Excellent front office staff and hygienists. Extra kudos to Dr. Pawl. He’s no nonsense, no BS, and will only do the work you need. After hearing horror stories from my mom about her dentist and how he wanted thousands upon thousands of dollars to fix the shoddy work they did at her dentist in Glendale, I count my lucky stars that I’m with Dr. Pawl. He and the rest of the staff are friendly and attentive. You may feel the facilities need an update, but that’s nothing compared to the superior service you get. A+!

I’ve got to start out by saying it was more than worth the wait… I have the most beautiful perfect teeth you can imagine. I’ve always hated dentists, not sure if it was because I didn’t like my grandfather who was president of the dental association and personal dentist of Gov. Goodwin Jess«Goodie» Knight or I didn’t like him because he was a dentist; either way because of my grandfather I always had beautiful straight nearly perfect teeth, however due to health issues I began losing them to the point of needing serious dental intervention. I invested a couple of thousand dollars for restorative dentistry and able to stave off the inevitable for a few years but ultimately I was forced to admit I was fighting a losing battle. A friend recommended Dr. Pawl so highly I made an appointment for implants. The office is not high end glamorous but it is clean, comfortable, up-to-date, and I was never kept waiting for more than a couple of minutes; the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always cheerful. Dr. Pawl has a great sense of humor and terrific chairside manner, but most importantly he’s highly skilled in dentistry. We’ve all heard advertisements promising to correct years of dental neglect by having multiple procedures performed in just one or two visits, but Dr. Pawl explained those procedures rarely last more than a few years before you’re back in the chair. Yes it seemed to take forever, 18 months in total but the down time between each process ensured my implants would last almost indefinitely. Dr. Pawl gave me the ability to eat comfortably, and a smile I couldn’t wait to show off!

Dr. Pawl at Mir dental is the best. I am so glad I found him. Previously, I was a patient at Dental Plus(dr Roisman) just across the street. I went to Dr Roisman and got an estimate of work for about $ 8000. Couldn’t swing it so a friend of mine recommended Dr. Pawl at Mir. Best thing I ever did. I hate dentists but dr. Pawl is great. He fixed me up good as new and for $ 7000 less.(Roisman is a crook!) I couldn’t be happier. Nice job– great price. Avoid Dental Plus like the plague. Give Dr Pawl a try. Best dentist in Pasadena.

I find the previous review on Dr Pawl totally crazy. I have been with Dr Pawl for 10 years. I have been a registered nurse for 22 years and I know good patient care. I read the other reviews by the Previous reviewer. Mostly for spa treatements. She should have gone to the spa again instead of slandering a great dentist. Oh and if she had her facts straight she would know that Dr Kates is not long gone. He is there at least once a week

I have to disagree with the other reviewer. This poor rating is strictly for the two dentists operating at this facility. Dr. William Kates(the previous owner) was great — but he is long gone. First the positive, the front office staff does ALL they can to keep this office running. They are efficient, friendly and professional. It’s not their fault the practice is run how it is. The dental hygienists who work there are all very good. If you need a cleaning, this practice is affordable and fine. If you need ANY kind of dental work, don’t walk — RUN out of this practice. The equipment and facility are completely outdated. Not one penny has been put back INTO the practice to modernize and keep this facility up to par. There is nothing more disappointing then lying in a dental chair to look up to see filthy ventilation systems and water stained ceilings. The dentists, especially Dr. Paul have limited to no bed side manner and limited dentistry skills. If it wasn’t for their dental assistants, this place would cease to operate. Luckily, I was referred by a friend to and can now highly recommend Dr. David Deter in La Canada. Worth every penny.
