Bentley’s Dog Wash & Fine Grooming Spa

My dog absolutely HATES baths! I usually bath him on my driveway but in colder weather I take him to Bentley’s. The self service is like taking your car to a self serve car wash with its multiple settings (pre soak, wash, rinse, condition, dry). This past time, my dog decided to jump out of the bath even though he was tied to the wall and nearly strangling himself while crying out as if he had broken something. I was so shaken up! I got him back in the bath but not before one of the crew from the back room came running out to make sure we were okay. She helped me check my fur baby out and did her best at calming me down. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Cold water and cold air from the dryer. I’ll have to wait until it’s 100+ degrees to use the rest of my tokens… even then probably won’t go back. Terrible place, don’t make your dog suffer at this joint.

I thought this place was pretty cool. I think it may just be me and my dog but it wasn’t necessarily easier than being in my own home and giving her a bath. Still had a hard time keeping her near me and hurting my back to reach across and keep her from jumping off. She does smell greats and her fur is soft. Also, there was no one there to greet us so I wasn’t sure if I was doing everything right.

We tried Bentley’s today (self-​serve) based on Unilocal reviews, and we were very pleased with this setup. We typically just bath our dogs at home in the tub, which means they don’t get bathed nearly often enough since I hate the cleanup. This place was very clean, and the tub setup they had made it very easy. I like the coin /​token concept, because this way my price flexes. If I didn’t want to blow dry my dog, I don’t have to pay for the dryer. My slick haired dog will take much less than my fuzzier corgi. They do have two types of ties for your dog in the tub, and maybe I just didn’t know how to use it, but my dog wrangled his way out of one of them easily. However, there is also a tie that is more of a corded rope that should hold better and that’s what I’ll try next time. They also have nice aprons to use. You do need to bring your own towels for finishing, especially if you don’t use the available dryer.

Cool spot. They have do it yourself and also a grooming salon. Flexible hours. Good parking.

They have both human service to groom & a coin operated doggie wash for you to do yourself. I have only used the do it yourself doggie wash. You can bring quarters or use a card or paper money to exchange for tokens. It costs me $ 10 to wash & dry my small havanese dog. There are two height wash tubs depending on your hight & your dogs height. Aprons are available to wear. The tubs have a ramp for dogs to walk up themselves. The hose dispenses shampoo, conditioner, or just water depending on the switch. The dryer has 2 speeds depending on what your dog likes. After, there is a free dog treat for your pooch. I feel safe inside because there are workers on site.

This used to be my go to place, but it feels like the staff is not keeping up with keeping things clean. Not sure but I feel like they decreased number of stalls?

I wasn’t impressed with the «do it yourself» stations. There were no towels to dry my dog. Urban dog off Haskell for only $ 12 has a really nice set up and a Really helpful staff.

I love Bentley’s, their caring friendly staff has always been a great asset. I’ve had my standard poodle done there many, many times and I’ve always been very pleased with their grooming and handling of my big baby boy Dmitri.

We have 2 cocker spaniels (born Nov. 2012) and have used the grooming here since they have needed it. To date 3 or 4 times. We have not used the do it yourself washing and when we have been in no one was using them.
The groomer does a good job and our girls are ready within 2 hours. We have only had a minor issue under their front legs with mats not getting all the way out but I have told them and they are paying more attention.
They are competively priced for the grooming and do a great job.

Never used the grooming service. I think the primary draw here is the self service dog wash. The concept is great and I have used it several times w no issues. Think car wash… with the bays and coin operated water, and you’ve got the idea. It works great and no mess at home! My last visit, I experienced some problems w a machine and I noticed more left over hair in he tub… but I think those issues were minor and due to the age showing through. I recommend this place!

Just moved to the area from Seattle and was looking for a good groomer so jumped on Unilocal to check things out. Although I will say that the speed of the service was certainly fast (both of our guys were done in 2 hours!), the grooming was HORRIBLE. They shaved our terrier mix all the way to the skin on his front legs so that it ended up scabbing over. They also completely chopped his beard and eyebrows off. I’m sure it’s a great place if you are washing yourself but I would not recommend for grooming.

My first time going to this place and I have already fallen in love. The concept is genius and the business is absolutely perfect!!! I am 6 foot 2 and have a Frenchie and a Boston, along with a back problem. I cringe washing the boys because I am always guaranteed a back ache afterwards along with stiffness the next day. The fact that they nave talk tubs for taller ppl or shorter dogs allow for an easy maneuvering experience.
As said before, the concept is superb and the added satisfaction came with realizing I didn’t have to reach for the shampoo bottle while making sure no one bolts out of the tub; I just reached over and turned the dual and it came out diluted instantly. The shampoo made a really nice lather and was easy to rinse off my dogs cost.
Another thing I liked was the doggy conditioner, to which I have never tried before, which left my dogs cost silky smooth. The water temperature was like warm, not too hot not too cold, and states that way thru my visit. The spray hose also has apprx 5 settings and the «most» setting is perfect for washing the face as it doesn’t freak the pup out and cause them to go «ape».
All in all this was a fine experience and I will def be returning in the future. This business definitely gets my 5 star vote.
PS. Bring a towel, the blowers are great but my boys needed a light «pay down» with the towel afterwards and ESP behind those wombat ears of thiers.

I just picked up my cocker spaniel Heidi from the grooming spa at Bentley’s Dog Wash. She looks fabulous, and for a great price too. Heidi is a new addition to our family, so I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted her hair done. I just know it is hot out and she does tend to mat easily. Most of our dogs have had very short hair and simple maintenance. The groomer listened to me and gave great advice. They even recommended a grooming tool to use between visits to cut down on matting.
The best part was they had her done in a hour! That made both of us very happy.

Very pricey for the self service wash. No towels provided, so you have to pay for the air to get your dog dry. We had a Groupon to this place, but we won’t be back. The ‘car wash’ idea of continually putting tokens in to continue your wash just doesn’t work in my eyes.

Bentley’s Dog Wash is like one of those coin-​operated car wash places, except for dogs! The do-​it-​yourself service is such a great concept for owners that like to bathe their own dogs, but without dealing with the mess in their own homes. The place is kept immaculately clean, no dirty pet odor. I went on a Sunday evening and there was no one manning the shop, so it really was completely self-​serve.
There are 6 private bays with different heights for small, medium, and large dogs. Like the carwash dial, you just turn a knob on the side of the wall to select wash, shampoo, rinse, conditioner, and rinse, and then finally dry. One hose handles the water-​based selections (water, shampoo, conditioner) and another hose is for drying (two options for medium or high air blast). The shampoo and conditioner are «all natural, pH-​balanced, and vet approved» and come out diluted from the hose, making it easier to apply.
Upon entering, there are machines where you can purchase $ 1 tokens [credit cards accepted]. If you buy $ 10 worth, you get an extra token free (or 11 tokens). If you buy $ 20, you get 23 tokens. The machines take $ 4 to start and you can add additional tokens as necessary. Their website says the average cost is $ 6 – 10 for small dogs, $ 10 – 14 for medium dogs, and $ 14 – 20 for large dogs, depending on the thickness of your dog’s coat. I have a medium corgi and used $ 10 (or 11 tokens, since one was free). $ 10 spent here sure beats a completely wet bathroom and semi-​clogged shower drain at home.
It was only my first time and was still getting acquainted with the machinery — if I time it correctly next time, I think I could use 8 – 9 tokens and be done…4 tokens for wetting, shampoo, and rinsing. Apply a special anti-​itch conditioner that I bring in myself, which requires 10 minutes of wait time. Then 4 or 5 more tokens for rinse and dry.
Tips: Bring your own towel — this will reduce drying time (and $$). Also, be sure to bring an apron to keep dry.
