James is amazing: reliable, professional, nice, careful, and efficient. He helped me move an incredibly heavy oak table and a number of remaining items out of our Cherry Hill storage, helping me load some of the items into my Northern Liberties townhouse and others into my new storage space nearby. I’ve worked with movers big and small over the years, and James is as good as it gets. Can’t recommend him highly enough!

I was referred to this service by a friend and had a wonderful experience. I was moving all of my belongings into a center city apartment where we had limited time to park the U-​Haul and get everything in. Though I had some people helping, we contacted Philly Van Man to add manpower — and it was the best decision we could have made! He was on time, and worked nonstop to help us accomplish the goal in the time we had asked for his services. I know that I will need more furniture for my house, and I’ll be calling Philly Van Man to help me transport and move it in when the time comes.

James was super helpful and an overall pleasure to work with. The cost for the moving services were also very reasonable. I had a coffee table that needed repair and James delivered it to a restorer out of town and then brought it back when it was complete. He was on time and very responsive, keeping me updated and timely responding to texts. I’d recommend Philly Van Man to all my friends.

I can’t say enough nice things about working with James to move a couch from Center City to South Philly. His communication with me before the move was prompt, clear, and just pleasant all the way around. He was always easy to reach by phone and text. What can I say about Philly Van Man? Well for starters, he is the most reliable, affordable and friendly mover I have ever worked with. He is quick to respond to calls, his estimates are REALLY fair, he never overcharges and he gets the job done on time. He aims to please his clients, he will work around your schedule and make sure whatever he is picking up and delivering gets put in the right spot in your home. I can honestly say I’ve used his services over 10 times at this point, and I wouldn’t hire anyone else. He is my go to guy! I highly recommend him for small to medium moves or getting something you bought to your home (like me, I shop at Jinxed a lot). Not only does he provide you with a good service but he is also a wonderful individual who truly likes his job and wants to make his clients happy. So. My good friend doesn’t like to plan ahead. On the day of his move, he had barely finished packing and was «maybe» sure that the keys to his new place would be there when we arrived. He collects lots of Legos and keeps them in dozens of small, easily spilled plastic containers. He had a lot of things and we anticipated a pretty difficult day of moving. Enter James, the Philly Van Man, who was able to help my good friend move not only quickly, but so easily. We tightly packed his van 5 times with furniture, boxes, and tons of really small containers, then drove the short mile from Gray’s Ferry to near Upenn and unloaded with ease. It was affordable, fast (took less than 3 hours, when 8 was what we were anticipating), and James was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even helped pick up after one of the containers of Legos inevitably spilled all over the ground. Highly recommend the Philly Van Man!

I was referred to Philly Van Man and I am very happy with his services. I moved all of my small items and just used him for 3 large items. He was extremely friendly, always in communication with me, and was able to help me pretty much immediately (I didn’t give him much notice) he was very careful with my items and even gave me recommendations for places to eat in my new neighborhood. I had just found the perfect dresser from Era-​Atomica and it was just what my apartment needed. However I had no way to transport it and I needed it as soon as possible.
That’s when Philly Van Man came to the recuse. I sent a short email asking if he could help me move the dresser. Less than an hour after I emailed James, we had set up a time to meet. And Philly Van Man arrived right on time.
James helped me move the piece from the sales floor into his van, drove it over, and helped me carry it into my apartment.
Could not be any happier with the service.
