Craig Tinder earned his BA from Wheaton College in 1992 and his MA from the University of Chicago in 1998. He was a social worker, therapist and adjunct professor before shifting full-​time to real estate in 2001 (although he still maintains his LCSW). Social Work is about building relationships, identifying needs, and matching them with resources and that is exactly what Craig does as a Real Estate professional. Craig lives with his wife and son in Park Ridge, IL.

I recently worked with Craig in selling my townhouse in Deerfield. It is very easy working with Craig as he’s always professional, responsive and timely. Once we had the property listed, I didn’t have to worry about anything. Craig took the wheel and provided updates even if I didn’t request them. He was very transparent about feedback and I found his honesty refreshing. His experience started to show when handling multiple offers. This being the first time I’ve ever sold property, he also didn’t mind taking the time to educate me and provide guidance. I would work with him again in the future and recommend him to my family and friends. You can trust that you’re in great hands with Craig.

Craig was a great realtor for those looking to buy in Chicagoland. We didn’t know too much about the area; He was very knowledgable of the neighborhood, school districts, traffic patterns etc. We were able to see a variety of homes in a short period of time (per request) and he was always willing to accommodate. It was great to have a realtor that cared about our future in the home, not just the immediate sale. Craig did an excellent job in helping my wife and I find our home. He started by showing us several styles of homes so we could understand and figure out what we wanted. He did not rush or push us to settle on a home we didn’t love and was very supportive in our search.
Once we found our home Craig was willing to see it an extra time before putting in the offer. He helped us to negotiate aggressively and help us get the home for 5% under the asking price. He understood the value of the home and wanted to make sure we didn’t pay more than it was worth.
Since moving in, Craig has recommended many people to help make the new house feel like our home (Fence company, window company, sprinkler company, …, etc). Craig is not only a great Realtor but and excellent contact when it comes to making home improvements. We definitely will recommend him to all of our friends and family looking to buy/​sell their home.

Real estate transactions require a personal touch. Craig Tinder lives up to those requirements and then some. From beginning to end, Craig stays on top of the deal. There are three qualities you need in your Realtor: intelligence, integrity, and interpersonal skills. They have to be smart — Craig has a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago. They have to be honest — Craig always has my best interest at heart.
