I used this company last min as my air stopped working and they came the same day and were super fast and great prices. Kurt Howard and the crew did a fantastic job at figuring out the problem and fixing it same day. I’ll definitely use Ace for all my air needs in all my homes in the future.

This company called me and talked me in to having them come service my 2 air conditioning units for a «super duper» low price, including a little bit of freon to be added to both of the units. I agreed even though the previous service they provided for me was sub-​par. Well, the appointment was scheduled for today and the appointment time came and went. I waited and waited long after the scheduled time and finally called them. The girl that answered the phone told me that they have had too many phone calls today, so they are servicing the customers that call in today rather than servicing the customers that have appointments. She had the nerve to tell me that I needed to re-​schedule. So, it apparently NEVER crossed their professional-​minds, that possibly they should call me, at any given time to let me know that they were not going to commit to their previously scheduled appointment they had arranged with me. CLEARLY they are too busy for THIS customer. There are plenty of ACTUAL professional companies that appreciate their customers. I’ll call one of them. Please remove me from your call list. I don’t want to EVER do business with your company again. Thank you for wasting my time on this Saturday. I should have took the time to read their reviews prior to committing.

Good service and they even replaced some parts that were under warranty, saving me several hundred dollars. Sky and Kyle came out and did a full inspection and were very professional.

They are not a service company, but rather a let-me-sell-you-something-you-don’t-need «service» company. They sent a «technician» (sales person) to «inspect» and «tune up» my furnace, but his real purpose was to come in my home and sell me a new unit. He kept saying: «this will take a while,» basically wanting me to go to the other room and not watch him pretend like he’s doing something. I insisted on staying and watching what he was doing (didn’t trust him for a second alone), which made him extremely uncomfortable. All he ended up doing was measure voltage coming into the furnace and concluding that the furnace is too old and needed to be replaced with the new model. I asked him what was wrong with the furnace, he started stuttering about some parts being old and how they are «not reliable» and what not. I asked him again — what is wrong with the furnace? He became irritated and basically said nothing, it’s just old.
Basically, the entire purpose of him coming to my home was to sell me a $ 2800 furnace, which I can buy for $ 700 and have someone install it for $ 500. So I asked him to give me a price break down for the $ 2800 furnace, to which he replied: «We don’t do price break downs.» Of course you don’t, because you would have to explain why you would be charging me $ 2100 for 2 hours of labor. I had another scheduled «inspection» for my water heater, which I cancelled today.

My first experience w/​this company and I am relieved they sent Stuart Myers to do preventative maintenance on my furnace. I knew it wouldn’t look pretty up there & Stuart showed me what he saw & gave recommendations. No pressure at all, but comfortable talking price & financing options. He also helped my plumbing issues & he was able to help out in that too! Very accommodating & made me feel like a valuable customer taking care of my home needs. Well done & THANK YOU!

My first review was 5 stars working w/​Stuart. The reason I took a star off since then was for service I had this weekend to get insulation installed & air duct cleaning. Two gentlemen came & seemed professional. Zach was easily the more professional worker & did all of the work; he did phenomenal. The other worker, Paul, didn’t do much, but I did not appreciate him telling me his thoughts on how «gorgeous» he thought of me & how he was waiting to tell me so until he was outside my house w/​me, asking me «why I’m not married & how he’d marry me.» First of all, it’s none of his business. Secondly, I’m a customer & that is NOT professional nor acceptable when he’s at a job!!! I was creeped out & stuck w/​my 10yr old daughter. Even my daughter told me all he did was smoke outside. Regardless, in the end, I shook both men’s hands for the work done & the unprofessional worker thanked me for letting them work at my beautiful home & for a «beautiful woman.» Please train your workers to keep their thoughts & comments to themselves! I hope he never comes back to work at my home. Again, the other guy, Zach, did a great job! I do wish they did a better job putting a tarp on my floor BEFORE they started putting the dirty attic cover on my beige carpet. Yup, it’s now stained. I was the one who saw it & moved the cover on the tarp. When the tarp was pulled, the dust/​dirt was left on my floor. I thought they’d clean up w/​o asking me if they wanted to clean it or me. Frustrated, I just said I’ll do it because I just wanted them to be gone.

Plumber inspected my sewer main and installed the clean out as instructed. He told me the pipe was bad and had to be replaced and suggested looking into bursting. I liked that. He also gave me a very good price for the wrong (but functional) cleanup.
Two plumbers came out for repipe estimates and both laughed at the incorrect clean out he installed. He explained it to me, but I’m not a plumber. Strike one.
He was supposed to get back to me with an estimate for a new line of the trench style. He never did. He was supposed to send me a receipt for the work done since I gave the card over the phone. I was not at the residence. He did not send it. Strikes two and three.
After another call to him and 3 more to HQ and a week pass, I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY RECEIPT!!! This is the poorest example of customer service I’ve ever seen! I need the receipt for my rental records. Now I am going to have to drive 40 miles to request it in person from the manager or owner. I’m also going to have to check my credit card because now I am questioning if it was charged correctly. I may also consider reporting this to the BBB.
Send me my damn receipt, I requested it 5 times! I shouldn’t have had to request it at all. receipts are SOP in any industry.

Stop calling me. Seriously. Stop it. I get it. You purchased a list of numbers of people who bought new homes and you want to sell me your ac service. Call once. Fine. I told you I was not interested, politely. As the great Patrick Swayze taught us all in Road House, «be nice, until its time to not be nice.» Now that time has come. You guys have called about 40 times already. Almost every day. Its annoying. Its clear by the reviews on here that you are only in business by scamming the gullible folks.
I will never ever hire you. Leave me alone.

Ace Home Services has been servicing our AC units for over 4 years. On June 3, 2015, we had a Ace technician come to our home for our annual service call. At this call, the technician performed the service and informed us both of our units were operating properly.
Less than 3 weeks later, we woke up to find the home not cooling down. We called Ace and they had a service technician (or should I say a high pressure sales person) out in about an hour. At this call, this technician went up on the roof, took videos, and informed us that the unit was rusting, and water leaking in the ductwork and could be repaired but it would cost us about the same to repair as to replace. The weather for June 23, was forecasted to hit 115 and here we are now stuck with a quick decision to replace our unit without any warning to research and really not in a position to understand what a unit should cost since we had no warning that anything was wrong with ours. The Ace technician then turned into Mr. «let’s make a deal» (I believe his name was Sky) supposedly discounting this and that so he could «back into» a cost of $ 7950. We ended up purchasing a brand, Bryant, I have never heard of but was recommended by Mr. «let’s make a deal». Part of his sale’s pitch was that the sear level was far superior and that we would see a big difference in our energy use with this unit. This was not a good feeling to take a recommendation from someone that seemed untrustworthy and only trying to close a deal, but we felt due to temperature forecast and our dogs that we had no choice.
The next 24 hours, we were without A/​C on one of the hottest days of the summer. The unit was installed and the installers were great. We expressed our disappointment with the installer regarding their company, but they informed us it was out of their control.
I have done some research since this on Bryant and it has gotten very mixed reviews from excellent to terrible with an average rating of 3 stars depending on the model of this brand. But trying to provide the benefit of doubt, I decided to wait to see the savings from this new unit before contacting Ace. We have now completed a full month of billing cycle and our kilowatt usage TY vs. LY only dropped 3 kilowatts for the same month with the same relative average temperature. This savings is insignificant on an $ 8000 expenditure that we were assured by your technician. I also asked other AC companies to quote on the same size unit on a roof removing old unit, and all estimates for name brands, Trane, Rheem, Lennox, Carrier were under $ 6500.
I have seen specials on news shows regarding shady dealings with air conditioning companies and now I would place Ace in this same category.
My questions to Ace were below:
1. With Ace servicing our units for over 4 years, why have we never been told there is a rust problem especially when our unit was serviced by Ace less than 3 weeks prior to emergency replacement?
2.Has Ace just been getting up on the roof and now doing anything?
3. Why did the technician that came out on 6/​3, not take the amp reading on the service form?
I sent a letter to Ace with these questions and to date no one has been able to answer them. Harold, the manager, did come to out to look at unit, and made some adjustments supposedly to make it run better so we would see a savings in utilities (TBD still). He would not provide a discount on our purchase even though I showed him we overpaid, but did over a 5 year service plan to us so his unreliable staff can go up on our roof and service our unit. He valued this plan at $ 1500 in services (ha, it is to their advantage if we use their service because then he will get the money on all of the repairs). He even suggested he would give us a smoking deal on a new unit for our 17 year old unit! Like I want to give them more business after their dishonesty already. Oh by the way Harold was sending the 5 year maintenance plan to us and it has been over 1 week since he was here and yes you guessed it nothing has come.
Highly recommend not using this company for service AND they will rip you off on a new unit if you are purchasing! After reading the review from Janette P. I would guess also that we did not need a new unit. I definitely will be reporting them to the BBB also.

This company has 301 reviews about how bad they suck and ripped people off. After getting duped out of $ 2100 my Trane A/​C unit was still broken. After parting ways with this company and hiring a real A/​C company that actually knows what they are talking about… My Trane unit was fixed like new for $ 475. FYI: Fan motor cap, starter cap, and compressor saver cap cost $ 85 for all 3 from Amazon. A fan motor shouldn’t cost you more than $ 170 — $ 275 depending on the unit you own. This company sucks!!!

Put in 4 years ago by ace air. This is the second time I’ve been without a/​c the second time I’ve had to wait the day of no air till the second day. We also purchased 3 new registers, we got 3 vents so all the air goes into the room with the not able to adjust vent. We had to block a portion of the vent with foil so the other rooms get a/​c. Now the new intake and filter. Cheapest built. already wont stay shut and hold the filter in. This sucks being’s I paid thousands for this work to be done… use them at your own risk. When called this in to them, they wont do anything to correct the registers. Also they are very happy to charge me to fix this 4 year old boat anchor. to bad so sad they have been paid.

Avoid like the plague. Allow me to illustrate my extreme dissatisfaction with these professional ripoff artists.
It is currently August. The absolute hottest month of the Arizona summer. Our AC gave out and yesterday all of us, a family of 4 adults and 2 little girls, in 93 degree heat indoors and sweating from every pore we called the very first people we COULD. ACE Home Services.
Guy named Caleb comes out, fiddles around with our old unit, and after half an hour he comes down from our roof and tells us it’s unfixable and that being an old 20 year unitl we need to replace it urgently, yadda yadda and quotes us… 11 grand for a 5ton unit we later on found out could be bought for 2.5k. After much protesting and negotiating we ‘talked him down’ to 8k. Which is an exorbitant amount of money. This is what happens when you are desperate and literally melting in the AZ heat. To make matters worse, this guy tells us that we should leave the house and go to a motel for the weekend (Yay! more money to spend after overcharging us 8 grand!) because it would be too hot for our little girls.
Next morning, we decided to look for a second opinion. Turns out there’s another place, awesome reviews on Unilocal,called JMAC. THEIR tech not only arrived instantly after the call, he tells us that our AC runs fine and that mold in the motor is triggering the unit’s automatic shutdown feature and that is why we’re literally melting indoors. Well, he gives us an alternative. Buy a new unit for 4 grand OR keep the motor for 400. And if we buy the new unit, we get the motor over the weekend and they’ll take it with them when they’re done. A much more reasonable alternative AND very courteous and reasonable service.
So after this we call to cancel ACE, and Caleb calls us infuriated demanding to know why we’re cancelling! After explaining, the guy calls my mother «a fucking foreigner, all you foreigners are all the same» and saying that she is a horrible unreasonable person for seeking a second alternative to his clearly commission based 8 grand ripoff festival.
So not only do these evil people hire racist assholes who are out to rip you off, BUT they would also condemn you to a weekend of Arizona hell 90+ degree indoor heat for an entire weekend ‘while the unit comes in’. Your practices are EVIL, you are racists (my mother is a US Citizen and the only ‘foreign’ thing about her is her thick spanish accent) and you are the scum of the earth.
So as I stated to begin with, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Avoid these people like they are throwing used needles full of AIDS virus at you. Don’t let the heat force you into a bad decision. We are already looking at surcharges (15% restocking fee when they didn’t even UNSTOCK anything… they want to actually make us pay for literally NOTHING!) we will have to likely take these scum to court for.
Final evidence you will ever need to know (which we found out only a day too late)
Yes, that is ACE in one of the segments, visibly and provably doing what they clearly do best, ripping customers off.

I have seen their ads for years but have not had to call. When I discovered a leak in one of our units, thought would give them a call. Shocked to find out that they will be there that very afternoon and showed up 2 hours later. Huge relief since 110 plus outside and have company coming. Tech fixed the problem for less than $ 120 and we are good like new. Surprised when I see the negative reviews but our case was positive.

When you live in the desert, AC is crucial, even moreso than water at times. ACE was professional and courteous when they came out to service my parent’s AC unit. The staff is responsive and generally accommodating to your needs, given the peak season where everyone wants their home to feel like an igloo. The field techs are hard working and knowledgeable of what works best for your needs. The only reason it is a star short is because the tech had damaged the attic opening but I credit anyone willing to go up and suffer the inferno of a crawl space. I read the various reviews and given I’ve used ACE several times for my family needs, my experience has been great and would recommend them!

My AC broke down and Ace sent over Robert Mitchell who was amazing! It was Fast and Friendly service. I would definitely recommend Ace!

110 degrees outside and our AC isn’t working. We have a 3 year old and pets so obviously we need help. Called at 230pm and was told we would have a tech out by 8pm. Ok it’s Sunday, we can deal with that. Well it is 1115pm and nobody is here.
I’ve called their office 4 times and they «don’t know what is going on» and they have paged the tech, but don’t know what is happening. They put me on hold and after 10 minutes I gave up.
I ended up calling another company and as I am writing this review, I just got notified that the new company is on the way. Within 20 minutes!
ACE is garbage. Don’t use them.

Horible experience with this company! They called me several times untill I finaly accepted their offer to tune up my HVAC and add up to 1lb of freon for $ 19.95. Today the
*Tech comes out an hour after the 3 hour window quoted.
* Quotes me «$ 1500 in much needed repairs» but tells me he is such an honest peson that he wouldnt allow himself to do these repairs «on such an old unit» and the the «right thing to do would replace the whole unit» and he can get me a great price of $ 9800, abviously their goal all along is sell new units. Quick to provide a price but can’t tell me the name brand or model of the unit he is trying to sell me
*Breaks the exaust/​output pipe on my system doesn’t even tell me until I point it out and then tries to charge me $ 180 to fix what he broke. Really? he asks me what to I expect the system is old … Does a Micky mouse tape job before leaving
* tech absolutely refuses to add any freon to my system even though he said it reads low
This company is pathetic. My wife did not want me to pay them the $ 19.95 and I shouldnt but like i told the tech (i will not call him Man) I am a Man and have integrity and payed what I had agreed to pay.

This is one of those times when I’m ashamed to say we didn’t do our Unilocal homework beforehand. We got a referral from a friend for this company when our air conditioning went out (the first week of triple degree temperatures… of course).
Awful, awful experience. Caleb was friendly enough but totally high pressure. We need a new AC unit, if we don’t schedule it right now, who knows when they could get to us, blah, blah, blah. And we really should replace our other unit too to the tune of about 9K. When my husband expressed concern about checking our finances, he literally said «What were you expecting to spend? I’m not a price guy but I can see if I can bring it down.»
I’ve had more comfortable experiences buying a car.
That was the moment that I realized that if we needed to replace both air conditioners, the air conditioner in my car or even winter in general, I would not be going with this company.
We sent him away, did our Unilocal research and found a company that came out this morning, identified a small leak and recommended to wait before replacing the unit and it’s going to cost a couple hundred bucks.

Sky did a tune up and claims we needed a brand new 5 ton a/​c unit b/​c pipes were all rusted out and leaking. The Lennox unit is no more than 9 yrs old. Claims they don’t work on commission; new system installed was going to run $ 7k+ for a limited time before prices go up. I had an HVAC friend double check his work and he said we don’t need a new a/​c and the pipes are ok. Lesson learned: don’t hire an a/​c guy that works on commission and get a second even a third opinion from someone you trust.

First Unilocal Review, My house needed the pipes replaced and they worked with me to get 5 year payment plan but that was the only good thing about them. First clue that I got a raw deal was during the install when the man said he «upgraded» me on the water heater to a 50 gal, because they didn’t have 40’s in stock, even though the same man wrote in the contract that I would get a 50 gal water heater.
Then while negotiating he told me they wouldn’t patch up holes but that they would be small and probably only run a few hundred dollars however my 1700 quotes would disagree.
Then my water softener that they moved to a new location however they left it in bypass mode which I didn’t catch for a week. Then later the pipe they used for pushing the discharged water wasn’t fitted properly which resulted in a leak I didn’t discover for a few days and resulted in salt damage on my floors in the laundry room tiles.
The day they left my washer ended up flooding everywhere because the new drain they installed apparently had debris built up which resulted in the water spraying out like a fountain. Again this resulted in flooding all the way into the kitchen, thankfully I was still home when this happened because I needed to unplug the washer to stop it.
Then when Sears came for maintenance on the washer they discovered that the Hot and Cold was reversed on my washer, so for a month my water wasn’t being used properly.
In short in now way do I recommend these people for any plumbing in your house at least not a big project.

Will. Not. Stop. Calling. I used them 5 years ago and they have been blowing my phone up ever since. I have asked repeatedly for them to stop and rwmove my number but, they cant stop wont stop. The service was fine i just wanted a tune up. Unfortunatly i got more then that. I will try George next time because at this point I dont want to encourage them.
