I had very bad experience with this office, because they don’t think about patient. They think only about how to get more money from patient. First my bill was for $ 5000 just for cleaning for one year and they force me to sign paper and make first payment. When I checked with my insurance — no paper were submitted. Second time they overcharged me for crown $ 1000. When I submitted claim to my insurance we found that they overcharged me and had to return money. I had difficult time to get money back. Terrible owner who control all situation with money. They had good doctors, but they don’t want to schedule appointment with them if you not following their rules. People don’t be stupid.

I had major extensive dental work done at this office, and I was always treated with excellent care. I am very happy with my new smile. I have always had a major fear of the dentist, and everyone of the dentists, and oral surgeons that worked with me put to rest all fears I had to rest. With all of the work I had done, I never felt an ounce of pain, and very minimal discomfort. Also, I compared prices for the work I had done, which included route canals, veneers, and crowns, and I was charged much less than I would have been at another dentist. I highly recommend this place.

I visited the office last week, and had a great experience with them; I did not get over charged, and they were very friendly and helpful. Also before I went, I kind of knew what I needed to get done, and the results they suggested were appropriate and at a fair price. I totally recommend coming to this office.

This place is a hellhole. They are literally crooks. Walking in their doors was the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life.
In the process of getting my stolen money back. Here’s what I learned:
1. Premier Care Dental Group is guilty of «Fraudulent Billing.» This means, that in addition to billing the insurance. They are also billing you the maximum amount. A fraud known as «double dipping.»
2. Before you begin your process in getting your money back, you will need an itemized receipt from Premier Care Dental Group. DO NOT LET THEM KNOW YOU’RE UPSET. This will only cause them to be even less cooperative, Just let them know you need an itemized receipt for your records. You can get a receipt, it will take 7 – 10 days, yes, you read that right. It will take them 7 – 10 days to print you a receipt, this is because they have to create a less shady bill then the one they initially showed you. DO ALL YOUR CONTACT BY EMAIL!!! You will want everything in writing. They often «forget» what they said. Their email address is:
You may also fax them, but from my experience their fax is never actually functioning.
3. Contact your insurance and get an itemized copy of each of your claims. You will notice that what your insurance claims the patient owes is FAR less than what they charged you. You will need these forms when contacting your credit card company. File a «Grievance» with your insurance. In the form be very specific but to the point. Begin the form by stating you are filling a «Fraudulent Billing» issue. On [insert date] my claim states patient owes [insert dollar amount], Premier Care Dental Group billed me [insert dollar amount]. Also state you were charged in full prior to services being completed. This demonstrates a HUGE red flag. The provider is not allowed to bill you until the claim has been processed.
4. Contact your credit card company and inform them of a fraudulent charge. Not only were you charged for services not yet completed, but you were over charged.
5. When submitting forms to both your insurance and your credit card. write your information clearly at the top right corner of each page you’re submitting. Learn where you can make cheap copies and send faxes. You’ll be doing this a lot. Contact your insurance and credit card company to know what information is necessary. It may be your name, date of birth, ID number, tracking number, etc.
6. Minimize contact with the criminal dental practice. If you mistakenly contact them, ignore everything they instruct you to do. DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY ASK. They are only working to serve themselves.
7. Try to gather as much contact information as possible… and try to ruin their lives. I’m kidding of course.

8. THEY WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL. When you call, be prepared to wait. You might have to wait an hour for them to answer your call. Just wait. Sorry, but that’s just how it will have to be. NEVER LET THEM HANG UP THE PHONE ON YOU. Once you get them on the line, make sure they respond to all your demands. But like I said, you really should be emailing. They often don’t respond to those either, but at least you’ll have a record in case you sue.
9. DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED. They are criminals. What they are doing is illegal. The law is on your side. Unfortunately, you got scammed. But fortunately for you, you have an insurance and credit card company to back you up.
10. They were formally known as DENTAL PLUS DENTAL GROUP. Located at the same location. You can find their slew of lawsuits at the L.A. Superior Court website.

I’ve been a patient (an impatient one) with this for place at least 17 years, under the previous clown-​owner Dr Roisman and now under these new owners. Not much has changed. They still try to upsell every chance they can. Same scare tactics and pressure to pay for additional services. I’m stuck with these people until the next open enrollment. I don’t expect my teeth will fall out until such time I can sign up with a real dentist. The worst of the bunch, other than the unethical dentists who try to scare you into signing up for unnecessary procedures, is Carmen. She’s rude, condescending and useless.

Yeah, everything went fine, including handling some minor issues post-​op rapidly and attentively.

It is almost a year and I am still dealing with these people to get my refund!
I disputed the extra charges through the credit card issuer, and only then they were ready to give me a check. But they aren’t going to refund it because it will make them look so bad and shady in credit card issuers eyes.

This place is a scam.
They claimed that I needed a «deep cleaning,» which costs $ 600! Even though I have insurance! I had just seen a dentist a month ago (under my old insurance /​old job), who said my teeth were fine.
I requested a regular cleaning instead, which they admitted is complimentary with my insurance. They refused! They claimed that they could only do the «deep cleaning,» which costs $ 600.
They use scam tactics. I asked them how much a regular cleaning is, because I had checked my insurance documents, which said it was complimentary. They initially refused to respond, saying «We can only help you do the *right* thing.» Eventually, I got them to admit a regular cleaning is complimentary, but only after they said: «Okay, well, if you don’t want to do the *right* thing …»

All they’ve done is change their name from Dental Plus. 54 lawsuits when I took them to court! They will appeal the lower court ruling to drive it to Superior Court… they have more lawyers than you can imagine for obvious reasons. Save your filing fees in advance and just go somewhere else. I’ve been going at these people for YEARS to save your money and stop them from getting it. $ 9,000 for an unfinished root canal + $ 2,000 to redo-​finish it = $ 11,000 for work I’m not even sure I ever needed, as to this day, at 43, I’ve never even had a cavity. Steer clear, my fellow future suckers!!!

They don’t care about your dental health, all they do is overcharge you. They are greedy and money hungry.
I highly recommend finding another dentist.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The negative reviews are true. I personally am a victim to there outrageous dental costs and sly tactics. I just wish I followed Unilocal before I decided to allows these people to work on my teeth. My monthly dental credit bill surely reminds me to do my research next time.

The reason I put a single is because there is no option to put negative amount of stars. Don’t ever go to this place. It took them over 6 month 2 fix 1 tooth. Every time there is a different so called «specialist». My paper got lost several times. Got root canal done twice on the same tooth. This place should be under criminal investigation for negligence. !
Save your time, money and health — stay away from this place.

**LONG STORY SHORT, DO NOT GO HERE. THEY CHARGED ME $ 800 FOR A PROCEDURE THAT WAS NEVER DONE**
If I could give zero stars, I would. About six months or so, I went in for a check up. They told me that I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed. That’s fine. They forced me to wait an hour after my check up to speak to their financial adviser, Abigail. She set up an appointment for me, and told me that I HAD TO PAY UP FRONT. $ 800. EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS. With a little coaxing and manipulation, I gave in. Yeah, my stupid mistake. However, after I read their Unilocal reviews and realized they are basically crooks who manipulate people into doing procedures they don’t really need. I really wanted to go get a second opinion. I immediately called back and cancelled my appointment and requested for a refund. Abigail said that I would be refunded in the next two weeks. I’ve recorded every single time that I spoke with her over the phone. Even my mother called a couple times when I was away on business. Every time Abigail says that I would be refunded within the next couple of weeks but still. No. Refund.
And the best of it all, is that I threatened to report them to the BBB and to get my attorney involved, and still no refund. I literally just called her 10 minutes ago and the receptionist said «Yes, she’s in… however she would just like to take a message.» The hell!!!
These people are straight up crooks.

Please Avoid this place, they are scare and pressure people who are having medical issues and are desperate. They put in more effort to add on more to their medical bill rather then help you with ur medical needs.
Also be warned if you give them your information they will call and try to sell you on medical procedures like a used cars salesman, tacky

If they tell you need major dental work, get a second opinion. They also seem reluctant to send out bills. Every time I returned it seemed like I had a balance due. When I called to ask if I owed money, was told I would need to come in.
Never going back!

Aye yai yai. I walked in to get my teeth cleaned, and got this instead.
«The Deep clean procedure «
Cost: ~2000. $ 250 for the procedure + antibiotic ($ 35 per tooth, times 32 teeth. Not covered by insurance.)
The main problem I had was plaque between my teeth (because I’m bad about flossing). If the source of the problem was plaque that was in between my teeth, then the obvious solution would be to just remove it (through flossing, or commercially available soft picks).
It was unclear how the invasive and expensive procedure that they advocated was more effective than if I just went home and adding flossing + gargling to my regimen.
«Your teeth can still be saved».
High pressure scare tactics + Transparent emotional manipulation.
I was given all of these doom and gloom projections about how my teeth were going to fall off. And although my teeth were in a poor condition and on the brink of decay, my teeth «could still be saved», if I «acted now» and dumped $ 2000 on a deep clean.
And I saw through around 30 minutes of emotional manipulation, about how my front teeth would certainly fall off if I continued upon the road that I was on, but I could avoid that dire fair if, once I again, I «acted now».
«Microcavities»
It was pretty clear that these people capitalized upon their customer’s inability to interpret X-​rays for themselves. I was told that I had like 10 (! for a person who gets their teeth cleaned yearly, and brushes twice a day) «microcavities». The dentist refused to explain how they concluded that I got a cavity based on the X-​Ray, instead resorting to repeating «I have done this for 9 years» .
Specifically, the main thing that they diagnose is «microcavities», which they failed to show on the X-​ray. Additionally the way they scored microcavities didn’t really seem to follow any known methodology (Here is a link to a primer :

«Your insurance will cover most of the costs…»
The insurance counselors tried to massage the information to make it seem as though things cost a lot less than they actually did. The woman I talked to claim that insurance covered 80% of this treatment.
However, there were a lot of hidden costs that they failed to disclosed, primarily the mandatory antibiotic treatment ($ 300 régime), as well as antibiotic injection after the cleaning ($ 35/​tooth, not covered by insurance).
That’s a fairly substantial markup on this, since just buying the antibiotic by itself (even sterile-​filtered cell culture grade solution from sigma aldrich) will cost $ 23 (

Positives
Most of the hygienists and the technicians are friendly and helpful. But it’s hard to tell if they’re actually great at they’re jobs, or if it’s because everything else is just so abysmal in comparison.

They are trying to change their spots but can’t. These people are absolute crooks who care nothing about your interests.

I’m really disappointed to read these reviews because this is my dentist. But, the reviewers are right. The couple of dentists I’ve seen were good and hygienists are very good. The problem is my «relationship» is with the counselors (finance people), not the practitioners. Oh, and I don’t want a relationship with these counselors. The couple of counselors I’ve seen totally lack customer service skills and personality. But, this is more a reflection on the ownership and management and not the individuals.
So after you get out of the dental chair, you are ushered to the counselor who schedules your next visit and tells you what your next visit will cost. Of course, nothing is ever covered by insurance. And, they want you to pay in advance for your next visit. Who does that?! These counselors can’t give me treatment options or alternatives so they add absolutely no value to my dental visit. In fact, the counselors take what was a decent visit and turn it into and awful experience.
Contrast this with a recent visit to urgent care. Everyone that I came in contact (including the physician) with at urgent care understood my insurance, my co-​pay, my pharmacy coverage… everything. My treatment plan considered my insurance and made sure my out of pocket expenses were minimal. The folks at Premier Care Dental couldn’t care less about my out pocket expenses. I get the feeling, as long as money is leaving my pocket and going into theirs, they’re good.
Because of this, I will be looking for a new dentist. What has to change with Premier is their counselors and the way they do business. Why can’t the dentist or the hygienist talk me about my plan and the costs… even at a high level? I’m not going to discuss spending what could be a significant amount of money with these counselors. Let’s be clear, I’m not leaving this practice because of the hygienist or the care from the dentist, but because of their business practices. If Premier Care can’t help me maximize my very good dental insurance, I’m going to a dentist who can.
When I leave my dental appointment, I want to feel good… not like I have been pick pocketed.

Formerly Dental Plus, I had gone to these people 5 years ago. I am no longer a patient with these trolls but I wanted to give their new «name» a bad review. If you haven’t gone here yet or are considering, DO NOT COME HERE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR WALLET AND YOUR SANITY! They will charge you for every nook and cranny in your mouth and upsell you from a waterpik to a toothbrush that will possibly grant wishes (it does not).
Trying to reason with these people is basically like trying to reason with a stubborn mule.
Again, DO NOT COME HERE!

I’m going to give short, bullet point reasons why you shouldn’t go/​what i experienced.
1) They are VERY unwilling to work with you (even if you previously spent over $ 5000 out of pocket with them in 6 months) if you have to cancel due to illness or an emergency. You had better be dead if you couldnt show up. With or without a call. So expect to pay that cancel fee.
2) The up-​selling will not stop from the moment you sit in the chair.
3) There is no reassurance, only the constant badgering about how bad your teeth are (mind you, I only had 1 cavity) yet they treated me as though my mouth was rotting and like i needed braces. I was blessed with almost perfectly straight teeth… yet they STILL wanted to pressure me into braces.
4) They are overpriced. I challenge you to compare their prices to ANY other dentist. Even by Pasadena standards, they are outrageous.
5) The members of the front office staff are much more worried about their hair than their service to patients.
This was the short list, I could go on, but you get the drift. Avoid at all costs!
