Classy Doggie Cuts

Great groomers! My dogs always get a really cute hair cut. They also get a good bath too. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I’ve taken my dogs here several times and I will continue to use Classy Doggie Cuts!

Had a great first experience! They took my dog chewie later than usual and they were great. Gave him a proper haircut and nail trim. Chewie looks great ! Loyal customer!

The 2 star rating is for the bad experience my dog (a 10 lb Shih-​Tzu mix) had at this groomers last month. Until then, I would have given a rating of 4 or 5 stars. I had been going to this grooming salon since before it changed hands and decided to give the new owners a try. I noticed that the male groomers could be rather rough and impatient when brushing the dogs out, so I always asked for a female. Last month I took my dog to be shampooed. There were no ladies working that day, but since it was only a shampoo, I decided to take a chance. About an hour after getting home, I noticed «Tizzy» was hiding under the bed and wouldn’t come out when called. I left her alone and she eventually came out to drink water. I lifted her and she cried out with such pain that she gagged. Her back end was rigid and shaking uncontrollably. My vet was closed, so I gave her an aspirin and she settled down but would not go near anyone for the remainder of the evening. Tizzy is ordinarily very affectionate and loves nothing better than to be on someone’s lap. The next day, she still cried out when being picked up, so I took her to my vet who diagnosed her with a sprained spine and put her on several meds. I have no way of knowing what happened; only that it had to have happened at the groomer. I will not be going back. I now go to Lucky Dog Grooming in Plano and find the owner, Roberto to be kind and considerate and determined to schedule clients so that none of his groomers feel rushed. His policy allows owners to walk through the whole facility and his web site reflects the effort he is making to have none of the harsh treatment he has witnessed in the past, occur in his salon.

Wow! That’s all I can say. They took awesome care of my girl. I have taken my dog to several groomers (including Legacy Groomers) here in Plano and back home in San Diego and this is the BEST experience yet! I always ask that they take extra care of her eyes since she is prone to infections and it’s like they do not even care to listen. Every single time she comes out, her eyes are barely open and red. Sometimes only one eye is open and she looks like she’s winking at me for days! That happened here last at a location in Plano, (ahem mentioned above) and they were packed with dogs and seemed to only care about doing a fast job. So I was more than thrilled to find a place where they ACTUALLY listen, are super courteous, efficient and reasonably priced. This WILL become my go to place for grooming. NICE work Classy Cuts :)

I take my Dobe Lex as often as I can to Classy Doggy Cuts, The best dog groomer in DFW! Everytime I arrive the staff is prompt and very courteous. Its so hard to trim Lex’s nails but they do it with ease. If you need a cut, bath, or nail clipping look no futher this is the place.

They are amazing!!! They do a great job and are really friendly!!! Love the great customer service!!!

The ONLY reason why I’m editing my first review is because the owner can’t stop calling me demanding me to delete it. I’m not going to delete it but I’ll edit it since he says my review gives people the wrong info. The owner called me everyday for more than a month straight demanding me to delete my review, threatening me and screaming at me. Horrible horrible place!!! Run away as far as you can.
We took our 8 year old golden retriever here 4 weeks ago to get a bath & hair cut. When we got there to pick him up, he was acting way different than when we dropped him off. He slowly came walking to us & laid on the floor. He was having a very difficult time breathing. We asked if they could bring us some water to give him & they didn’t have anything at all for that. How can a place where they offer a DOG SERVICE, HAVE NOTHING TO GIVE THEM WATER WITH??. Well the owner says they don’t have to provide them with water if the dog is there 2 hours or less. Our dog was there 3 hours.
They asked if he was really old because he had been acting shaky & weird. Well if they saw he was acting weird & couldn’t stand up on the grooming table they should of called us to let us know. He wasn’t sick when we dropped him off. When we picked him up, We couldn’t get up to get in the car so we had to carry him. We got him in the car & drove to the animal hospital. He passed away in the car on our way to the hospital… Not even 5 minutes had gone by.
I’m pretty positive he would still be alive if they would had called us when he started not feeling well. We might of been able to get to the hospital sooner. Instead they waited until they finished & until we got there to pick him up.
I do think they did something to cause his death in a way. I will never be 100% sure. I regret not testing him to find out why he exactly died. Maybe they gave him something to calm him down??. I don’t know.
two complains are that they didn’t call us when our dog wasn’t feeling well & they didn’t had anything to give him water with.

I have had some horror stories in the past with groomers. I did my homework and research on various groomers locally and found this groomer. I saw what great reviews that had received and deceided to take a chance. I couldn’t be happier to have selected this groomer for my maltipoo. Although the owners changed in the last couple years, I am still very happy with the staff and their talent. They are great at what they do in the time they do it in. My pup always comes back fresh and cleancut without any allergic reactions from shampoos/​maintenance products as well as without any nicks or cuts. I bring my maltipoo here monthly without question on their abilities and talents. Thank you,

I would highly recommend these groomers and have — to a close friend of mine. We have been to Classy Doggie Cuts twice now and could not be happier with the quality of grooming, customer service and the treatment of our schnauzers. Schnauzers can be a difficult cut and they have always come out exactly as we have asked. The employees are very friendly and the grooming is done in an open area where you can see them while they are doing their work. One of our pups is a very active puppy and their patience with him was incredible. In addition to the quality they are open 7 days a week and have set appointments so your pups don’t have to wait all day.

I would not recommend these groomers. They shaved my bichon down to his skin when I had requested a trim and shaping (reduce the thickness around the back of his neck). This happened 6 weeks ago and our dog still does not look like himself. There seemed to be a communication breakdown (language barrier). I was so upset that I refused to believe that the dog they had brought from the back was my adorable bichon. I do apologize for causing a scene and I raised my voice in distress over their poor grooming skills.

Ok, this is under new ownership since 3 months ago. It used to be Classy K9 Cuts, but they had to change the name to Classy Doggie Cuts (and they still have people come in to try to get their hair cut).
Hector was so nice greeting us on the phone and in person. They actually love animals. (so many places act like they are put out to deal with dogs). He got every request down on the computer… no perfume… boot cut the legs… puppy cut the faces… Eva K is right, Victor is great with the dogs.
They are eager to please and even asked if the cuts were how we wanted them to be. The boots were a little wide on the bottom, so Victor trimmed them on the spot. It wasn’t his fault, he did exactly what we had asked him to do, we just wanted them a little shorter so the leaves don’t get stuck in her paws.
We are glad to finally find a place that wants business, is grateful for you to come and treats the animals with love. I cannot tell you how rare that is, but we are spreading the word… I even signed up for Unilocal just to post my first review EVER!

I’ve taken my two cocker spaniels to this grooming facility for years (when it was under the previous ownership.) These five-​stars, however, are for the current owners, and more specifically, for Victor, who groomed my dog the other day. Thank you, Victor, for staying at Classy Doggie Cuts; you are an amazing stylist! So here’s what’s great… 1) The place has gotten a complete face-​lift; it looks and smells fresh and clean. 2) The customer service experience has greatly improved; calls for an appointment are welcomed and friendly, drop off and pick up are not rushed. Time is taken to ensure grooming instructions are received and later, that they were followed. 3) Service is FAST (although, this was always the case); my dogs are typically done (full cut and groom) in about 2 hours. I love that they’re not stuck in a cage for an entire day listening to the horrible sounds of other dogs barking and dryers blowing. Keep up the good work Classy Doggie Cuts!
