Wonderful selection of women’s frames. Great sales and options. They’re located within walking distance of a few other shops, and this was the best.

I just came back from my visit with Dr. Ken Owyang — not only was his office staff the friendliest I think I have ever had with an eye care center but he was engaging, funny and yet at the same time professional and very thorough — I am not a huge fan of the eye doctors since I have struggled with my eyesight since I was 7 years old, hand down, this was the best eye apt I have ever had. The best part was that I emailed to get an apt, was called back within 15 minutes and told there was a canceled apt that I could get the next day — it’s worth being put on the waitlist as they do manage the call/​email back list — outstanding service from start to finish! Thanks to the entire staff for this superb apt!

My family has seen Dr. Kenneth Owyang (father) and Dr. Keri Owyang (daughter) since we moved here in 2009. They’re located next to Garden Fresh Restaurant on Ramona Street in downtown Palo Alto. Both doctors and their staff are awesome and friendly. They have convenient hours — open late on Thursdays and open on Saturdays too.
Dr. Ken actually corrected a mistake another optometrist made. The other person gave me a glasses prescription that was too strong and gave me headaches. He lowered the strength of the prescription which eliminated the headaches and helped me feel back to normal. He coached me about talking to my VSP insurance about replacing the lenses at a lower cost. He wasn’t making money off this purchase, he was just concerned about my eye health.
My teenage son is rough on his glasses, and they’ve readjusted his glasses with no problem, from missing nose pads to bent frames.
The only caveat is that since they’re so popular on Unilocal,you need to make your appointment as soon as you can.

Meet with Dr. Kenneth Owyang today for the first time. Within literally 5 minutes he had figured everything out as to why my vision wasn’t the way I wanted. He is booked out a month right now because of all the awesome reviews on Unilocal.Well, if you are willing to deal with the wait he is worth it. Super nice guy who shows he really cares and is centered in reality.

I just had my annual exam with Dr. Kenneth Owyang and, as usual, it was a great experience. I have been a client for many (many!) years, and I am always struck by the quality of service, attention to detail, and the fact that he takes his time in answering any questions I may have. He actually cares for his clients and it shows.
Everyone in his office is very helpful and pleasant. It truly is a «find» these days to come upon such great service. I hope to continue seeing Dr. Owyang for many more years.

I stopped by to get my glasses tightened and they were able to fit me in on the fly. I purchased my glasses from another retailer and it wasn’t an issue at all… AND the service was complimentary. The gal took her time and gave me tips on how to keep my glasses from stretching out in the future.

Wide selection of frames, spanning a selection range bigger than that offered by big chain stores, at a competitive price. But you get individual attention from knowledgable staff, val and Jessica on top of all that.

I’ve seen both Dr. Ken Owyang and Dr. Keri Owyang here, and have really enjoyed my visits (which is rare for a dr appointment). Both doctors are knowledgeable, competent, and also have great «bedside manner.» They seem genuinely interested in their patients as people, and have personally responded to emails so I could be seen for an eye infection as soon as possible. Highly recommended!

Dr. Owyang is the best eye doctor I have been to. Over the past 5 years I have had recurring problems with the contact lens in my right eye. I have seen a number of eye doctors all over the place, and no one was really able to figure it out. Of course, it is a tricky eye as it seems to dry up all the time, but all of the contacts I have used in the past were somewhat imperfect. Dr. Owyang did an incredible job trying to understand what was going on and walked me through the pros /​cons of the various contact lenses. He was extremely receptive to my comments, and we finally found a pair of lenses that allows me to see much better than any of my previous contacts! I would highly recommend him.

I have an awful experience at another eye doctor who basically lied to me that my insurance would cover nothing and charged me for her exam in Sunnyvale. Luckily I took another chance and made an appointment with Keri Owyang.
Don’t look anywhere else for your eye needs come here. This is the first eye office where I finally felt that the doctors cared about me and helped me us my VSP insurance the best way. They are HONEST which is a rare thing when it comes to eye doctors. Dr. Keri Owyang did an excellent exam and patiently went through my options and my exam results. She took the time to really talk to me about my eye health and options.
I was so impressed by her care & service that I brought my husband here too. He is very hard to please with customer service and even he raved about the professionalism of this place.
I won’t go anywhere else for my eyeglass/​contact needs. They are honest, friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and most importantly helpful in using your insurance to get the best bang for your buck.

Great place in downtown Palo Alto to go for your vision needs. Dr. Owyang is not only an avid San Francisco Giants fan, but he outlines all of your options as it relates to maximizing your vision plan benefits, He is thorough and easy to talk to and is very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend his services to anyone in the Palo Alto area in need of a good optometrist.

I have been transitioning off of Ortho-​K lenses and so have been to their offices 15+ times over the last 3 – 4 months to get my prescription continually adjusted.
I was afraid at first that because I paid a one-​time flat fee at the beginning, they would be tempted to have me come as few times as possible and to push me through as quickly as possible, but this wasn’t the case at all.
Both Dr. Kenneth and Dr. Keri were amazingly patient and helpful and when I expressed concern about going past the time frame, Dr Kenneth specifically said his goal was to get me the right prescription.
I’ve also made last desperate last minute calls («Help! I’m out of contacts!») and they have been super accommodating every time. I would definitely recommend them to friends.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Ken Owyang since 1993. Optometry is a medical science, but Dr. Owyang adds the art of narrative. First there’s all the testing and measuring and my saying which lense, 1 or 2, 2 or 3 etc. gives the most clarity. Then the story is told. Dr. O explains what is happening with my vision in as much detail as I want, and understandably. He lays out the options of what is covered in my particular insurance plan, and his recommendations.
I think it says a great deal that his daughter, Keri, has chosen to follow him into this profession. I’ve had a few appointments with Dr. Keri Owyang and she seems to have mastered his art and science as well. My husband and daughter are also patients, and satisfied customers!

I’ve been going to Dr. Kenneth Owyang for years. He always, always gets my tricky prescription right. He is very knowledgeable, and he takes his time with each patient. He and his staff are always patient — I’ve watched them handle some difficult patients with real grace. His selection of glasses does leave a bit to be desired, but he doesn’t seem to have any problem with me taking forever when I pick out a pair. He’s also really good at navigating insurance. Total win.

Great doctor! He Doesn’t try to just sell you things unlike the optometry in mountain view — castro, and he is very friendly! Just got a pair of glasses from them and I’m very happy with it!

The best experience I have ever had with an optometrist, hands down. I saw Dr. Kenneth Owyang for a routine eye exam, and also to order new glasses. The exam was thorough, and Dr. Owyang asked a lot of questions, in order to make sure that he was meeting all of my needs. I had a number of questions myself, all of which he answered with honesty and great detail. I can’t emphasize just how comfortable he made me feel, and how willing he was to chat with me about all of my questions and concerns. He even gave me a variety of options regarding the new glasses (as well as ordering contacts), based on how much I was looking to spend. I never once felt like he was trying to up sell me; in fact, it was quite the opposite — he made sure I was clear about all pricing options, and even recommended not ordering new contacts since I still had a few older pairs to go through. Honest, trustworthy and caring — everything you hope to receive from a doctor of any kind.
When my glasses arrived, they actually didn’t feel quite right. The lenses seemed to alter my depth perception. Dr. Owyang was quick to arrange a meeting with me, where he again very thoroughly explained what he thought was going on. He recommended I wear the glasses for a few weeks, to see if my eyes might adjust to this new prescription. I wore them for two weeks, and while things did improve, there was still something that was a bit off. At that point, Dr. Owyang tweaked my lens prescription just a bit, and ordered new lenses. About a week later, I received the new glasses. Since then, they’ve been perfect and I couldn’t be happier. I have no qualms with the way the glasses were handled. In fact, I’m actually thrilled with the way Dr. O handled things. He let me express my concern, explained in his professional opinion what he thought was going on, and when that didn’t work — he fixed the issue quickly. If only working with all doctors were this easy.
Overall, I highly recommend making Dr. O your optometrist. He is highly skilled, honest and extremely caring. You can search all over the Bay Area, but I doubt you will find a more complete optometry experience than the one at Eye on Vision in Palo Alto.

I’ve only been once, but I believe my eyes have found their new home! After not being as satisfied as I was in the past with my previous optometrist, and after a recommendation from a friend, I had the pleasure of being acquainted with Dr. Keri Owyang. She is awesome! I felt so comfortable, it was as if I had been going there for years.
She requested information from my previous optometrists’ office that hadn’t come in by the time she left for the day. Apparently it was her day off the next day but she informed Dr. Kenneth Owyang of what was going on and he took time out to call informing me of where we were with the info. They didn’t allow my sistuation just hang until Keri was back in the office; that was a plus for me.
I look forward to becoming their patient for a very long time!

My family has been seeing (both) Doctors Owyang for about 15 years now. We love them! I live all the way across the country, but I still go in for an appointment when I’m in town visiting my parents. Both doctors (dad & daughter team) are exceptionally nice, great «bedside» manner and really know their stuff. Great doctors all around.
Most recently, my dad came down with an eye infection the Friday before Christmas. It was pretty bad over the weekend, so we went over to see if Dr Owyang could take a quick look between appointments and write a script for anti-​biotic eye drops. We dropped in, waited a bit and Dr Ken Owyang quickly check him out, wrote the script and chit-​chatted with us for a bit. I also had my glasses frame adjusted because they’ve gotten loose over the last year.
The other cool thing is that Dr. Ken Owyang is a HUGE Giants fan, so it’s always fun to talk baseball with him :-)

If you need anything in regards to your eyes, this is the optometry office you need to visit!
