History

Established in 2004.

Este Pizza opened its doors on October 25, 2004 in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City, UT. The first few years Este was a small operation but our size didn’t stop us from serving delicious, fresh, high quality Pizza. 10 years later we have expanded to three locations with the newest being in Park City.

In 2013 & 2014 Este won «Best Pizza in Utah» by the City Weekly Magazine.

Business Owner

Josh has worked closely with the owners of both Este Sugar House and Este Downtown throughout the years. He has learned through years of professional experience how to properly and effectively run a fluid and positive kitchen. He has learned from this experience how to produce a consistent and quality product. Needless to say, Josh is extremely excited to open his own Este! As the Head Chef Josh strives to bring you the best quality food in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

As we all know, if a Chef is happy and loves his work, the food will show it.

Researched a lot of pizza places before deciding — couldn’t have been happier! The crust was incredible — perfect thickness and crispy edges. We ordered a Lasagna pizza which had tomato sauce, meatballs, ricotta and mozzarella. The outdoor seating is nice!

Came to park city for the day decided to try this establishment. We waited 20 minutes before we had to stand up and go find someone to help us. Then we waited another 20 minute to get drinks. They forgot our appetizers. The pizza was just okay. The reason I gave two stars is they seemed very apologetic.

I had delivery and I would have given 2 stars for the food and service, but meh. Pizza (Italian Flag + sausage) wasn’t good and they even forgot to put my added topping, which took 30 minutes for them to come back and bring to me, so my pizza got cold already, and I don’t enjoy cold pizza like some people. I also ordered buffalo wings and they weren’t spicy, not even a bit! I’m really, really disappointed with this experience since this is the first time I’ve tried Este. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all and would not order return for another disappointment.

I am originally from the east coast, NJ, and pizza is king there. Este’s comes the closest for me to east coast pizza. Really great topping options and pizza combinations. The garlic knots are awesome and their wings are pretty good too. I love this place!

Este graciously accommodated our group of 8 on a Friday night by pulling together four tables – necessary because we ordered 4 pizzas. Every single one of those pizzas – Ol’ Vortman, a vegan Ol’ Vortman, chicken alfredo, and the green 4 – was phenomenal. Their garlic-​forward (but not overpowering) marinara sauce left me with an insatiable lust for more. This is great pizza at a very affordable price. The atmosphere was family-​friendly and casual, and the service was appropriate.

As a Park City local we finally had the opportunity to try Este… It was an obvious choice for us as one of us dining is vegan and looking forward to a good vegan pizza… The pizza was good and arrived at our table quickly… However the service was lacking and this will be the reason I will never return. Waitress was stand offish and frankly rude. With only three other tables seated you would have thought she was «busy» in fact too busy to ask if we wanted a drink… Water it was… Too busy to answer any questions about the menu… Too busy to say «you are welcome» with our every thank you… Thank you for the bringing the plates, thank you for the pizza, thank you for the check… Not one time did she ever say «you are welcome» not even a «no problem» … No problem! We won’t be back and it’s not because the food is awful… Your staff is awful

I had a wonderful experience. The overall atmosphere was great, the lighting and music levels were perfect, and while sound echoed easily, it never became too loud. I ordered the Breaded Cheese Ravioli to start and it was amazing, just the right balance between crunch and soft. They’re baked rather than fried, so they aren’t greasy, and the marinara it comes with has just the right amount of spices. I also ordered a buffalo chicken pizza. It was a bit large, 14″ for a small, but my waitress was completely on top of offering me boxes when I was finished. The pizza had an amazing buffalo flavor without it being overpowering, the only downside being that the crust was a bit more limp than I’d prefer it. The service was very good, the waitress being extremely polite and friendly, as well as very observant. I would absolutely eat here again.

In town for the weekend and chose to eat here. Was extremely satisfied all though the garlic knots were almost too garlicy. If that’s a thing. New York supreme pizza is amazing.

The food was good. We ordered the clay pizza and a calzone. However the service was HORRIBLE. We walked in to a basically empty restaurant but some tables were still not cleared from the previous guests. We waited approximately 10 minutes just to get menus. The wait for the food wasn’t long fortunately, but another table waited a while for the pizza to be brought to the table and it was waiting in the window to be brought out. If service would improve, I would definitely good again.

Lousy service or I should say lack of service. The server asked if we wanted to cancel our order after waiting 35mins. The Italian Flag pizza if you could call it pizza was mediocre at best. I thought you were safe as a tourist trusting a 4 star rating on Unilocal.Guessed wrong! My fiancé said she had better frozen pizzas. Fuego is close by and is 1000 times better.

The pizza was cold and bland. The crust was really good. We had the New York combo and the white pizza. Pretty dissapointing. The garlic knots were undercooked and had huge pieces of raw garlic on it. I love garlic but it was just not that great. I hate writing bad reviews but I hate ordering food expecting it to be good and its just not really.

Some of the best pizza I have had in a long time.
Stopped in tonight to try after hearing about this new place & reading the reviews on Unilocal.I am partial to NY style pizza (versus Chicago deep dish), but the sauce makes it or breaks it for me. Obviously, this is a «make».
I ordered pepperoni & black olive to go. Yum! Not super expensive either. While I waited, $ 3 glass of White House Wine. Not bad at all for $ 3. No clue what it was, but not bad. I would not go if you really want good wine, but it is a pizza joint– not focused on the wine. They do have a great beer selection though– not a beer drinker myself, but good choices.
Also, plenty of staff and the pizza was made fast! I noticed other reviews said slow service. Prime time Saturday night– was great tonight.
I will be back and I will bring others. Check it out.
