Discount Tire Store – Plano, TX

If you want to purchase an item that you don’t need them to install, they require a debit card or cash, and not a credit card. Because of fraud. I don’t know how or why someone would commit fraud on $ 50 worth of car parts, but that’s their «policy».
They also had to go out and check my license plate and put that in the system. For $ 50 car part that they weren’t installing. Because, you know, fraud. What?
Inane policy. Not shown anywhere including in the fine print on their website. And the manager couldn’t care less. Not the type of place I would want to bring my car in the future.

Came in here to replace all four tires — I made an appointment online, and when I arrived, they helped me right away. It didn’t take very long to replace my tire, and everyone was friendly. I had one small issue, and Carrie assisted me to take care of it. Overall, no complaints!

Went to get new tires. Service was excellent, even though it was raining and I came literally 15mins before they closed, they gladly helped me out.
There was a issue with the tires I got. It was wasn’t really anyone’s fault, only after rolling on them a while did the issue arise. I called Discount Tire, Patrick the employee who helped me out initially, immediately set out to make it right. Now not even a week later, he got the right tires ordered and had me on my way. I really appreciate Patrick taking care of me, throughout the whole process, there was never a hint of animosity, all he wanted was to make it right. Mistakes are made by everyone, but how you handle it is the mark of great customer service. Patrick you rock and I know where to go for all my tire/​rim needs! Thanks guys!

The wait here is always ridiculous and I get it. They get busy. But when you make a 4:30 appointment for a rotation and a patch it shouldn’t be 6:30 when you leave. No one seemed to care though. So I will find a different place next time.

When I am told it would take an hour & ½ to replace my tires I would expect my car to be in the bay well before an hour and 45 minutes. I was also told one would need to be changed soon but it wasn’t quite there so to replace it would cost more. That is frustrating and means yet another trip back in a couple of weeks. I’m alway disappointed that my tires don’t even last a year… I’m always replacing and it just doesn’t seem like I’m being sold good quality tires.

Great service quick response and the people knew their business. No charge to inspect tire. This is my 3^rd visit here all have been awesome.

I visited this location to have my tire replaced after I hit a curb. The rim 5was a little bent.

Great customer service. Luke was friendly and got the job done quick. The others did as well. They open at 8am and had a line at the door. Knocked out 7 people within the first 20 minutes along with mine.

We had a car towed to this store due to a flat. We got a call from a friendly employee who used reassuring words like «let see what we can do for you» and how we can help you out.
He kindly researched to see if we had protect, alas we didn’t.
He then proceeded to tell us that a new tire would be $ 150.
My husband asked what is wrong with the tire.
He replied with «its flat».
We refrained from replying with «duh». Because after all that is why we had it towed.
He then let us know they havent even inspected the tire yet.
My husband insisted they see what is wrong with it. If it’s of now would be a much deeper fix than a brand-​new tire.
When I got to the shop the car was still in the parking lot. It hadn’t been looked at yet.
When they finally did look at itit was a mail that had punctured the tire. So they fixed it, free of charge.
My biggest qualm with them is that they were ready to sell us a new tire without first saying what was wrong with the first tire.

The weekends are crazy packed try and come during the week and they are quick and honest.

TERRIBLE «talked at «treatment, Lies! Unorganized, Mgr (who takes your $ at the end…) verbally Lies/​types wrong damage reason on invoice * does not correct it. Makes excuses «too late to see it.”(stupid customer) & reluctant to show my orig. damaged tire when I demand to see it. (hiding something…) He put «side pierce» I demanded to see my damaged tire-​he reluctantly got it – it had CLEAN nail hole in tread! It could have been plugged! If you question anything or want to see YOUR tire, you get attitude. No options– but what DT want you to pay for. No up-​front quotes or sincerity. Go elsewhere!

Great service. Fair prices. Immaculate record keeping. Always refer to past purchases on warranty and fair trade-​in values. I take 4 cars there. I continue to go here.

Overall, I like this place and will continue to use it. The warranty on their tires is definitely worth it, however, I’m very irritated with my service today.
I waited in line for a good 10 – 15 minutes just to talk to someone. The nice guy behind the counter apologized for the wait twice to which I replied «no worries». They were obviously busy. But then when it’s finally my turn, the phone rings. I wouldn’t have minded him answering and asking the customer to hold, but he proceeded to talk to him for another 5 minutes.
During their conversation he offers to make the guy an appointment, says that they aren’t too busy today, that service shouldn’t take longer than 45min. When the service guy hung up, he apologized to me again for the wait. I told him that I don’t mind waiting in line in the store, but I do mind waiting while you attend to the person on the phone. Had it been longer, I would’ve walked out. Nearly 20 min just to talk to someone it ridiculous.
Then he tells me it will be at least an hour to get my tires rotated. Um, you just told the person on the phone 20min.
Again, this is not the typical service experience I have here, and the tire rotation was free. Also, waiting room isn’t bad and they have a cooler of free bottled water.

These guys are quick and efficient. The appear to pride themselves on their service. I will defiantly be back.

I have been coming here over the past 3 years to get my tires replaced and or serviced. They are extremely efficient in their service and have a high focus on customer service. Even with a crowd their service runs smoothly and efficiently. Highly recommend.

I’ll tell you what… tires are NOT cheap, LAAAAAAAWD! BUT, I’d much rather be safe than sorry, SMH. I came in around noon, I think I beat the lunch crowd. Sam helped me out, pretty cool guy, very friendly, told me ALL of my options. All of the workers here make sure to reassure you that they’ll be with you as soon as they can, especially when they’re busy. I come to this location all the time and I’m always taken care of.

Always a great experience here. I do wish they were open on sundays.
I can always trust discount tire to do a great job and it’s nice it’s next to my workplace.
I had a flat that day and they were able to help me within a couple of minutes. They got the right tires. They had told me 45 minutes to complete. They ended up finishing within 30 minutes!

I had a friend visit from out of town who had a slow leak in her tire. We arrived on a Saturday and it was a 30 min fix and FREE! Such great customer service! Will be back if I ever have any issues

I have been driving for 38 years, never in my life I have encountered a better place for tire service. Great personnel, no charge for a tire repair. Do not go any place else.

I cannot rave about this location enough! I came out to a flat tire on my way to work. I got there before they opened, so there were only a few people in front of me. The gentleman who helped me was so friendly and professional, and was more concerned about seeing if the tire just needed repair. Unfortunately, it was damaged, but hey this stuff happens with cars. He was able to find an exact match, and I was out of there within 30 minutes.
Now this place is obviously pretty popular because the line formed fast. I was relieved to see all of the good reviews, and now I see why. One of the techs even took the time to point out that my car did not have a spare tire. Good to know. Apparently some manufacturers are not including them in newer model cars. Most of my co-​workers also say that they go to discount tire as well. I highly recommend them!

Competent, fast and comparatively cheap. What more could you want?
Oh, and they’re nice, too. More than once did they go ahead and check and re-​inflate my wife’s tires for free.
They even patched my tire for free once a few years ago even though I didn’t buy it from them. Smart move though, because since then we’ve been loyal customers.
