Hampton Inn Parsippany

This place was great! The lobby was welcoming and freakishly clean. I loved the cute little coffee and tea bar, the bowls of apples, and the freshly baked, soft cookies. The front desk people were nice. The room was clean with a cozy bed. The amenities were great — you could walk down the hall to the attached Hilton and use the awesome gym (there’s quite a few treadmills and ellipticals, medicine balls and free weights), and the free breakfast was great! Not super fresh but had a variety of heat and serve stuff (eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and my favorites — make your own waffles!). My only complaints were that the maids were kinda in your face. Not rude, but they would yell things down the hallway to me (instead of just walking up to me and talking) and would constantly rush in the elevator without looking so I would always run into them on my way out. Also — the cigarette butts on the steps of the staircase for the whole five days I was there were not cute! Overall though, it was a good stay and I was impressed!!!

On one of our trips to NY, this was where my dad decided to book our hotel. He wanted to save money by not staying on the island. As far as the hotel itself it was fine. Clean and very affordable. It just made driving into the city an extra hour each day. We did end up visiting atlantic city, which is in NJ, but this hotel was more west than south so it didn’t help. But if you’re looking to save some money it’s not too bad.

I’ve had HHonors elite status for a handful of years. I travel to the Parsippany area quite regularly avoid this property just as regularly. On my last stay my bathtub looked like it was poorly repainted in the not so distant past and was now peeling. On this last stay there were at least 5 television stations on the TV that had no signal. This included ABC and Cartoon Network (no adult swim during this stay).
Add to this the lack of refrigerators and microwaves in the room and this is a property worth passing up. It’s just so sad when the properly apportioned Hilton is in the same parking lot.

Room was very spacious with comfortable beds.
Only one drawback. There are no microwave or fridge in the room. Front desk has a fridge and will store your item and there is a microwave– self serve by the front desk where refreshments are sold.
Coffee machine maker cord is short. Outlet most accessible and conducive was the nightstand between the beds.
Hot breakfast served– scrambled eggs and Kielbasa was available for today. Make your own waffles, also pastries, and the continental breakfast was available too.
Definitely, a hotel worth staying again and again if you are heading to NYC. You can not beat the price.

I stayed here on a visit to family and was told upon check in that there would be a power outage for 12 hours the following day. I was given the option of going somewhere else but it was already late at night and we are a family with 3 kids including a newborn. I tried to have them discount the day without power (which we spent away until 930 pm) but the manager did not feel like he had to provide that kind of customer service. No warning about this issue even though they must have known far in advance. I would have stayed elsewhere. The hotel otherwise was clean but nothing special and overpriced considering the suburban location and many other options.

I stayed here for 2 nights because I was visiting some friends in the area. The price was great. The hotel was totally average. It met my needs. breakfast was OK– decent but not amazing. It’s an older Hampton Inn so it isn’t snazzy and new but the room was spacious and relatively quiet. The carpets were clean and I slept well. I did notice some cracks on the ceiling of the bathroom but again things were clean and functioned well. I really appreciated the gym (in the Hilton… connected) the equipment was new and worked well. The front desk staff was so nice and kind. I’d stay here again if I find myself in the area.

they should’ve told guests that they were connected to the Hilton and they are undergoing construction BEFORE booking. Other than that, a standard hampton inn

I was fortunate enough to attend a Barrister’s Ball at the Hampton Inn. This is a great venue for it.
First of all, the hotel is easy to get to. That may not sound notable but I have attended many events at other venue where we easily got lost.
The ballroom itself is huge. We easily had more than 200 people attend with plenty of space. The cocktail hour happened outside in the ballroom in another spacious area where we had no problem mingling with the crowd.
I have no complaints about the food or service but at the same time nothing stood out either. I will be back again next week and hope I am further impressed the second time around.

My boyfriend and I attended a conference/​meeting with a few friends recently at the Hilton Hotel which is connected to the Hampton Inn as well.
It’s a pretty nice hotel. I felt the hospitality at this hotel was up-​to-​par. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I love that once you enter in, there’s a nice roomy lobby and there’s a lot of seating/​quiet area for you to do your work or hang out. The breakfast bar was simple, but good food. The WiFi at the Hampton Inn was good.
Everything in the room I stayed in was neat and organized. Unfortunately, there was one instance at this hotel that scared me a bit. My boyfriend, our friend & his fiancé, and I got stuck in an elevator with 5 – 8 other people right on the floor we were suppose to get off. It took approximately 10 minutes, before we got help. Luckily the elevator wasn’t too filled with people or I’d be claustrophobic.
I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn. This was definitely one of the better hotels I’ve been to.

Pretty nice place. Basic hotel and connection to the Hilton is a big plus. Very nice gym with plenty of equipment (ellipticals, treadmills, dumbbells, pull up bar). Simple breakfast bar, but good food. Staff is very friendly and addresses any problems quickly. Agree with other posts that it’s a bit confusing to navigate the business park at night. Enjoy the never ending, scalding hot water — you’ll never have to take a cold shower here.

We had a large party staying here for the holidays, we were treated as unwelcome guests by management. Even the ladies that serve breakfast grumbled to themselves as they worked .“What do they think we are Robots”.
The pool was dimly lit and everything was wet, the towels supplied were child size and not enough for the number of guests. The rooms also did not smell clean when you came in, sort of a musty smell.
The hotel is also very hard to access as it is built on to the back of a Hilton. We could not find the enterance and ended up driving around surounding parking lots.
The worst part of the stay was the hotel manager. This is not a family place nor a friendly place, Hilton/​should be ashamed

I found this hotel to be just OK. The TV in the room did not get many channels (no ESPN), and those that did come in were not too clear. I also did not find the front desk staff to helpful. I asked for a recommendation for dinner and I was told Ruth Chris in the attached Hilton. While that is a great place, I asked if there was anything else around. She just gave me a list. A little more personalized attention would have be better.

Nice place. Upgraded me to a suite. Attached to the Hilton. A little hard getting into the business park at night. You can see the hotel but how to get there. The check in could have been a little friendlier. Coffee in the Lobby at 5pm was cold and no cookies! Wtf?

Staff is outstanding, Darren is a hard working, dedicated employee. They always exceed my expectations.
