One Word: DELICIOUS! It’s probably the best Filipino food and with the best Turon out there. Definitely a must visit.

This place only sells 3 items. Turon, Beef Empanadas and Chicken Empanadas. So naturally with only 3 items on the menu I had to try everything. The empanadas were good, hot, filling and definitely worth the small price tag of $ 1.50 each. Now on to the Turon(fried banana rolls). Which thankfully I had tried before thanks to my sister. These things are delicious! They are perfectly crispy and flaky, with just the right amount of sweetness and banana filling. The Turon is definitely the star here. I could eat these every day, they are that good.

Some of the best turon! Very sweet and crispy(aka not soggy which is important). Parking is a little hard, so maybe try parking in the seafood city parking area and walk over. Although they usually have some available for pickup, you’re not always guaranteed the amount you want. So call ahead of time to just pick up.

Office Christmas party was a success with rave reviews of the food. That was not just typical Filipino food, there was a certain touch to it that made it a little special. Food servings were very generous, the delivery was reliable, they helped us set up. Price is so reasonable, we’ve had parties before were we had to stress out on what to serve, we are so glad that somebody referred this place to us. They are quite far from Irvine but, they still delivered all the way from Panorama City if you order enough for a certain number of guests. I can’t thank them enough for the great food and service. I highly recommend this place.

The turon is crunchy and sweet at .65 each, should only be .50 cents, really, its better than Valerio’s tho. The empanadas are ok too, $ 1 for the small one and $ 1.50 for the bigger one, very filling and tasty but i’ve had better

This would have been a 5 star rating if they hadn’t changed their recipe for their turon. Their turon is no longer the deliciousness that it used to be. The outer skin is no longer the crispy sweet goodness that used to be… now after a few hours to a day the wrapper outer skin is soggy. This was the go to place for turon, but sadly I will have to find a new place for my turon hankering.

I’ve only tried the empanadas and turon. The empanada could be more moist and more full of meat and veggies. They could use more seasonings but ive never tried anyone elses empanada. The turon is perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better snack.

Bombbbbb Asssssss Turon. The End. jk. lol The boyfriend and I bought 2 dozen($.65/each) and we literally ate like 6 of them within 5 minutes. Hahaha. The turons are pretty small, beautiful light color(not burnt), crunchy, glazed with some bomb sugar(wasn’t too sweet).mmm i’m drooling as i’m writing this post Lol. They also sell empanadas, but i’m not too much of a fan of that. Plenty of parking in the plaza where Yoshinoya is at, so get yourself some bombbbb turon. NOW!!! lol.

First time for me at this Filipino Bakery. Very good tasting turon. Usually you can tell right away how your turon is going to taste, just by looking at the product. If its real dark in color its not going to taste good. It should always be in a medium to lite in color and with a shinny color. For the most park many orders are called on the phone. So I would recommend you call and place your order. Many orders where their as I came in on this past Sunday. Most orders where already package. I would also say check your order. Its a very small little Bakery and they put out some good turons. Family was very happy with them, and had a great taste. I will return.

I came for the turron, it was just as I imagined.(I’m not Filipino, but fried banana is one of my favorites) I wish I had bought more, my kids enjoyed them as much as I did. We had some empanadas as well, which are a little different than what we are used to, we wound up putting hot sauce on them.(maybe that is not the way you’re supposed to eat them?) I am looking forward to ordering some trays of food for catering and for my birthday trying their cassava cake. A nice Filipino lady made it for me one Christmas many years ago, and I haven’t had it since, but I have looked for it in every Filipino bakery I’ve been to, I just didn’t know the name. I will update my review when I try it. :)

I had such high expectations for the turon. Cheap at $ 0.65, but not great. The banana weirdly enough felt«dry». It didn’t have that smooth consistency you expect of a banana. The chicken empanadas were more disappointing than the turon. The inside was dry as a bone and the dough lacked flavor. I couldn’t even finish one piece. Don’t bother coming here.

Ok when I’ve read reviews about how mind boggling their Turon was, I was a little bias. For years I have been buying Turon at Valerio’s just behing this little square. I didn’t even think to Unilocal turon because I thought I knew where to get delicious ones. I have to say, sadly I have been missing out. This place specializes on turon and boy do they know how to make it. Light, crispy, good size. I couldn’t ask for a better one. I definitely found my new spot.

Love this place! I work accross the street and this is our go to place for potlucks. I also order here for special occasions like Christmas, New Year and Pacquiao fights. Lol. But this place is great. Food is amazing and pretty reasonably priced. Love the turon, pancit and caldereta. So good! They use to have Lechon too which was amazing but they stopped making it January 2015. I would definitely recommend this place for fast, yummy and reasonably priced Filipino food.

The best place to buy turon that I know of. For those that don’t know turon it’s the banana fritters you have probably seen at Filipino parties. Highly recommended!

Let me preface this review by saying I’m not a fan of turon. I know, I know, shoot me, right? I’m just not a fan of the stickiness, but the inside is good! All I know is my family will place an order for these anytime there is a party going on. So if you are a fan of turon — also known as lumpiyang saging or simply put banana lumpia), check this place out. By the way, some of you might be wondering what is Turon? It’s a Filipino snack made of thinly sliced bananas(preferably saba or Cardaba bananas) and a slice of jackfruit, dusted with brown sugar, rolled in a spring roll wrapper and fried — thanks Wikipedia! P. S. Parking can be a hassle, good luck!
