Based on other reviews, this place might be good for training, but DO NOT BOARD YOUR PET HERE. Just four nights, and now my dog has severe kennel cough, which is apparently a trend here based on other reviews. I should have known when we walked in, and the place smelled of urine and feces, that it wasn’t the best option. If your pets are family, don’t leave them here.

This place is horrible. Due to a family emergency we had to find a last minute place to take our dog for the week. We read on Unilocal that K9 had good reviews so we figured we’d check it out. We should have known that they weren’t the best option when they didn’t offer to let us look around at what would be our dogs living quarters for the next week. When we went to pick him up he was «given a bath» which was literally him being hosed down, there was no scrubbing because he had feces stuck to him (which made us question if he was living in his own filth all week) and he had a bad case of kennel cough. When they returned him to us, after his «bath», they returned him wet and shaking. Do not take your pet here, they clearly don’t care about taking care of animals properly.

We LOVE K-​9. Our German Shepherd has been through their obedience school, attends day care and this is the ONLY place we will board her. David, Lucas, and the rest of the staff are so friendly & professional. There is no place else we trust our dog to more.

The entire staff cares about all the dogs in their care. My dog is in the training program and has boarded at K9 University. She is excited every time we walk-​in which is a miracle because at prior kennels she would act terrified! I am so glad I have a place she likes that we can trust. Thanks to K9 University she has some doggie manners now with their training!

Our dog loves to go to school (day care) at K-​9 University. We ask her if she «wants to go to school?» and immediately she will run over and sit down where her leash is hanging on the wall, look up at it and start whining. Once we had to take a different route there do to road construction and she was very concerned and more whining as we were not going the right way. We also have used the grooming and boarding services at K-​9 University and are very happy with both. Our dog also participated in the boarding and training and came out smarter and more accomplished. The instructors /​staff are professional and more importantly the love our dog, which is really more than we could ask for.
