We contacted Gally after discovering our furnace needed to be replaced (there were flames burning through the insulation on the side near the electrical cords posing a serious fire hazard). I have known for a while that it needed to be changed out, but the quotes we usually received for a furnace replacement ranged from $ 5-​$ 6,000 from several different locations. It was an old house built in 1928, and I don’t believe the furnace has ever been replaced, considering the service tags were from the 1960s. On a cold winter day (February 2015) it was apparent we couldn’t wait any longer, and we called Gally and his crew. Since it was the middle of winter and high season with single-​digit highs in temperature, they were unable to make it over to my house until later in the evening, but off the bat they gave me a price quote that was almost HALF the price of what other places wanted to charge me based on my descriptions.
After Gally’s guys came over to look over the old furnace, they told us they would return in the morning with a new one and start getting to work. The two guys showed up to the house at 11 AM that morning and they worked straight through until 10 PM that night! This was the first time I have ever seen contractors work so hard and diligently on the job. These guys are absolute professionals, as past experience tells me other contractors would have made me wait for another day for heat in this bitter winter and split the job up into two days. These guys stuck it through the entire day and after complete installation, spent an extra 30 minutes explaining to my mother and I exactly how the new furnace worked and how to best maintain it. Additionally, these guys noticed one of our tubular ceiling lights needed replacement and even replaced it for us before heading out. I am so pleased with the services they provided and their honest, hard-​working attitude. I wish I found these guys sooner for all my other household renovation needs. I will definitely be referring Center City Contractors to all my friends and be using them in the future for any other renovation needs.
