Taco Delite West

Taco «D» (Delite) has the best taco’s in Plano, and probably DFW. They are always fresh and served by a fast and courteous staff. Prices are also very reasonable. My wife and I drive out of our way to eat at Taco ‘D’. MUCH BETTER than those national chains.

Love love this place!!! Super clean, great fresh fast food and very nice employees:). I eat here almost every week. It’s one of my favorites in that part of Plano!

Don’t let the inexpensive prices fool you, this place is quality. Great food, great service. I’ll be back soon for sure.

Love it! Everything tastes fresh and the meat isn’t grease soaked, turning your crunchy taco into a soggy meat envelope! I could drink the salsa straight out. Good luck on that hard right angle in the drive through line though! Go taco!

Absolutely great, tacos are flavorful and not greasy, enchiladas are good, rice is flavorful. Yet cost is close to taco bell with a tenfold upgrade in food quality. They seem to do most of their business during lunch and through the drive-​thru, much of the day it can be fairly empty inside. You can get a big, quality meal for under $ 5 easily.

I have eaten at the Wylie location many many times and it was great. I was happy to see this location in Plano near where I recently moved. I tried it and I must say the Wylie location is way better. I ordered a bean burrito and the beans were not even hot enough to melt the cheese. The crispy shells became soggy very fast on my chicken tacos. We ordered 3 drinks and got charged for 4. Maybe my expectations were a little too high because of the other location but I would definitely not recommend.

Fast food Tex-​Mex, yes it is, but so far beyond Taco Bell or even Bueno that there should be a different category.
I had the taco plate, 2 crispy tacos, rice, beans and some chips and sauce. Add a large drink and for less than $ 8 that’s lunch. That was 4 hours ago and I am still full. The meat is very flavorful, and not dripping in sauce, or grease. The tacos were nicely dressed with lettuce and a lot of shredded cheese. The rice is nearly white in color, but packed full of flavor, and the refried beans were delicious as well. The few unmelted shreds of cheese on top did not reflect the nice amount of melted cheese in the beans. The chips and sauce were fresh and delicious. I will be returning here often. The peach tea is a nice note with the Mexican flavors.

This is my favorite go-​to for a very tasty lunch or dinner that doesn’t cost too much! The food is consistently fresh and yummy. I love their special Taco Delite, the bean and cheese nachos (with grated cheese), tacos, salads, tamales and everyhting I have tried. I’m a creature of habit so don’t change my order too much, but over the last 15 plus years — this has been a great place to go for a quick lunch! I always see people I know. Javier is the best and he has a great, loyal staff! Love the soft ice and Peach Tea! Thanks guys for always being there!

As far as Mexican «fast-​food «places are concerned, this place beats all the other places, hands down! It is delicious, flavorful, cheap, and a friendly staff that makes your food quickly. I had the crispy taco platter (two beef tacos, delicious, flavorful rice and refried beans), and a crispy, beef tostada with refried beans, beef, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. Wonderful!
To make my visit even more «delightful = (no pun intended) and pleasurable, at the Soda Fountain Drink Station, they have «shaved — ice, «just like the good ice at Sonic !

Don’t be fooled by the super casual environment — this is delicious Tex Mex food. Truly — these might be the best crunchy beef tacos in the DFW area — order them with guacamole (which is super fresh!), and be surprised at the quality of the corn tortillas and the shredded cheese. The salads are absolutely delicious, and the rice and beans are always fresh tasting.
The bean nachos are also extra wonderful, but only if you are eating in. We’ve ordered them to-​go through the drive-​thru before, and by the time we get home the chips have gotten soggy.
Two other things I’ve noticed — this place is super clean. You can see the entire kitchen while you’re ordering, and everything sparkles. The restrooms, floors, and tables are also always clean. And the staff here is super friendly. I’ve been stopping by Taco Delite for probably 4 – 5 years, and the same employees have been there for that long. Always nice to see a friendly face.

Cheese nachos with jalapenos…*DROOOL* The nacho cheese here is amazing! I also like their fresh salsa. You can even buy the sauces separately which is great for parties. My usual meal is two crispy beef tacos with an order of cheese nachos with LOTS of salsa and jalapenos. Love this place!

Taco Delite has always been a family favorite! I remember going here on friday nights with my mom. We would each get a famous Taco Burger and split a taco! YUM YUM I would be so excited. We visited Taco Delite on Saturday and it was just as i remember! The owner of this restaurant is very nice, cheerful and always hospitable. The best location for food and service!

growing up in plano, i used to love this place. its proximity to my high school and also to where i took driver’s ed meant i came here quite often.
my favorite was always the beef taco. i loved the combination of the spices they used and that it was always hot. i thought it was real beef, but i thought the same about taco bell too, so who knows.
i went back this weekend and am sad to say it doesn’t taste as good as i remembered. it tasted the same, but it didn’t pop in the same way it used to if that makes sense. separation makes the heart grow fonder but maybe it also makes your memories *please excuse this next word…* vivider.

I have never — ever been disappointed.
The food is made of quality ingredients.
The restaurants are always clean and they are not afraid to show you their health reports.
One of the true tests of any good restaurant, even a fast-​food restaurant, is the employee turnover — At this location and others, I have been seeing the same people forever. I’ve seen some of them go from taco maker to manager!

When it comes to fast Mexican food, Taco Delite can’t be beat. I’ve been eating at this particular branch (which I can only assume is the original), on and off, for about 20 years.
While the «meat» moniker on their menu (as opposed to «beef») may be somewhat off-​putting, the meat burritos and meat tacos are wonderful, especially with some of their fresh pico de gallo.
Taco Delite has friendly staff, a clean and bright dining area, and plenty of tables and chairs. It’s a simple feat to fill yourself for under $ 5, but don’t try it on Sunday: they’re closed.

I’m not a big eater of fast food anymore, but this is one of the few places I don’t mind going to if fast food is all I have time for. It serves Mexican, as you’d expect, but the food is a step up from what you’ll find other places. You don’t feel like you are questioning the origin of the meat in your taco, or if the cheese really came from milk. The food stands on it’s own without having to be disguised by piles of sauce. I normally get the basic tacos. The burritos and salads are good. The fajita burrito is excellent. Just meat and cheese, but such great flavor. It’s a little more expensive then the Taco Bell standby but worth every cent.
