Absolutely the best shiatsu massage I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend stopping in.

A friend told me about this place. if I drove by I would not have seen it. The place does not look like much, but the massage was Excellent.
Seriously a 2 hour Massage that really relaxed me, head to toe.
Jenny took the time to find out what areas I needed work on the most.
I plan on going back as often as possible.
Don’t forget to ask about the Hot stones very nice touch.

Jean is a generous and technically proficient masseuse. She went above and beyond in her service, showing me how to further take care of my body and aches when I am unable to even get a massage. I highly recommend this place! It is super affordable and great service! I cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you for making me feel so much better!

A weight off my shoulders!!! I booked a last minute appointment here yesterday, and was not dissapointed. Jean — who I believe is the owner — gave me an expert full-​spine deep-​tissue massage. Do not expect Burke — Williams décor or ambience. Do expect: atention to your pain-​relief, kindness, and thorough knowledge of physiology and kinesiology; she knew exactly what caused my pain, which tendon in my back to pay attention to, and gave me follow up stretches to care for it. I had a friend in town for one day only, and she asked if i could make an appointment for her to get a massage. We made an appointment the day prior, and the next day, when she showed up for her massage, no one was there. We received no call, no nothing. Apparently the masseuse had some car problems and went to a mechanic… but couldn’t she call to notify her upcoming appointment? All in all, I found this place to be EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I don’t know what I would do without this place — I discovered this place at the beginning of the year when I was desperate for a last minute deep tissue massage and this was the only place that had availability… and boy am I glad I went. Ever since then, I haven’t looked back and am a regular. I studied massage therapy myself and have also gone to many other places for massages, but have to say Jing is one of the best I’ve had yet. Not only is she very experienced and skilled in her trade, she is also one of the kindest and hard-​working people I know. You can tell that she literally puts her all into her trade, and it’s evident when you’ve had a massage with her. I come here regularly, and always leave de-​stressed and relieved. Jing is very professional, and really values and cares for her guests, which is hard to find these days.

This place is great! I research most everything on Unilocal before going somewhere new. My husband and I decided to give this place a try even though it did not have many reviews online because we were short on time. Boy are we glad we tried it out. Jing and Sue go the extra mile to really give a great massage. They worked on our problem areas and even told me exercises to do at home that would help. They genuinely care and don’t just go through a normal massage routine but cater their massage to your needs. I highly recommend this place.

Hands down, this is one of the best massages I ever got!
The hot towels on my back were just the beginning, followed by Miss Jing and Sue
hands on my sore neck and back, both helped me to feel great after my massage.

I just moved to Pasadena a couple weeks ago and wanted to find a new massage place close by. I’ve had back pain for the past two days because of a minor kidney infection and the lady who worked the front was so sweet and amazing with the massage. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She made sure to ask if she was using too much pressure and even after the massage made me feel like I was part of the family by telling me that I should come back to eat too haha. I thought it was cute. I would definitely recommend this place

Have gone twice. Both times I was massaged by the woman who seemed to be the owner, both times got a very healing massage. Good communication, lots of strength and confidence from the masseuse, and I think she went a little longer than the hour I paid for because she wanted to make sure she did a good job. Very professional. Highly recommended.

Shiatsu of Pasadena is great, the best in Pasadena! I’ve been there many times and the massage therapists are all very professional and obviously have a lot of experience. The combo massage is ideal, but they also do hot stone, or deep tissue. Jing is great, but all of the technicians do a really good job, and the price is very reasonable. I have recommended them to friends and they’ve all become regulars.

I had a terrible experience. I bought a Group-​on type certificate for this place for a RELAXING massage. Upon trying to cash in on the deal, I was told the certificate wasn’t actually for a shiatsu massage – that’s just the name of the store. For an actual shiatsu massage, the price was going to be higher. I was disappointed, but not dissuaded. My appointment was supposed to start at 11:00, but they hadn’t even opened the doors at 11:00. Then, when they did open, the lady was less than friendly. I told her I had a voucher, and she asked me for a print out. I told her that the offer stated that it could be printed out, OR could be presented on a smartphone – which is what I was doing – showing her the number on my phone. She started yelling at me. I didn’t drive a long way to have what was supposed to be a relaxing experience turn into a shouting match. I never even got to the massage part – the office people were so inefficient and RUDE. They had terrible customer service and poor people skills. I will NEVER go back there or recommend it. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. I called and complained to Group-​on, who issued me a refund. There are plenty of massage places that deserve my money more. Awful. :(

I absolutely love this place! Jing is wonderful and she really has healing hands! I have been suffering from terrible back spasms and pain and after one massage with her I came to find that my entire body had knots throughout. I was completely tense and tight from my neck down to my calves. Walking, standing and sitting and even driving have been so painful for the last 4 months and with just 2 visits to Jing and daily muscle stretching via yoga (as recommended by Jing) and my massage roller I am finally able to live my daily life with almost no pain. I will be visiting her more this week and I plan to see her at least twice a month to continue my recovery. I feel 90% better and I know my muscle ailments will just continue to heal with more visits. The price for a 1 hour massage is more than reasonable and I will never go anywhere else. Ever again. Jing really cares about your well being and my experience here has been better than any physical therapy or chiropractic doctors that I have seen. If you are hurt, she’ll fix you right up and the relaxation is just a bonus!

The place is very quiet and clean. The owner, who is an elegant lady from Singapore, is an expert in massage therapy. My friend and I both had a full body massage for $ 45 for the hour, and it is amazing. You can easily tell that the lady is very experienced because her shiatsu pressure is right on the money. She doesn’t scratch your scalp or press on your bones, or massage too softly like many massage places out there. And she would always ask you if the pressure is too tense or soft.
I told her my neck and shoulders are stiff, and she really listens to and addresses my needs. The massage is a blend of Japanese shiatsu and Swedish hot stone therapy. It was indeed very soothing and rejuvenating. At the end of the massage, she then gives me demonstrations on how to loosen my neck and shoulder through mild stretching movements. She really cares about the well-​being of her customers. At the end of the massage, my friend and I both got water and hot tea and had a nice conversation with them.
This is certainly one of the best massage experiences I have ever had, and would definitely recommend to my friends and go back again.

BEWARE: DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!!!
First time here because of the good reviews I saw on Unilocal.BUT… Terrible service, and over-​priced. Spent money and came out with pain and soreness. Had to find another masseuse to relieve the pain I had from this place.

I just stumbled upon Shiatsu of Pasadena while walking and made an appt. same day. I had a fantastic Shiatsu and deep tissue massage by Jing. She worked all my kinks and soreness out. Will definitely be back again!

I was in the area and decided to get a massage cause I was really sore from a weekend snowboarding trip. I was literally walking around and moving like I was 80 years old… –_-;;
Omg it’s one of the best massages I ever had! The lady there really worked out any stiffness I had. She even put me in some weird positions, but holy crap she was able to massage muscles i didn’t even know i had lol. Eventhough I was still sore when I left, I could freely move all my limbs and felt a lot better. I think the lady’s name was Jing or Jean.
I will definitely be back to try out the more relaxing massages if I’m ever in the area again. Definitely recommend!

I came with no idea what to expect, since there were no reviews on Unilocal.But I was pleasantly surprised with the massage. My therapist, Jean (I think?) asked me what I wanted and suggested a mixed massage. She really got into it and worked out all my kinks and knots like if I was bread. It was firm yet not too painful. I will definitely be back!

Upon entering the spa, you’re greeted by a sweet, young Asian lady. My friend and I just dropped in without making an appointment to see if there was any availability. Luckily, two masseuses were available. We each was then appointed to our individual room. So this is no foot massage place like ones you find on Valley Blvd. This is a legit spa.
So this is their process with the 60 minutes full body massage:
1) Gently massaging your full body to loosing your muscle
2) Applied oil and continued massaging
3) Then patting you down
My masseuse (Judith) did a really good job in terms of adjusting to the strength I wanted. So just let your masseuse know. She is also licensed, so no need to worry about whether she knows what she is doing. She told me her other specialty is facial; I will be sure to return to give that a try. My friend told me her masseuse was also very good. She felt all loosen up and relaxed afterward.
One of my pet peeve is cleanliness, especially when it comes to places like this, where they will be touching me with their naked hands. As far as I have observed, clean sheets, towels, machine, bathroom and etc.
One more thing, ten services and you get one FREE! I’ll sure be back to try out other services they offer (facial, waxing and other kind of massage).
