Learn traditional Japanese karate in a safe and supportive environment… and have fun doing it!
Silicon Valley Shotokan Karate has separate classes for kids 6 – 12 years old, teens and adults.
Kids can expect to learn
* the most important kihon (basic) techniques and begin to apply them in a safe and encouraging environment.
* basic kata (forms)
Teens work on the above but at a faster pace and adding more self-defense scenarios.
Adults have a more intense workout, further refining technique while exploring details of physical movement and self-defense scenarios.
Times
Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays at this location. Mondays– 4:00 — 4:45pm for kids; 4:45 — 5:45pm for teens. Wednesdays– 4:15 — 5:00pm for kids; 5:00 — 6:00pm for teens; 6:00 — 7:30pm for adults. Please arrive a few minutes early to change clothes and/or begin warming up.

Classes are taught at Cubberley Community Center at 4000 Middlefield Rd, in Palo Alto
