Favorite food truck in Pawtucket. Giant burrito and amazing tacos. Prices are good and the staff is nice

Very good mexican food… is the real deal and it will not break down your bank account

Would of been better if the corn tortillas didn’t fall apart so easily. Still pretty good.
They don’t speak English so it was a little hard asking for extra onions and cilantro !

Great food from Carman and Maria (mom and daughter). The burritos are the best around and they are ONLY 6 bucks. I’d pay 8 or 9 if I had to. The burritos are made fresh to order and are slightly smaller than her arch nemesis Don Nacho. However, the quality is better. If I knew better spanish Id ask for extra refried beans and add avacado, but dont want to mess with perfection too much.
These ladies make their food with love and great you with the same!

Great cheap food, even better when leaving one of the 5 bars within 200 feet of the place. 3 tacos for $ 5

Oh, thank goodness. This little taco cart of love is just what I needed in my life. These ladies serve really nice stuff, and are so nice to their customers I just don’t feel right going someplace else. Oh, and it’s super-​duper cheap! That’s very nice too.
I’ve tried almost everything on the menu by now, and so far my favorite is the humble burrito. It’s assembled so well that I can eat the entire thing down to the last corner before it falls apart. The salsa verde is my condiment of choice, but the roja is good too.
This place never has a line, and I get my food within minutes. What’s not to like?!

Delicious and fresh! I am a food truck fan, and this one did not disappoint! I ordered the Tres Tacos and they were delicious. I was surprised, in a good way, that it wasn’t as fast as I was expecting. Surprised, you ask? Why yes, because they cooked the food while I waited, ensuring the food was hot and delicious! I am definitely a fan!

Very yummy tacos and quesadillas!!! Also the lady that runs it is very very sweet. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

Have you ever given a place 5 stars on Unilocal and then soon after found a very similar place that you like even better? It doesn’t make you like the old place any less, it just makes you want to give the new place 5.5 stars. Taco La Mexicana is the second taco stand in Pawtucket that I’ve found after Tacos Don Nacho and while I’m a big fan of Taco Nacho, Taco La Mexicana has it beat on nearly every level.
The portions aren’t as big, but that’s probably a good thing. You get a nice sized, manageable lunch. The prices are a bit better. The menu is bigger. The neighborhood is a pinch less sketchy (I’ve never had a homeless guy puke on the side of my truck like I had happen at Taco Nacho). The food is a little bit better. The only thing that Taco La Mexicana doesn’t have is a fake horse and rider making the stand look like a carriage, so it’s a little less noticeable.
It’s impossible not to compare the two since they are so similar. I like them both and will gladly swing by either for lunch. But if I had to pick between the two I’d go to Taco La Mexicana without hesitation.

Love love love this place! I’ve always driven by this truck but was always a bit scared to try it. Finally, I did and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made! I got their burrito with no meat and all the fixens. So so delicious! Its filled with perfectly cooked rice, fresh lettuce, cheese, red beans and a few other ingredients put together nicely. The burrito is the perfect size, not too big or small and it’s only $ 5.50. This truck blows Taco Don Nacho out of the water!!! Fresh food, great friendly and super fast service! Don’t miss out on this gem.

Taco La Mexicana is a little food truck in Pawtucket across the street from CVS. The truck was locked up for a bit, and there were 2 other cars waiting for her to come back so they could order food. There is no indoor seating, only picnic tables outside or carry out available. The tostada al pastor that I ordered tasted good and the cook was very generous with the toppings, which came with a bunch of toppings like cheese and guacamole that other taco stands may try to charge extra for. For some reason she put extra nachos on top, but they ended up being useful to eat up the little yummy bites of toppings and meat that fell off the tostada. I would say that this little shack is in the top 5 I’ve had in RI for tostadas, and if I am in the area, I’d definitely try more options from the menu.

Look at all the five-​star reviews! Oh boy do I love me some burritos from these lovely ladies. They are juicy and soooo flavorful and not too big but not too small, and they come with a red or green hot sauce– oh they’re perfect! They also have amazing homemade horchata– yummmm!

This place is great! The staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious. The hot sauce is spicy and flavorful. $ 5 gets you a gigantic quesadilla with guacamole and cheese on the side. So glad we found this truck!

I love that there is a food truck so close to Cumberland, I had a Pork Burrito and it was excellent. Also it was huge, more than I could put down without risking a food coma; now that I know where it is I’ll be dropping by on a regular basis! If you like Mexican you wont be disappointed!

Everything this truck makes is fantastic. The folks are super nice too! If you are in the area, stop by. Even you already ate, it’s worth it. I live up the street and we go at least once a week. Burritos, Enchiladas, Tortas, Tacos, Nachos… oh my.

Stopped by after searching Unilocal for taco places. So glad Gabriel had reviewed this. I got a chicken torta and my wife got two tacos. The tacos are small street tacos, so if you are hungry you better order a couple. My wife said they were great. The chicken torta was a delicious mess. One of the best tortas I’ve had. This place will go into my lunch rotation for sure.

This place literally popped up over night. The food is great! We were looking for a place to get authentic Mexican food. Everything is homemade from the salsa to the tortillas. The menu includes tacos, burritos, tortas, ceviche, nachos, enchiladas, tostada, mulitas, etc. The menu is fairly inexpensive. It is family owned.
