I got a small pineapple and mushroom pizza. There were a ton of toppings and everything tasted so good!

Great food in a clean family setting. Had the lasagna and meatballs and it was awesome!!! The ricotta mix is phenomenal.

The most fresh ingredients I’ve ever had on a pizza! And the customer service is second to none! Easily the best pizza in Fullerton/​brea/​Placentia area.

Been coming here for years. Best pizza & salad is so tasty. Service is always good. Garlic bread is so yummy. Beer is always cold.

We order a medium pizza and spaghetti with meat balls and free salad, they spaghetti was perfect one of the best I have had! The pizza was great I forgot to ask for thin crust but maybe next time.
This is now one of my favorite pizza places.

Oh god, the pizza is just amazing. Like the cheese is just so so creamy. I can’t tell you how much this place rocks.

Went here for dine in on a Thursday night, I will say they’re pizza was good! Got pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeño! Also TIP: the ranch costs extra but I’m giving 5 stars because the server gave us them for free! Awesome customer service + pizza! Would recommend

I wanted to find a place where Placentia locals rate high on their pizzerias. So, I found Gina Maria’s.
I wanted to see if they had any kind of specialty choices but unfortunately during the holidays they don’t have those to offer which is no big deal, I can settle with the basics.
I made two orders. Pepperoni pizza in Large 16″ and a Pineapple Canadian Bacon in Medium 14″. When I was runged up and was told my total, I was like «Wow» and that’s without any sides. I was driving home with the box of pizzas that smelled good and was hoping my $ 40 bucks is worth the price. But hey, I couldn’t wait to get home and feed a party of eleven.
The pizzas were okay. I really thought the pepperoni would do it for me but nothing too special, the same goes with the Canadian bacon, the pineapples were good and not soggy and there was a decent amount on cheese on both pies.
What I liked about them, they stayed true to their size, it’s thick and doughy. But for the taste, they were bland and it lacked sauce. Although, I did taste some sweetness on the bottom part of the pizza crust, which may come from the spread.
I would give this place another shot to try out their pasta dishes and if or when they have specialties available for pizzas. This joint is a good place to dine-​in and its spacious for large parties. There’s a few arcade machines inside that may keep you busy while you wait for your order. Service is good, the cashier was personable and friendly.

Super solid pizza! I can see why it’s easily one of the best in town. My family ordered a large «supreme» of sorts, which came generously loaded with a ton of toppings. The crust was just the right thickness — not deep dish style, but not your typical pan either. I easily got full off of just two slices, although I definitely could have eaten more because the pizza is THAT good. I know a lot of people compare this place to Tony’s, but it’s honestly way different and in a league of its own. I would probably crave this place more often, simply because Tony’s can be a little too dense and heavy sometimes, even though it’s also delicious in it’s own unique way. We also tried the wings and salad here. The wings were definitely good, although they were wet — and I prefer my wings to have more of a dry rub seasoning, but that’s just me. The salad was very plain and definitely not worth the money, but then again I don’t think pizzerias are meant to be very «healthy,» so maybe there’s a reason why the salad falls flat, while the rest of the more junky food soars! ;)

I’ve driven by Gina Maria’s pizza many times.
And I’ve had a couple slices and some antipasto salad at a party quite a while ago and then had a chance to give ‘em the Full Monty try when I picked up some pizzas to eat at my buddy Dave G’s house.
A pretty no frills place that’s family run. A decent sized place with an 80’s décor, an old flat screen
The smell inside was incredible. I want my casket to smell like this so I can die happy. They also have other Italian dishes, sammys, salads, and a small beer and wine selection too.

who run the place when I came to pick up our pies.
We ordered two pies to go. A standard pepperoni for the kids
and a pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and onion pie for us big kids.
While I’m a fan of Tony’s up the street. I won’t bother making a comparison. It’s apples to oranges. This ain’t Chicago deep dish its NY style.
Ok for starters Gina Maria’s uses some quality ingredients any pizza head will spot this. The two pizzas were both topped with good stuff. I really liked the sausage and the sauce. The sausage is a spicier version than most joints and the sauce was sweet and flavorful. But the crust was a little unimaginative. Like Dave says in his review a little more doughy than I’d expect for a NY style pie and kind of bland like Domino’s or Papa John’s. Still the ingredients on top hold their own. Except the onions I’m not a fan as I feel they overwhelm a pizzas taste much like black olives. But that’s just my own personal taste.
Would I go back? Sure I need to try a few more but won’t go out of my way.

Really Good Pizza. Casual dining. We ordered a green salad and it came with cheese, olives, tomato, fresh crisp lettuce. We also got a sausage mushroom pizza. The sausage was a medium spicy sweet and the mushrooms were fresh, and oh so cheesy. The crust is the bomb, it’s Krispy on the outside and soft inside. We will defiantly come again.

The pizza is delicious! Really yummy crust and cheese and they use just the right amount of sauce. Be warned– the slices are HUGE, which is always a plus in my book. You can just taste all the love they put into every slice. I will definitely be back!

Service is great, but not a big fan of thick crust pizzas. Pizzas are fresh and if you are into thick crust pizzas, you should check this place out.
Don’t come if you like thin crust pizzas.

This place has been around for as long as I can remember and I’m so glad it still is! Total mom and pop pizzeria with great food! I’ve tried their spaghetti and meatballs, raviolis, pizza, garlic bread and everything has been really good, I don’t live in the area anymore but when we had an inkling for Italian I knew just where to go to satisfy the craving and as always they didn’t disappoint.

As most of you know, good traditional pizza is hard to find in SoCal. So often people rave about this place or that place and I’m left unimpressed. I do think Gina Maria’s 4.5 star rating is a little high, thus if you travel far for it, you may be disappointed.
To me it’s ¾th of a good pizza. Good cheese, sauce, and toppings. But the crust is just as boring as Papa John’s, Dominoes, or any of the medium thick doughy crusts out there that generally just hold everything on top of it. Of course that’s where any comparisons end with chain pizza joints, this pie is way higher quality than that garbage. And I totally believe them when they say the dough is made fresh daily. It’s just missing something… NY water maybe?
With the rightfully famous Tony’s Little Italy just a half a block away, there are going to be comparisons. It’s no different than trying to decide between Pat’s or Geno’s Cheesesteaks in Philly. In fact one of the first times I came in Gina Maria’s, I made the mistake of mentioning Tony’s and got an earful of «they don’t know what they are doing… blah blah blah.» To quote Col Andy Tanner from Red Dawn when asked what stared the war between the USA and USSR — «I don’t know. Two toughest kids on the block, I guess. Sooner or later, they’re gonna fight.»
Well they don’t have to. Tony’s doesn’t make a very good thin crust pie and I prefer Gina Maria’s to theirs. Gina Maria’s doesn’t even have a deep dish pie on the menu. As far as I’m concerned thin crust and Chicago Deep Dish are two different food groups. Which I tried to point out to them, but they couldn’t admit there was anything good about Tony’s, which kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
Gina Maria’s can stand on their own. I love the sausage on their pizza it’s nice and spicy. The toppings are stacked up high so don’t over order toppings unless you don’t want to see any of that gooey rich melted mozzarella I pretty much always get Pepperoni, Sausage, and Mushroom. Onions and green peppers tend not to get cooked enough and can be a little crunchy on the pie. They have an impressive amount of different sizes they’ll make your pizza. 8″, 10″, 12″, 14″, 16″, 18″. No slices here, just get a little personal freshly made 8″ or 10″. Topping prices are also well thought out depending on size of pizza and how many toppings. Which makes sense because to add a 6^th topping to a 5 topping pizza, how much room is there really? But most places don’t take the time to do that and you pay the same no matter what. You hear me Grimaldi’s — I’m talking to you!
As far as other dishes on the menu, it’s mostly pizza for me. I tried a meatball sub way back when and don’t remember enough about it to comment, but there is most likely a reason I didn’t order one again. I’m guessing it was just ok, because if it was bad, I’d remember that too. Just a faded 3 star memory I guess.
So if you are in the neighborhood and don’t want a 200 lb brick of deep dish pizza from Tony’s in your belly, Gina Maria’s is definitely your spot for a good pizza. Friendly people too, just don’t mention that other place… yikes!

Finding a pizza joint is easy. Finding a good pizza joint proves more of a challenge. Thankfully Gina Marie’s is a good pizza joint.
This place is located in a little strip mall not too far from the 57 freeway and is your typical hole in the wall type of place. The interior is nice enough w/​a tv and some booth seating. On the far right as you first enter they have a couple arcade games but they are not plugged in. I actually think this is a good thing as they appear to be going for more of a fancy Italian restaurant vibe as opposed to the family style pizza parlor. Honestly, if that is what they’re going for they should probably just remove those machines completely as their lifeless screens attract unneeded attention.
They have a Unilocal check-​in offer for one free topping when ordering a pizza, so pizza we did get. We ordered a large pizza with chicken, olives, pepperoni, and sausage. The pizza was a lot larger than I had anticipated and was tasty. Toppings were plentiful enough but the crust could use some work IMO– perhaps cooked w/​some herbs or seasonings or brushed w/​garlic butter perhaps. We also ordered the large dinner salad to share and that was perfect for two people.
Service was decent; no one was rude but no one was smiling or seemed happy either. They have restrooms in the back which were clean, but they had all their cleaning products stored in the restroom which is a no-​no at my work. They offer a limited selection of beer and wine, however their wine is Peter Vella which they pour into a decanter and then serve, so if you don’t mind boxed wine than no worries. They also offer some pasta dishes and sandwiches and I have heard/​read that their meatballs are really good, so I’ll have to try them sometime in the future.
This place looked pretty popular as a takeout option but I thought it was just fine dining in. The pizza was good and I would return.

This is a local no frills mom & pop pizzaria that serves up pizza pies like I used to remember before the Neapolitan wave arrived. The crust is thicker and doughier, the kind where you would be comfortable eating with your fingers and lifting a slice without as much fear of dropping every ingredient on the face of your slice. Ingredients are fresh and well portioned, the mozzarella is nice and evenly distributed and melted. Pizzas like this I grew up on and we used to call this NY style and was the predominant style back in the day…
The owner is extremely nice. He offered me a card which is the equivalent of a lifetime coupon card where the price is immune to inflation (e.g. XL-​18″ 2 topping for $ 17.59 unlimited # of pizzas whereas the regular price of the same pizza is now $ 20.95…)
My only reservation is that there was only one other person eating in the whole place on a Wednesday at lunchtime, and when we tried to come at the same time on Monday the doors were locked. The place is very clean but on first impression they don’t look like they’re getting too much business…
