If you’re lucky enough to be within the service coverage area of Barefoot Pools, look no further! I’m a first time pool owner and called Barefoot Pools because of their reviews here on Unilocal.Brandon spoke to me for over 30 minutes educating me on everything I needed to know pool related before I even signed on as a customer.
He sent out a top notch crew with Juan as lead and they drained and acid washed my pool leaving it looking awesome. I had them replace a pop-​up i though was broken (stuck in the up position) but Juan found it was just obstructed by some debris and saved me $ 70 on the replacement part!
In a day and age where information travels laser quick it’s important for businesses to provide real value in their offerings otherwise people (more importantly Unilocalers) know it!

I do not typically write online reviews but Barefoot Pools went above and beyond on the remodel of our pool. Jose and Chad were great at explaining all of the different options and had readily available answers for any questions we had for them. They stuck true to their quote and their follow through on dates and expectations was incredible. We just moved into a new home with a Pentair Easytouch 8 system. We had no idea what to do with it so we called Barefoot Pools and Chad came to our house within two days. Not only was he friendly, helpful, and clear, he seriously is one of the most knowledgable people I’ve ever met. I am so glad we called and I’ll definitely be calling them again. Thanks Chad!

Barefoot pools did a Fantastic job from start to finish on my pump replacement (Old pump upgraded to a variable). I couldn’t be happier with the finished product and the work done by Katt on the installation. Brandon was great to work with and provided a quick quote and scheduled us in just a few days as our current pump was dead. I plan on having my pool drained and possibly some other improvements and i will be using Barefoot for sure on our next project. Katt ran into an issue with the pipe going to the filter and Barefoot was great about that issue which had nothing to do with their pump replacement. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ — would pool pump again.

Very happy with the work performed by Barefoot Pools. I needed a new filter and Chad was great to work with on the quote and scheduling of the installation. The crew that came out were professional and did a great job. I especially appreciate them being very clean and not leaving a bunch of stuff laying around. They also hauled away the sand from the old filter. The last company I used just threw the sand around the filter.
I will definitely be calling Barefoot Pools and Chad again when I need additional services for my pool!

These guys were the best! They assisted in things that they could of easily said no to. Chad is great when dealing with customers! Juan and Milton came out to replace my old sand filter. They did an excellent job and were very helpful over the phone dealing with any questions I had for them. Even when it had nothing to do with their work. we couldn’t be more impressed with the complete pool remodel for one of our rentals done by Jose Garcia, Chad and their team at Barefoot Pools… All new equipment (heater, filter, blower, valves, pipes, lights) and new deck, tile, and pool surface, plus removing the roll beam and replacing with travertine. I called to get a few quotes since our current company is not doing great. I spoke to Brandon over the phone and he gave me such great knowledgeable advice. You could tell he knew his stuff and he had no problem helping me over the phone even though I wasn’t his customer. I am now in the process of switching to their service because of their professionalism and expertise.

Barefoot Pools just completed a remodel of our 25 year old pool in the Ahwatukee Custom Estates neighborhood. Chad showed up on time for the initial estimate and when he left I had the complete quote with a number of options I requested to review.
I visited their new store, met with Jose, and after discussing the project decided to schedule the work. Our scope was to demo plaster, install new quartz plaster, edge and step tile, diving board, light, and general fittings replaced.
Even though we started this during Barefoot’s busy season, the work was done when they said it would be and even allowed extra time for us to choose tile. (tile selection was the hardest part of this process)
Jose was good about communication throughout the project and was always there to answer my questions. The crew was quick and did a good job of cleaning up after. Jose visited the project a few times and spend as much time as I needed getting it started back up and explaining what I needed to do in the next few weeks.
I would definitely hire Jose, and his team, again and recommend them to others needing pool work.
We have been enjoying swims every day, and I am very pleased with how easy it is to maintain basically a new pool again.

Shame shame. I’ve been with barefoot pools for well over a year and I’ve never had a problem until a few months ago. I had noticed a new pool cleaner was coming out every few weeks and had thought nothing of it because the pool still looked great, but then one day it didn’t. In fact, it looked like someone showed up for 5 minutes and cleaned a few leaves out of the pool and left. There was still dirt at the bottom and on the stairs and overall it looked really bad. This continued for a total of about a month and I confronted the pool cleaner about it, to which he replied that a lot of wind was blowing things into my pool. I pointed to the trees to show him there was no wind and no way (in this particular instance) that this happened. Ultimately, I requested someone else to come service my property and they kept sending the same person. Oh, but I was told he was now being supervised which is why the pool looks better. If you have to supervise an employee to make sure they do their job then they shouldn’t be working with your customers or with your company. PERIOD.
I finally decided to leave barefoot pools today, after speaking with the manager, Brandon. I simply asked for the month to be comped and to ensure the job was done correctly moving forward and he said he would only comp 2-​weeks of service. Personally, I think if someone has been a long time customer and they are upset that you do what it takes to make them happy, especially when it simply involves righting a very wrong month of service. Sadly, I was told my request couldn’t be met and «Barefoot pools just isn’t a good fit for me».
Can’t remember the last time a company showed such little regard for their customer relationships, or how they speak to customers. I’ll sure miss the good times.

After 3 months of a green pool and not being able to reach a person at my old pool company who kept invoicing even though I don’t think they were showing up, I googled and found Barefoot Pools. They are doing everything right with customer service, they leave a card with their time of service, they send pics of your pool, they are personable and their prices are right in line with other companies. I’ve had dealings with Chad, Brandon, Jeremy and Sherry and they have all had the same fantastic «can do» attitude! I’ve texted Brandon with questions to which he has always replied. I just feel confident that I have the right team to help me enjoy my pool this year! Thanks guys! You get three thumbs up!

Beware: our experience with them has been spotty. It takes several days to a week for them to respond to service requests. The route coordinator we have dealt with is often rude on the phone and acts like they are just «too busy» to work with us and that other customers are a priority. They recently installed a pool light that stopped working within a few days, but they have ignored our requests to return and look at it (it has been over a week since we first contacted them about the pool light they installed suddenly malfunctioned). Additionally, they over-​quoted us for monthly pool service and had the audacity to blame our trees. My advice: find a company who treats all of their customers fairly and responds in a timely manner!

I hired Barefoot pools to drain and clean my pool. Before the appointment date, my pool pump started leaking. Turned out my pump was broken and had to be replaced.
Jeremy who drained and cleaned my pool was professional and did a great job. He was thorough in his work.
Juan who helped with my pump replacement was great as well. He was very patient with all my questions and took care of the pump.
Chad was the initial contact person and he as well was professional.
All in all, if you are looking for someone to take care of your pool, they are the best!

Jose and Chad at Barefoot pools are simply wonderful. My pool remodel in Ahwatukee this past January came out great. Their customer service is amazing… they went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the completed project.

Barefoot Pools just got done renovating our 1990 pool. Jose and his crew took an outdated pool and made it into a desert oasis in about 11 days! The crew was efficient, professional, and did a great job cleaning up after the project was done. Jose kept us informed every step of the way and the crew showed up when they were suppose to show up. We decided to have the deck redone in travertine and it looks amazing! We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Barefoot Pools and would highly recommend them to anyone considering any work on their pools!

I recently purchased a home with a 30 year old pool. Barefoot came out during my inspection period and gave me an overview of the pool condition. I hired them to install a variable speed pump, new cartridge filter, and covert to a salt water chlorination system. Chad was quick to respond to all my questions before and after the install. Juan did a great job with the install and was very friendly and knowledgable about the new equipment and the install. He kept my wife informed throughout the install and was able to hunt down a pesky leak the previous owner told me about. Overall great customer service and will definitely use Barefoot again and recommend them to others.
