Gayle and the staff at Trumpet Vine were an absolute pleasure to work with. Every single thing that they served was insanely delicious, the servers and bartenders were beyond friendly, and I can’t even begin to tell you how many of our guests came up to tell me that it was the best meal (not just wedding food, but food in general) that they had had in a while. It was absolute perfection.

I absolutely LOVED working with Trumpet Vine! From the beginning, we did not consider any other caterer to create or wedding food vision in October 2015. It was clear that they were up for the job of working to create the specific wine and beer pairing stations dinner that we had in mind (even when we requested a most elaborate tasting prior to deposit). All of their staff were incredibly easy to work with, and professional throughout the planning process. They struck a very well balanced approach of making suggestions for our event, telling us what had worked for them in the past and what really fizzled, and not insisting that something be done differently than we wanted (even when we paired a different beer with a food than suggested, or chose a set up or staff design that was different from what might have been easier for them). When we requested changes to our contract or suggestions to food options that fit within a specific budget, they immediately downsized and made adjustments that were agreeable to us. When we were able to add a few things back in, there was nary a complaint about the previous budget work on the contract months prior (ah! Such was our planning process.).
Communicating with Jennie and Gayle prior to the event was flawless. Our emails were responded to incredibly promptly, and when changes were made to affect our contract it was updated and sent to us equally swiftly. The fact that we were planning our wedding from 400 miles away didn’t even affect being able to plan with Trumpet Vine for our catering. I felt entirely confident turning over the set up work and rentals to Trumpet Vine, in collaboration with our venue and venue coordinator (Tiber Canyon), as well as the rental company (Got You Cover’d). Given our guest count and other details from us as the couple, they were able to communicate everything we needed (that I didn’t even know how to dictate) to the rental company and venue. I am so thankful for their coordination!
At our wedding all of the food was completely what we had decided upon, and delicious. There was plenty of food for people to feel like they had a full meal (our intention). It was beautifully set up, with eye catching signage and décor to match our theme and font (no detail overlooked!). But perhaps the most prominent and meaningful aspect of working with Trumpet Vine was the staff that they hired and trained for our wedding. Every person we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to be there, and attentive to each need. As the bride and groom, multiple staff, more than once, were directly attentive to us, and ensure that we had some of every food served. Our bartenders were friendly and relaxed. All staff were personable. I could not recommend Trumpet Vine more; they were outstanding in product, professionalism, staff, presentation, planning, and overall business.

TVC was hired for my 29^th birthday and they will be back for my 30^th! Truly (from start to finish) I found them to be extremely professional, personable and diligent. We were out tasting for most of the afternoon, so they had no guidance or personal direction from me while setting up the house and tables (minus the diagrams I gave them). When we returned to the house, I was blown away by the attention to detail and special touch they gave each of the tables and bar area. The food, the FOOD! Spectacular! We had a variety of tortes (I highly recommend this), the avocado bar and a burger bar for dinner. People are still raving about those burgers! This company is a class act and if you’re in search of a friendly, attentive caterer; look no further! A million times, thank you Gayle and your team.

We can’t say enough great things about Trumpet Vine Catering! Gayle, Jennie and their entire team did a fantastic job of making our wedding. From the initial stages of working with our budget, the style we wanted, and taste testing really proved their passion, dedication and detail. Jennie and Gayle worked wonders with us in creating the perfect food offerings by getting our feedback and tweaking the offerings to ensure we were on the same page. Their communication and responsiveness was quick and welcoming.
When other vendors and people in the area asked who was catering our wedding and we stated Trumpet Vine everyone immediately said «oh they’re incredible». That they are. During our wedding day, and being in sensory overload, we made sure to pause and take in how Trumpet Vine presented everything and to taste the delicious offerings. They coordinated the offerings perfectly so that everything flowed along with the wedding.
Highly recommended and we hope we have an opportunity to taste their delicious food again soon.

One word — wow! From start to finish TVC blew us away! We were not the traditional bride and groom who wanted a sit down dinner. Instead we asked for a build your own burger and hot dog bar with all the fixings and a few extra unique gems.
As soon as we pitched our idea to Gayle and Jennie they hopped right on board and provided us with so many unique ideas that complimented our original plan. From Mac and cheese cups, to bacon jam, to the fried eggs for our burgers, to an after lunch milkshake in three delicious flavors, to hands-​down the best sweet potato fries I have had period, The TVC team delivered the most exceptional flavors with the most clean execution. How many places in the world can make burgers and hot dogs look like classy wedding fare?
And the service staff, just wow! I swear I had a server dedicated to making sure I got to try every appetizer. I felt like the first bride in history that actually got to eat at her wedding.
To all the staff at TVC, you are amazing! Guests have been raving about the fabulous food they tried and all the unique topping options you provided. I have recommended you more times then I can count on my fingers and toes.
To everyone else, book with TVC, you will be as equally blown away as I was!

My husband and I were married at Still Waters Vineyards just a day ago and Trumpet Vine Catering did such a great job!!! Gayle and team are amazing!!! I could not write a better review. We were married at Santa Margarita Ranch this past July and had the good sense to choose Jennie, Gayle, and the entire Trumpet Vine team as our caterers. In hindsight, I can say that the criteria for success in this department really comes down to two things: tasty, gorgeous food, and stellar customer service. Trumpet Vine delivered both. When was the last time the thought of catered food, served in a barn, in the middle of nowhere, without a kitchen in sight made your mouth water? Well, mine just did. Many guests complimented the food. In fact, several are still talking about it. Flexible, gracious, down-​to-​earth, friendly, available, helpful. Exceeded my expectations, without a doubt!

We were just married on the beach in Cayucos, CA and hired Trumpet Vine to cater our our wedding. There is so much to say here, but…
FIRST, the food was wonderful! We got so many compliments on the food from our guests. The Tri-​tip was cooked perfectly, the chicken was moist and delicious, there was a roasted summer tomato dish that blew our freekin’ minds, fresh peach and arugula salad, savory breads and, oh, the appetizers… all were WONDERFUL. Fantastic service throughout.
SECOND. The staff worked their tails off to make the best night of our lives even better. They were working in a small space. In fact, I’m not sure how they even could get everything done in such a confined space. They never made any issue with it, they just got it done with a smile. Gayle’s team really made a huge impact on our event. Very friendly, very professional.
THIRD. Cleanup. The place was spotless, and they even brought our chairs up from the beach (which was a considerable distance.) We made no request to have that done, they just did it to be nice.
We can’t thank Gayle and Trumpet Vine enough for being a real highlight for our special night. Highly recommended.

Trumpet Vine is a fantastic catering option in the SLO area. We worked with Gayle to plan a menu full of great food and drinks. They were always prompt with emails and Gayle must have answered 1000 questions of me throughout our time working together. They helped coordinate our rental services, which took a huge load off from my mind! Not only does the food taste delicious, but it was interactive, multi-​faceted (we did several stations) and fun! Their design for presentation truly fit what we were looking for and had many vintage looking or rustic pieces. From beginning of guest arrival to the end of the night, Trumpet Vine delivers everything you could have dreamed for your day.

Trumpet Vine just catered our wedding. Everything could not have been more prefect. They really worked with us to create our vision with the food. Every last bite was amazing-​all the guests raved about the food. We had one guest who owns his own restaurant; he went out of his way to let us know this was the best wedding food he has ever had!
They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to help us with every possible detail. The accessories they brought to display and serve the food were totally in line with our wedding style and fit in beautifully. The staff they brought to serve our guests were very professional and worked very hard all night.
They also delivered food for me and my bridesmaids the day of the wedding and it was equally amazing. No one went hungry that is for sure! The portions were very generous for lunch and dinner. They also sent us home with a ton of left overs, packed into a really cute basket we will have forever. Everyone loved the left overs.
I would never hesitate to recommend Trumpet Vine for any catering need you have.

We used Trumpet Vine for our wedding and we could not be happier with our choice! The food is amazing! The best thing one of our guest said was that the food was not «wedding food,» which after years of attending weddings with rubbery chicken and cold potatoes, it was nice to have an actual, beautiful and delicious meal.
Not only is their food amazing, but the presentation of the food is perfect. If you are a picky bride, like I was, you need to use Trumpet Vine. Their attention to detail and little additions, such as a welcome station with lemonade, ice tea and strawberries or their «send off sweets» of brownies and a cartoon of milk, is what makes them stand out above the crowd.

As a bride you have three things that MUST be perfect. FOOD, WINE and that darn DRESS! I have to say the food was UNREAL. All of our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. From the welcome drink station to the sit down family style yummies I couldn’t of asked for a better experience. The presentation was AMAZING. Not to mention Jennie, man oh man. How do I thank you. You and your whole team are truly amazing. I will recommend you for years and years to come. Thank you for making my (and 115 other peoples) day and tummy happy.
