I trusted the majority of the reviews, but I was wrong.
I called because my heater fan had seized up. The tech who came out was very friendly and actually showed my husband what was wrong and my husband was able to replace the part himself for much less, which was awesome. Little did we know that the tech crossed some wires when he put everything back together, and from then on, our fan would not stop blowing. We called back to see if he would come back to correct it, and they demanded another fee for the service call. I just don’t believe in paying someone to fix their own mistake.

Beware. I contacted this company when I couldn’t reach my regular company. The company sent out a tech to my rental property and they said that my system wouldn’t hold pressure and I needed a whole new A/​C system for a charge of about $ 5500. I then called another company who tested the system and just said that it needed cleaned and recharged. They only charged me $ 150.
6 months later and still no issues. $ 150 vs. $ 5500 — you decide!

Luis was fantastic. Came out. Taught me a lot about my unit. Solid guy.
I had purchased a Unilocal deal — so I paid $ 80 for $ 100 worth of service. I have an old Carrier furnace and a switchboard went out — very common for this furnace. Luis was helpful. Wired around the board and now my fan is running full-​time. Which isn’t good. I still need to have more expensive work done. I found a better deal from other guys who could install the board and do the work. So I paid $ 80 to Unilocal.Then another $ 74 for Luis and his work. Too bad. I could have just paid a $ 70 service fee to another guy who said he was coming out. I feel like I spent too much here for this service. $ 174 total. But Luis was a solid guy and I was grateful for his time. You will pay a premium for Cool Touch.

They came out faster then any other company could and had my home cooling in no time. Great techs and customer service!

Austin from Cool Touch did a perfect job. This is now my go-​to company for any AC repair work. He was on-​time and did the job for a lot less than I was anticipating. Great job!

Wow!!! Saturday night about 9pm my AC is blowing but not cool air… my handicapped son fast asleep the temp was rising quickly with June heat. I contacted several companies with no results and then I found cool touch!!! They called me right back and had Robert, the tech, out within an hour!!! He was polite and showed me exactly what was going on. Repair complete and air back on within an hour of his arrival! The price was very reasonable and the service unbeatable!!! I will be a customer from now on!!! Robert and Cool touch saved the day!!!

The owner Chris runs a honest and fair company. He makes sure that his techs do only what’s needed and DO NOT push things you don’t need. He puts his customers first and makes sure they our top priority. He has also helped the elerdery and needy in the past to make sure they were safe during the hot weather.

My A/​C stopped working overnight, which I noticed fairly early in the morning and, after extensive research of companies online — including Unilocal — finally decided to call Cool Touch. They came out and quoted me over $ 1200 to fix a leak and replace a capacitor. Of course, their technician also told me that it probably wasn’t even worth it to fix my A/​C and that I should just purchase a new one from them for $ 5000!!! I declined, as I wanted at least a second opinion, and was charged the $ 60 service fee. After looking at multiple other companies, I feel even the service fee they charge is way too high — most other companies I’ve seen only charge about $ 30 just to come look and give you a diagnosis, but regardless, I paid it and was done with their company.
Since I now had a diagnosis, I called just ONE other company — this time one that was recommended to me by a friend. The gentleman quoted me $ 750-​$ 800 at most to fix what was wrong. The technician arrived at my house a little before 6 at night, and then told me that it would only be $ 350 to fix it!!! Less than ¹⁄₃ of what Cool Touch tried to charge me! I told him that Cool Touch also tried to sell me a whole new A/​C unit and he told me that IF I wanted to get a new A/​C, I could, but 1) I don’t need a new one right now and 2) there was no point in getting a $ 5000 one for the size of my house, and that I’d be better off with a $ 2000 one. WoW!
So Cool Touch tried to charge me more than THREE TIMES what it actually should have cost to fix my A/​C — which is now working better than ever — and they tried to sell me a brand new A/​C that I don’t need that is too big for the house I own. Thanks for nothing Cool Touch. I won’t be calling you again, and I won’t be recommending your company to any friends!

I’ve used this company twice now, mostly because I need service on a lemon I was sold by another company several years ago, and Cool Touch has never let me down.
The first time out, my compressor burned up and I had to get a new one, but they got the job done in record time (given that it was June, I appreciated it!). Fast forward two years down the road, and we have another issue with the same unit (remember, lemon).
I immediately rang Cool Touch in the wee hours, just about midnight, but still got someone to answer and got scheduled for the next day. The tech that came out was Jason and he was highly touted by the dispatcher as well as some of the reviews I’ve read here and elsewhere, so I had high expectations going into it, but was petrified that I would be out tons of money and potentially need a new compressor.
Jason spent a long time diagnosing the real problem and assured me the compressor was fine, which was a huge relief. This go around, it was the outside fan motor. Apparently the bearing let go and it was all but seized up, so the compressor was cutting out (thankfully saving itself) and we were getting warm air as a result. Jason guessed this might be the problem before he set foot on the roof, but took his time to confirm and also fixed a few other minor issues we had with misaligned panels and rattling.
The best part? He had a replacement fan motor, evidently a better unit than the OEM, on his van and ready to install. I understand this is a common issue, and I was fortunate that within an a couple hours, we were back up and running and getting ice cold air again.
Jason is an absolute professional and extremely good at his job. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience and displayed the utmost professionalism and integrity. Having dealt with hacks and disingenuous HVAC «professionals» in the past from other companies, it was a welcome change to deal with Jason and Cool Touch air.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for integrity and honesty when they have HVAC issues!

They are certainly fast and the tech was friendly and courteous, but there is definitely inflation in their price. The technician showed up 1 hr after my call, which was good. He checked the compressor and told me there is too much freon, and quoted $ 250 to remove freon. That was not good. At least the guy was courteous and quick, maybe that’s factored into the price too.

I was looking for a local A/​C contractor to service my a/​c just to make sure it was ready to handle the summer heat. Luis came out from Cool Touch and was amazing. Luis was very thorough but also went out of his way to explain what he was doing and why. He also showed me how to program my thermostat properly in order to set it at certain temps while I’m not home and for it to start cooling the house down before I get home. Luis was very nice and didn’t try to sell me on things that I didn’t need. He recommended the maintenance program and explained what it was and why it could benefit me and how it could save me $$ in the event I needed a part for a repair. I will definitely be taking him up on that program. I was very pleased with the professionalism of Cool Touch and Luis and will be using them as my go-​to local HVAC contractor.

I don’t know if I trust these people 100%. We had a compressor motor go out and they replaced that and we signed up for a service, a day later we heard a knocking and the when the motor was replaced the fan was misaligned so they had to come back out and fix it and they said they thought it was like that before.
6 months later when my 2^nd check up came (free under the service agreement) they came out and I wasn’t home and they told my wife they we were low on coolant and there was a leak in our condenser. They just wrote on the receipt leaky in the compressor needs new unit call us $ 5k.
I never called but they sent me a brochure in the mail a couple weeks later.
Of course now I’m paranoid but the AC has been working fine.

We were clueless with what was wrong with our AC unit. Robert took the time to explain and show me what was wrong with the unit. I explained to him the headaches of buying this pre-​owned home and he took the time WHILE he was here and looked at or 2^nd unit to see if it was in as bad of shape as our 1^st unit to see if he could save us a future headache. AND HE DID because it was just as bad as the 1^st unit. Robert fixed them both while he was here. With all the willingness to HELP and how friendly everyone was and the schedule availability offered I would 100% recommend this company to anyone with AC issues!

It was a year ago and we had problems with our air conditioner. Today I was recommending them because of the great service they provided and realized that I didn’t write a review last year so I wanted to take the time and do that even though I can’t remember what exactly it was that they did. What I DO know is that they came the same day, they were friendly, professional and did not walk away with a million of my hard earned dollars!!! Oh, and they walked us through step by step with explanations. I didn’t feel cheated and I felt well informed. Thanks cool touch and just so you know I am sending you a referral!

Had called a couple other companies when my AC went out today and they couldn’t get anyone out until tomorrow evening. Luis was able to squeeze me in just before he went home for the day today! Super quick repair and very friendly! Air conditioning never felt so good!

Recently I turned on the AC and noticed it wasn’t blowing very cold, and in fact it was barely cool. I had a friends husband change out the old thermostat to a digital one thinking it wasn’t working right, but that didn’t do it. After doing some research I found Cool Touch and like everyone I saw the good reviews and decided to give them a try. I called them this morning around 9:45 and was told they’d be out 10 – 2. Within minutes I got a call saying a service tech would be there in 25 minutes, and it didn’t even take that long. Robert was very nice and professional and explained that I had a crack in my freon line, some of my ductwork was opened up, not to mention all of the nasty pigeon mess. He repaired and cleaned everything and even fixed the thermostat (it wasn’t done correctly yesterday. Oops). Now I have a cold AC, colder than it’s been the entire time I’ve lived here and I signed up for the service plan. It even runs quieter!
In any case, this is a great company and I’m really glad I found them. I will definitely continue using them!

Great family owned business. We have used them for service and last year they replaced our heater and AC unit. For many years and lots of $, Parker and Sons could not figure out an issue we were having. Cool Touch figured it out on their first visit. Robert is a great technician. They have stood by their work on two different occasions with prompt service and no charge to us. Customers for life!

This company is amazing. The tech came right on time. He was very friendly and knowledgable. He took his time and did more than what I expected for tone up. He installed a thermostat that I bought from Walmart with out any additional fees. 100% satisfied. I will defiantly use them again.

Thanks to Brannen, we’re running cool again. We had a spot of bad luck with a tech who wasn’t quite up to Cool Touch snuff but Brannen came out first thing next day and fixed the mistake. He was very nice — exactly what I’d expected from my first experience with Cool Touch. He took the time to explain what went wrong and really made my husband and I feel like valued customers. He even wore those blue carpet-​saving booties. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be looking at turning our water heater needs over to them since I learned that they handled those as well.

I have used Cool Touch for several years and have invariably been pleased with the service I receive.
Cool Touch is always on time, polite and clean up after themselves.
Cool Touch repaired my previous A/​C unit and when it was no longer repairable sold me my new one.
When my water heater stopped working Cool Touch was out the same day I called to fix it. Rather than selling me a new unit they informed me all I needed was a thermostat, saving me $ 600 or more.
They do not try to sell me anything I do not need.
This is far and away the best home service experience I have had.
