Specialties

My ceremonies always fit the couple. Religious or non-religious or somewhere in between – I’m flexible and accommodating with suggestions on how to accomplish exactly what a couple is looking for. It often happens that the bride and groom are not religious but key people on the first row are. I have helpful suggestions for that.

I’m experienced in Jewish, Jewish-Christian, Catholic-Protestant, Persian and Muslim ceremonies. Consultation is, of course, free. By phone or in person. A sample ceremony starts the process. Pre-marital counseling is available upon request (but not required).

Tall and fit (6’3″). Never a ceremony missed due to illness or emergency. Flawlessly on time, even given Bay Area traffic.

My range extends from Carmel/Monterey to Sacramento and the Sierra Foothills. San Francisco, peninsula, the Napa and Sonoma wine country, Marin, the coast, the Delta, the East Bay, Pleasanton-Livermore, the South Bay, Santa Cruz. I go everywhere. Whether it’s a country club or your own backyard, I’m happy to help and happy to be there.

I’m excellent at consultation and wedding planning. With experience at 700 Bay Area venues and working weekly with caterers, coordinators, musicians, photographers and DJs, wedding planning is a natural extension of my job. I also have history in the catering business plus was a bar tender and bouncer in a previous life. There are many ways I can help make your wedding day perfect.

History

Established in 1988.

Years ago as a church pastor who also worked in the wine industry I was asked to officiate weddings. My 1st ceremony was at V Sattui. Over the years I developed a style based on my personality but also a discernment of what makes a ceremony really work, that is, holds the attention of the guests and engages them emotionally. The result is couples and their guests know I’m genuine (I’m often asked «What are you, an old friend of the family?») and the ceremony is an emotional event in the best sense: laughter and tears, casual and sacred, full of the couples’ personality while also having the cadence and beauty of tradition.

Meet the Business Owner

Reverend Tim Mills M.

Business Owner

I’m an ordained pastor, teacher & addiction counselor. All volunteer (weddings allow this luxury), at local churches, county jails and rehab ministries in the East Bay. My passion is for the lost men of the «gangland» culture, lives broken by years of violence, rejection, substance abuse.

My education and work history are multi-denominational (Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal); «non-denominational» is the best word for me. I learned Hebrew in grad school but also as a volunteer on an Israeli kibbutz. The result, a love for all things Jewish and fluency in old Hebrew.

Guests can see that I enjoy weddings. My officiating skills have developed nicely over the years. That adds to the enjoyment. I also love people, so entering briefly into a couple’s life at the juncture of engagement and wedding ceremony never gets old. 3 decades, 2200 weddings and I’m still a sucker for a love story. And the moment when daddy walks his daughter in … don’t even get me started.
