Lomax Carpet and Tile Mart

The people they had install are floors robbed us. When we contacted the store they said they would send it to there legal department. We never heard from them. We tried calling the store but never got a manager or there legal department. We never even received so much as an apology them.

I like this place. After dealing with Home Crappo I found this place to be amazing.
It’s nice to go into a place and get served within 60 seconds.
Big selection of carpet and rugs.

Upon further review this Carpet costs TOO DAMN MUCH. There has to be a better carpet place out there.

Jaclyn told us the amount of tiles we needed for our bathroom based on the size. We had a full box left over & she would not let us return them since it was over 30 days. It did take us a little longer (about 1 week) to complete the job, but she didn’t mention the 30 days when we made the purchase. Also, they were an in-​stock tile, not a special order (4×6 white subway). We also ordered a special order tile & they must have been sitting in the warehouse for a long time, because they had a film on the tile (glue?) that was hard to get off. I had to purchase a special solvent to remove the film. The tiles were not cheap. Won’t ever buy anything there again!!!

I just purchased an area rug for my dining room which was priced at $ 799. It was marked 50% off. It is a Karastan rug and it is beautiful. I researched it online and it sells for $ 999. I am so happy with the incredible bargain! Aside from saving a great deal of money, which of course is very pleasing, I was even more pleased with the service I received. The manager Ted waited on us and he could not have been any nicer. He was so patient and helpful while I looked at so many of the rugs. He did not rush me nor did he try to push me into buying something. He is an incredible sales person and again so very nice. The selection in this store is amazing! There is so much to choose from and it was hard to make a decision because I liked so many of the rugs. This company has been in business for many years and it is easy to understand why. They offer a great selection of quality goods and their service is nothing short of awesome. We will return to purchase rugs from them without hesitation.

I needed four area rugs ASAP and initially went on their website. Unfortunately, when I called the store I spoke with Marco and I found out the rugs I wanted were not in stock. Marco wrote down the measurements and my price range and I went to the store the next day. Marco helped me find exactly what I was looking for including a shag rug for my daughter’s room. The selection was great and the prices were right! Thank you Marco for making this a stress-​free experience!

What started as what would have been a glowing 5 star experience quickly deescalated to nothing but aggravation.
We had been searching for tiles for the back splash in our new home for a while, and were having trouble finding the right tiles at a price within our range. We wandered into Lomax and finally found the color we’d been looking for (a plain red 3×6 tile), and at a fantastic price! We asked if they had the tiles in stock and were told that they did not and would have to order them. No problem! We paid up front and awaited the order, which we were told would take at least 2 weeks.
Later that afternoon, we received a phone call that the salesman had miscalculated the amount of tile we would need based on the measurements we gave him, and that we would have to pay a $ 35 balance when we came to pick up the tiles. Still, no problem.
2 days later, the phone rang. «Your tiles are in.» We were ecstatic that they’d arrived so quickly. I went to the store to pick them up and was greeted by two obviously miserable women behind the counter. The first told me that my balance was $ 90. I said that there must be some mistake, and that I had been told $ 35 over the phone. she then proceeded to walk away from me without saying anything. I tried to engage the other woman, who came over and looked at my invoice and then snapped back at me, «I wrote this order myself so I know there wasn’t no mistake.» I asked her several times to please check again and she refused. I then said that I will not be paying that balance, especially since nobody would confirm it was even correct, and that I was beginning to feel scammed by all of these mysterious price increases. After several minutes, another salesman came over to the awful woman I was dealing with and pulled her aside. A few minutes later, she came back and begrudgingly told me that my balance was $ 35. I paid and reminded her that she could have avoided all of the aggravation if she had just checked the numbers again as I requested. The woman didn’t once apologize to me for her mistake or her rudeness, and sent me on my way with my receipt and my tiles. For the record, I did tell her that she seriously lacked customer service skills upon leaving, and I hope she took that seriously.
Oh, and the jackasses sold me entirely too much tile. I have an entire unopened box left over from the job. Now, they refuse to take back my tiles because it was a «special order». I certainly won’t be dealing with these crooks again.

I love this store. My husband and I just bought a house down the street from us and remodeled the whole house. We used Lomax for Hardwoods throughout the house, ceramic tile and glass mosaic in both bathrooms and kitchen backsplash and carpet for the finished basement. The staff here is amazing, the manager Ted Horn talked to my husband for over an hour with suggestions on how to install the tile as it wasn’t in our budget to have it installed professionally. The prices here are better than anywhere else and I wouldn’t shop anywhere else for Hardwood or tile. The house down the street we sold in 3 days after putting it up for sale because it was so beautiful thanks to Lomax! Now we are remodeling our own house and plan to use Lomax again. We tell all of our family and friends about Lomax

Purchased carpets for master bedroom, small bedroom, living room area carpet, and stairway runner. Installation was on-​time, done properly, courteous, and fast. Staff at store, we dealt with a woman named Marchie, was knowledgeable and courteous. Not pushy, answered our questions, and tried to get us the best deals. Carpet quality is excellent. (Don’t go cheap with carpet… you get what you pay for) One issue: our area rug padding was a bit bigger than the carpet. I had to cut it myself. Would have been five stars otherwise.

Nice carpets at reasonable prices. Staff was very helpful and attentive. What we purchased here we would of spent a fortune anywhere else. I definitely recommend this place.

My family has gotten carpet here twice. Based other reviews, we didn’t let them install it. The warehouse guys did a good job of getting everything securely in my truck. I wouldn’t say that the selection they have is huge, but the prices are worth it if you live nearby.

Nice staff, but we had one lazy installer. Very lazy, did an OK job but took apart some things and trashed them and never even told us until we called and complained. He was to come out and replace what he trashed and told us NO he had no idea how to fix what he did and therefore was not coming back. We we def not do business here again and will not recommend to friends/​family

We have used Lomax twice and were very pleased with the salespeople at the store and the price and selection of the carpets avaiable. It is nice to be able to see large rolls of the product instead of tiny squares. We were not as pleased with the installation. There is a huge visible seam that is fraying in one room and a sloppy seam where the carpet meets another flooring in another room. Seams are unavoidable, but we have had carpet installed by another company and the seams are not at all visible like they are with the Lomax stuff. Maybe it’s just a poorer carpet, as it really lost it’s cushiness quickly. Either way, I’m not too impressed.
