and helpful. They picked up the phone the first time I called and I had a contract emailed to me before any of the other DJs had even returned my call. The DJ at the wedding was super lively and kept people on the dance floor for the entire reception. And he played just about every song we suggested which was a pretty decent sized list. These guys are definitely the best choice for a DJ.

They were the best! Our DJ — Kevin — was a total pro throughout the whole experience (as well as very patient), and Sue was a great resource for questions and advice during the planning process. They executed everything perfectly, and made our ceremony and reception the most fun!

I had this company bring in their booth. He came on time, set up the booth and then the FUN began. From the beginning of our event the line never ended at the booth. Free props were provided. Instructions were given but he stayed at the booth to assist. We liked him so much we HAD to have him in some of the photos. I have and will continue to recommend this company for all of their upcoming events.
Next event… they are coming back.

Our wedding was on September 6, 2015 and Alex was our DJ. He was amazing! One of the reasons we went with Alex was because he his bilingual and we had Spanish only and English only guests at our wedding. Alex played he perfect mix of music and our dance floor was never empty. People had to sit down to take a break for a song or two, but that was even too much for a lot of people as the selections were wonderful. Alex even accommodated my need to hear JLO repeatedly even though he may have just played it a few songs ago (if the guests minded, they didn’t say anything. Keep the bride happy!).
I can’t give them enough praise for making our night so unforgettable! We’ve had so many people come up to us and tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they had ever been to and every single one of them has mentioned the DJ.

We went with Denon & Doyle off a couple people’s recommendation and are really glad we did. After going to the open house and talking with Sue, we felt like we were in good hands. The online wedding planner they had us fill out after booking with our DJ, Ed Combong, was super helpful in the planning process. All we had to do after that was finalize the details with a coordinator and that was it! Super easy, friendly and seamless process.
The day of the wedding, Ed was so kind and gracious that the crowd could feed off his energy and definitely showed it on the dance floor. EVERYONE was dancing and had such great things to say about the music selection. At one point, his computer had a glitch but it was short lived and Ed handled it like a champ. Thanks so much for making our day so much fun! Would highly recommend anyone checking them out for a one stop shop.

Denon and Doyle was recommended to me by a friend that used them for her children’s Bar and Bat Mizvahs. When I looked into the company I found out they have monthly meet and greets just for potential wedding customers. They did a presentation for the DJ aspect of the business, but they also do photo booths and lighting. You can also meet some of the DJs to find one with a personality that matches your’s. It was really well done.
We ended up going with Ed and he was amazing. They played all the music we asked for and kept the fun dance party atmosphere we were going for. They were very professional and had some great online tools to help us communicate the timeline and songs we wanted at different parts of the night. Ed was awesome and Denon and Doyle was so professional. I highly recommend them!

We contacted Denon & Doyle very last minute about djing our wedding last month. Sue was extremely accommodating and Brian was very helpful on the phone with the logistics. They were also reasonably priced! (7 hours = $ 900, approx). Stephanie was our DJ for the day and she was spectacular. Everything was so smooth, Stephanie was so nice and friendly. She was the perfect fit and made our day that much better. She knew what music to play and went off the list I had originally put together with some help. She was able to read the guests well and kept everyone dancing the whole night. When it got too hot/​stuffy in our venue, the guests moved to the patio and she and a friend of mine worked to get the speaker outside so we could keep dancing out there. She was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend D&D and Stephanie again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the amazing memories!

Mark at Denon and Doyle DJ’d our recent wedding (and did the lights) and he did a great job. We had provided him with a lot of guidance on song selection, but he was largely responsible for keeping the dance floor lively all night, across all generations of our guests, and helping us stay on schedule for the evening. Many awesome memories were made on that dance floor that night. So, Mark, thanks for that. Mark was also happy to speak with my husband in the days leading up to the wedding to make sure that he fully understood what we were looking for.
Sue was also fabulous to work with. I actually want to apologize to her for being so unresponsive during the months leading up to the wedding. She tirelessly followed up with us until the event was planned, and she was so so nice, even though we sometimes ignored her emails for weeks. I’m actually still a little embarrassed about it. So my apologies, Sue, but we will be singing your and Mark’s praises for many months to come!

Mark Haggerty was our DJ for our wedding on Saturday and we could not be happier! He played the best music and had our dance floor packed the entire night. I was nervous people wouldn’t want to dance outside when it was still semi-​light out, but that was not the case at all. He had people up on their feet the second the mother-​son dance was complete. I highly recommend him– if he is available and you are looking for a DJ, book Mark, you won’t regret it I promise!

D&D hosted my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah in 2013 and when we started planning our wedding, I knew we needed to call them up. They didn’t disappoint! Tyrone and Ed were the BEST! They took out song list and put it on steroids. At one point the dance crowd thinned out. Their next song got them back out going strong!
Sue walked us through the process and helped us with our timeline and the guys went with it. Tyrone danced with us all night long. What a great time had by all. I highly recommend them for any event you have!

My wife and I got married at Rancho Nicasio on June 20th and had Jason Wheat as our DJ. Jason was there early and was on auto-​pilot in regards to setup. Every single aspect about him was extremely «high-​and-​tight» in regards to his professionalism. He clearly knew his job and knew his equipment. Most important, he was extremely polite, fun and social. He kept everything going smoothly and without a hitch. Everyone thought he was fantastic and we could not have been any more pleased.
Leading up to the event, D&D were the most easy group of people to work with. These folk HANDLE BUSINESS. There is a reason why they have been around for so long and have the reviews that they do. We found out about them because they did my wife’s cousins wedding in 2013, and we were so impressed at that time that when it came time to plan our wedding, we didn’t bother to look any further.

I hired Denon & Doyle to DJ my wedding in June 2015. Patrick was in charge of my event. My wedding could not have turned out any better for a variety of reasons but a large part of that was the music and overall coordination provided by Patrick. Music is very important to me and Patrick met with me prior to our wedding to get an overall flavor of our day and review my likes and dislikes. He played everything I wanted and also responded to the guests requests and and general demeanor. A bonus was that Patrick is just a very personable guy, easy to work with, friendly and just all around great. Excellent day, excellent service and I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than Denon & Doyle for this type of service. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Patrick!

There is not enough words to express how grateful I am for Denon & Doyle. My daughter and I attended a wedding showcase hosted by D&D back in November. We were both impressed with all they offer and loved all their suggestions. My daughter met/​emailed with them over the weeks leading up to her Big Day which helped ease her worries. The Big Day arrived a couple weeks ago and WOW, our venue looked amazing with D&D’s uplighting, photo booth was tons of fun and the DJ Tyrone had all our guest on the dance floor all night. This was our second time working with Denon & Doyle. I should be so lucky to be able to work with them again! Our Deejays were amazing and kept the kids busy the whole night long, and when dinner was over, they took care of the adults too. The photobooth was a great hit and managed well– and we especially liked receiving the pictures at the end of the night from all of our guests who took pictures.
The preplanning was a breeze and there was never a moment where I didn’t feel like I was well taken care of.
I just can’t say enough about this team. They deserve every one of their five stars.

I enjoy planning events and when I found out there was a Deejay open house I was all over that! I needed a DJ for our September 2013 wedding at Mira Vista Country Club.
It was so cool, they had a sit down introduction on all their deejays, wine and treats for the guests, photo booths and up lighting services they provided… It felt like a DJ meet and greet event.
Between the top 2 deejays I had a connection with, I chose Ed! I felt they were very organized and filling out the questionnaire on line, ie. first dance song, cutting the cake, was helpful in the process.
During our wedding, I felt they did an excellent job, was respectful and always asked if there was anything else that we needed, and had good work ethic with the other vendors, and we had no issues with the sound system.
I would recommend hiring Denon & Doyle for any wedding or special event. They got the dance floor moving for sure!
