My experience has been that DC is a very poorly run organization, and maybe works well for younger students and kids, but for 12 and over it is not a serious dance class. The ratio of the students, as well as the amount of attention the teacher gives to an individual student to correct posture and other technical aspects has been very varied especially at the higher levels. If you are not one of their premier performance students, you get no attention. At that point, you are there to make money from them. I have instead had my daughter go to other nearby dance studios like the Teen Dance Academy who I feel teach dance to nuture the love of dance instead of trying to make money.

This is a popular dance studio with lots of class options. I would give it 5 stars for the pre-school class. The teachers are great with the kids and teach them age-appropriate dance, not just free-style movement. My other daughter is in pre-ballet. The teacher is great but the class size(12 – 14 girls) is big for that age. So only 4 stars for pre-ballet. The prices are good too!

Most affordable class for toddlers. Let’s face it, unless you’ve got super dancer DNA in your family, your little darling doesn’t really need the celebrity instructor of the former USSR dance troupe. I like this place for the value and the atmosphere, none of that hoitty toitty, we ballerina and we only take the pure bred ballerinas business. My daughter is 3. She just loves to dance and I just want her to enjoy it with others. For $ 55 a month, this is a no hassle way to expose her to some instruction(I have 2 left feet).
